In Acts 15:22–35, we see how the early church responded when conflict and confusion threatened unity among believers. Rather than allowing division to grow, the apostles, elders, and church leaders came together to seek God's wisdom, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, and communicate their decisions clearly to the church. This passage provides a biblical model for addressing problems in a way that honors Christ and strengthens His people.

In Galatians 5:16–26, Paul calls believers to walk by the Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh. This passage shows the battle between the flesh and the Spirit, the works of the flesh that pull us away from God, and the fruit of the Spirit that is produced in the life of a believer. As followers of Christ, we are called not only to live by the Spirit but to keep in step with the Spirit, faithfully discerning God's direction for our lives.

In Galatians 5:1–15, the Apostle Paul reminds believers that Christ has set His people free—not to return to slavery, but to walk in faith, freedom, and love. As false teachers attempted to lead the Galatian churches back under the burden of the law, Paul passionately calls them to stand firm in the gospel of grace and reject any message that adds human effort to salvation. This passage reveals that faith alone in Christ alone produces two things the enemy hates: true freedom in Christ and genuine brotherly love among believers. Paul warns that the Christian life is a spiritual battle where false teaching constantly threatens to distort the gospel and rob believers of the freedom Christ purchased for them. Yet the freedom found in Christ is not freedom to sin—it is freedom to joyfully serve and love one another.
Andy sits down with legendary vocalist Matthew Ward to explore a career that helped define contemporary Christian music. In Galatians 4:21–31, the Apostle Paul uses the historical account of Sarah, Hagar, Isaac, and Ishmael to illustrate the difference between slavery under the law and the freedom found through faith in Christ. Paul reminds believers that God's promises are fulfilled not through human effort or self-reliance, but through trusting Him and walking by faith.Through this powerful allegory, we see the danger of taking matters into our own hands instead of patiently trusting God's timing and promises. Abraham and Sarah struggled to believe God would fulfill His word, leading to painful consequences when they attempted to accomplish God's plan through human effort. Yet Paul points believers back to the gospel of grace—reminding us that justification comes by faith alone, not by works or religious performance.

In Galatians 4:1–20, the Apostle Paul continues to remind the churches in Galatia of a powerful truth: through Christ, believers are no longer slaves but have been adopted as sons and heirs of God. Once enslaved to sin, the law, and the elementary principles of the world, we have now been set free through the redeeming work of Jesus.Paul warns against the danger of returning to the very things Christ has freed us from. Instead of living in bondage, believers are called to embrace their new identity as children of God—living in the freedom, inheritance, and relationship made possible through Christ. This passage highlights both the beauty of our adoption and the urgency of living in light of it.

In Galatians 3:15–29, Paul reminds believers that while the world constantly changes, God and His promises never do. Pointing back to Abraham, Paul explains that salvation has always been by faith and that the promises of God were never replaced or canceled by the giving of the law. This passage reveals that God's law was given to expose sin and show our need for a Savior, but God's promises stand forever through Jesus Christ. In Him, all who believe are welcomed into the family of God, made heirs according to promise, and given an eternal inheritance.

Are you keeping up with the movement of God?
In Galatians 3:1–14, Paul confronts the danger of self-dependence and calls believers back to a life of faith. The Galatians had begun their Christian walk by trusting in Christ, but were now being tempted to rely on their own efforts and obedience to the law. Paul reminds them that everything in the Christian life—salvation, transformation, and spiritual power—comes through faith, not works. This passage reveals that self-dependence ultimately drives us away from God, while true faith draws us closer to Him. From the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, to justification by the Father, to redemption through the Son, every part of salvation is the work of God—received by faith alone.

In Galatians 2:11–21, Paul confronts Peter over a moment of hypocrisy that threatened the truth of the gospel. As pressure from others led Peter to pull away from Gentile believers, Paul boldly stepped in to defend the reality that justification comes through faith in Christ alone—not by works of the law. This passage centers on one of the most powerful truths in all of Scripture: union with Christ. Through Jesus, believers are not only forgiven—they are made new. Having been crucified with Christ, we now live by faith in Him, freed from the burden of trying to earn righteousness and empowered to walk in new life.
From the Jesus music era to the early days of CCM and beyond, Scott Wesley Brown has seen the industry and his career change. But his dedication to sharing the gospel around the world is as strong as it's ever been!
In Galatians 2:1–10, Paul recounts a pivotal moment in the early church where the truth of the gospel and the freedom found in Christ were both defended and affirmed. As false teachers attempted to add the requirements of the law to salvation, Paul stood firm, ensuring that the message of grace through faith alone remained uncompromised. This passage reminds us that the gospel is not something we modify to fit human expectations. Salvation is not earned through religious effort or adherence to the law—it is a gift of God's grace through Jesus Christ. Because of this, believers are truly free in Christ, not to live carelessly, but to live faithfully, reflecting both the truth of the gospel and the character of Christ.
The modern worship movement officially started in the late 1990s and became the template for CCM success for most of the industry for the foreseeable future. But Jeff Deyo never saw what he was doing as revolutionary, just the natural expression of what God was doing in his life!
In Galatians 1:10–24, the Apostle Paul defends the authenticity of the gospel and reminds believers that their lives are not meant to please people, but to serve Christ. Paul recounts his dramatic transformation—from persecutor of the church to preacher of the gospel—to show that salvation and calling are entirely the work of God's grace. This passage reminds us that the gospel is not a human invention and the Christian life is not built on personal approval or religious achievement. God calls sinners by His grace, transforms them through Christ, and sends them into the world to proclaim the good news. The same grace that saved Paul is the grace that calls believers today to live boldly for Christ and make His name known.
The Newsboys shaped the landscape of 1990s CCM as much as any artist of that era, but the price of success took its toll on John James, ultimately leading to an incredible story of redemption and a second chance to fulfill his calling.

This powerful message centers on John 4 and the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, revealing a transformative truth: our everyday lives are our mission fields. We're challenged to reconsider what it means to live on mission for God—it's not primarily about serving within church walls, but about being the church in the spaces we already occupy. The woman at the well didn't need theological training or permission to share her encounter with Jesus; she simply needed her story and her willingness to return to the very community that had shamed her. What makes this so compelling is the ordinariness of it all—Jesus was tired, sitting at a well, having a conversation. Yet this simple moment became the catalyst for an entire town to meet the Messiah. We're invited to see our workplaces, classrooms, neighborhoods, and families not as distractions from ministry, but as the very locations where God wants to work through us. The question isn't whether we're called to mission—we all are. The question is whether we'll recognize that our calling exists right where we already are, in the relationships we already have, with people who desperately need the hope we've found in Jesus.

John's legacy in the story of Christian music is a rich tapestry of writing enduring songs and being the genius behind so many great artists and albums, but the wisdom he's learned along the way is the real heart of this conversation.
