Pastor Darrell preached today on Luke 18: 31-43 where we see Jesus, the God who hears us and who heals us. What do you want Jesus to do for you? 

Pastor Darrell preached today on Luke 18:18-30, where we seethe rich ruler has it all---except peace with God. He looked to His own goodness, and he treasured money over the Kingdomof God. We were reminded that grace is God doing what's impossible for us to do for ourselves. Jesus lived the perfect life, our sin was put on Him. He rose from the dead, and God reveals Himself to us. Obtaining eternal life by our own efforts is impossible, but God gives us grace and makes eternal life with Him possible.

Pastor Darrell preached on Luke 18:9-17, where we are encouraged to remember what is necessary to enter the Kingdom of God. We must be willing to receive it like a child, in dependence on Jesus.

Pastor Darrell preaches on Luke 18:1-8, where we find what he referred to as The Parable of the Good, Kind, and Righteous Judge. In this passage, we are encouraged not to lose heart and to wait patiently by faith as we trust and love Him.

We were encouraged by Pastor Darrell to remember, believe, and have hope in the resurrection of Jesus. We can do this because God's Word tells us that Jesus is alive. He left the tomb and appeared to many. Those who met the resurrected Christ believed and were changed. He now lives to make intercession for us and draws near to us.

In this message about Christ's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, which we celebrate on Palm Sunday, we see that Jesus is the God and King who comes to us.  We note that He delights to receive the praise of His people.  This sermon was preached right after the baptism of a covenant child.  Pastor Darrell encourages that child's parents--and us all--that not only is Jesus the God and King who comes to us, but He also delights for us to come to Him. In our passage today from Luke 16:16-17, Pastor Darrell and Christ explain how “the Law and the Prophets” (God's Word) all point to Christ, who is the fulfillment of that Word and how, through the proclamation of that Word, the Kingdom of God is filled.
