We've really been neglecting the other shhh on this podcast, so we decided to fix that with a visit from MUCH Creator, stand up comedian and soon-to-be LA resident Matt O'Brien. We took the Joe Rogan route and picked his brain on the path to becoming a comedic sensation over a couple solid seasonal brews courtesy of Muskoka Brewery. This is most definitely the funniest episode ever. Beers Reviewed: Muskoka Harvest Ale (2016), Muskoka Shinnicked Stout. There's nothing us beer nerds love more than a porch bomb, so we caught up with Julien Pouliot of Brewster Club, the newest monthly beer subscription service that also happens to be a physical liquor store based out of Plattsburgh, NY. Neighbourhood breweries are all the rage, and there's no bar more attuned to their 'hood than Mile End's HELM. You guys already know how much we love the Bières et Saveurs festival in Chambly, and this year we got our media passes, took our fluffy mic and accidentally got sloppy drunk chatting to some great folks, drinking a ton of incredible beers. We interviewed Daniel Essiambre (Brouhaha), Claude Demers (Festival Director), Jean Gadoua (Farnham), Benoit (Microbrasserie du Lièvre), Miguel (Barcelona Beer Festival), and Matthew (Unibroue). For our final podcast of the Australia trip, we ventured out to Croydon, about 30km east of Melbourne to visit Head Brewer Brendan Guild (aka Brendo) at The Public Brewery. And it's not your standard brewery - they offer a super popular 'make your own' experience to punters, along with their fantastic restaurant and extensive tap and bottle list. We had a great yarn about their humble beginnings, the Aussie craft beer industry and home brewing. Beer Reviewed: The Public Brewery Smoke On The Porter. Whenever Cee asked around about the best breweries in Australia, Mornington was consistently on every list he was handed. So while he was in Australia, he sat down with Head Brewer Andrew 'AG' Gow at the brewery in Mornington for a yarn about all things beer in Australia. Side note: We had some audio issues, we did our best to clean it up but stick with it, the convo is worth it. Beer Reviewed: Mornington Peninsula Brewery Pale Ale. Who would've thought we'd be doing a podcast from Australia? Well, it was kinda likely seeing that Cee is from Melbourne, when you think about it. He was back home on family business and figured he should connect with the local beer scene and see what's up, so his first move was to catch up with Tiffany Waldron from Fitzroy's unfortunately now defunct Two Row Bar to chat about Aussie beer, America and our Kiwi mates. Man, this was a random one. What started out as a simple 5-10min podcast turned into our longest yet. Cee handled this one solo, attending the Montreal launch of Beau's brand new Farm Table IPA and he ended up sitting down with Quebec General Manager Stew and Beau's Brewmaster Matt O'Hara.
