Tras un merecido descanso después del maratón de novedades que nos supuso la Star Wars Celebration del mes pasado, regresamos con las pilas cargadas. La Fosa del Rancor vuelve a las andadas y para ello os traemos un menú que esperamos hará las delicias de los fans. Primero hablaremos del anuncio de Disney sobre una nueva serie (¿trilogía?) de películas que empezarán a estrenarse partir de diciembre de 2022. Lucasfilm ya ha confirmado que la primera de ellas será realizada por los showrunners de la serie Juego de Tronos: D.B. Weiss y David Benioff. Tendremos un encendido debate sobre la labor de estos autores en las últimas temporadas de Juego de Tronos y si son los candidatos más adecuados ahora mismo para sacar adelante una nueva serie de películas alejada ya de la saga Skywalker. Hablaremos de las posibilidades argumentales de estas películas, hacia donde apuntan los rumores, la idoneidad de este anuncio tan sólo a tres años después de cuando se estrene Star Wars Episodio IX: El Ascenso de Skywalker (de la cual también comentaremos la traducción del título al español) Cómo no, también hablaremos de The Mandalorian ¿este proyecto fue derivado de la tan rumoreada película de Boba Fett? Analizaremos las pistas que tenemos conforme a todos los rumores que surgieron en torno al posible spin off de este personaje. Y como no podía ser de otra manera, dedicaremos un recuerdo-homenaje a la figura de Peter Mayhew, actor que dio vida a nuestro querido wookie Chewbacca en la trilogía original, La Venganza de los Sith y El Despertar de la Fuerza y que nos dejó el pasado 30 de abril. Hablaremos de nuestras experiencias cuando conocimos a Peter Mayhew en distintos eventos y convenciones de fans, así como de las impresiones que nos causó verlo en persona sin el traje del wookie más famoso de la galaxia. Después, siguiendo la tónica de esta nueva temporada, pasaremos a nuestro mini-especial de Star Wars Episodio I: La Amenaza Fantasma. Este mismo mes de mayo se cumplen 20 años del estreno de la primera precuela que inició a toda una nueva generación de chavales en esta saga galáctica. Y para conmemorarlo, hemos entrevistado a Jose María Arosa y Jorge Foley, que acudieron al estreno en Nueva York en mayo de 1999 porque en España no se estrenaría hasta el mes de agosto. Ambos nos contarán sus anécdotas, impresiones y como se vivió el estreno in situ en la ciudad que nunca duerme. No os lo perdáis.
