This week, I'm joined by one of my best friends, Dennis Curlett (@futuremedennisc), to talk about his college mix. We talk about how Dennis didn't really start listening to music till college, and how movies were more influential. Also, we reveal where the term "stan" comes from. With a little Weezer, The Cranberries, Nelly, Britney Spears, *NSYNC, and Eminem, this mix has tons of nostalgic 2000s pop hits. Let me know what you're listening to @thisisthemix. Listen to the mix here. — SHOW INFORMATIONInstagram: Instagram Twitter: Twitter Apple Podcasts: Subscribe Spotify: Follow
How does Emmet draw a long bow connecting Wild Mountain Thyme and Army of the Dead? He finds a way. In happier news we also discuss the Matt "Ireland's favourite uncle" Le Blanc meme and if that brown bread ice cream took your fancy, here's where you can get it.
This week @noelhogan from @thecranberries shares the rollercoaster of careening from critics' darlings to believing their record had flopped, to dominating US college radio, all within a few months, everything which followed from that, and coping with the loss of Dolores. Thanks, Noel!!

It is Monday and by now you SHOULD know the drill! Each week we present a band that one of us personally loves and this week that one of us is none other than Steve. He will be showing us a band that he likes and as we all listen to the stories that come along with it, there is a chance you will also like this band.Steve digs back to the 90s for this one but for good reason. It might bring him back to a place where he wanted to re-visit or was reminded of how much he used to love to listen to this particular band. There is a moment in the episode where Kevin hasn’t even heard the song played but it brings him back to when he was younger at a friends house. It is amazing how music can do that! Just listening to a song that came from a certain time period can instantly put you there. We have said it many times on this podcast but music is such a wonderful thing and that is just one of the many reasons. For the band this week, there is a huge hit that they had and were successful from it but they have more to offer. Did you have a pre-conceived thought of this band after you figured out who it was? Reach out to us and tell us about it. There is no shame, we just love to talk music! So don’t be shy and use any or all of the links to contact us directly. Thank you for supporting this podcast and tuning in each week. We have not missed a Monday yet so be sure to tune in next week and to pass along the good news. It is easy to share this podcast with your friends and loved ones!
