CrossRoads Church Making and maturing disciples together as a family
In this most transparent prayer, Jesus shares his heart with the Father and then willingly submits to the hard road of the cross. Jesus' obedience demonstrates his trust in the father and validates His earthly words and ministry. 1. We see Jesus' Pattern in Prayer 2. We see Jesus' Heart in Prayer 3. We see Jesus' Will in Prayer

Due to our sinful nature, we will ALWAYS struggle with the desire to be selfish. We want everything to work out in our way and our time. Living a SELFLESS life takes and intentional resolve to wage war on our own selfishness.

Many people think they are operating in submission, but when we see in the Word of God what submission is not, we may find ourselves operating in something very different from submission.

Before Jesus died he suffered much more than just the cross.
As we look at Christ in the garden, we should walk away seeing clearly how utterly dependent we are on him to be our Savior. We should see the depth of despair and temptation he endured as our Savior. We want to come as close as we can to Christ in Gethsemane so that we leave with a deeper sense of awe and affection for him as our Savior.

Our Lord's Prayer series continues.
Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane - His prayer teaches us a lot about who he is and what the cross really means.
This Easter message examines the cup that Jesus drank as he died upon the cross and rose from the grave, conquering death, hell, and sin.
At the moment of our Lord and Savior's greatest vulnerability, Jesus demonstrated the epitome of a championship mentality in almost instantaneously maturing from fear to acceptance of His great call to suffer crucifixion for our sins. Jesus showed the heart of a champion by mustering up the courage to face his fate, rather than letting His fears deter Him from destiny. Much in the same way, if we make it up in our minds that we are champions in Christ Jesus, no amount of trial or temptation will disrupt the plan of God in our lives. You are a champion!
