Abundant Life Community Church
When we live an ordered life, we are living a life of evangelism through our conduct. Submission and Subjection--two different things. Listen as Pastor Brad shares ways to order our lives before God and government.
We are living stones because we are connected to the Jesus the cornerstone. And as Living Stones, we are unique in form, but unified in function. We are living stones and with these rocks, Jesus will build His church.
We need to be ready to respond to God's call in every season.
We are called to love one another in the body of Christ
We are called as Christians to be holy...to be se apart from the world. By renewing our minds daily we can live separate from that which once held us in bondage.
Pastor Brad talks about the benefits of the Born Again life.
Being born again is great for both now and eternity!
The message is not "learn about Jesus and your life will get better." The message is "be born again into a new and living hope." It is the great RESET.
Sound doctrine is what will keep us heading towards the move of God, not away from it.
The cross looks like foolishness to the world, but we are called to be foolish! Bring on the fools!
The Babel mindset vs the reverse of babel... a new way of living.
Just as Noah's sin was covered, your sin is covered. Just as Japheth was included, you are included. God imparted that covering to you. He calls us to impart that covering to others that they, too, may be restored, redeemed, set free, made whole.
As the rainbow was the sign of the covenant given to Noah, communion is the sign of the covenant given to us. And the sign of this covenant (communion) is not only about what Jesus did, it is also a proclamation of what He has yet to do!
God is calling us to participate in The Reset by positioning ourselves to hear His voice and worship His goodness.
If we're going to see a Reset in 2021, we're going to need some "But Noahs." God has placed you in the middle of a crooked and twisted time, so that you can shine for him.
Fasting is a physical act with spiritual results, and we'll never be the same!
What if we began to pray, "God...YOUR kingdom come; YOUR will be done?"
Jesus is the ONLY door to salvation. When we enter through the door of Jesus, our eternity is secure. When we walk through the door of Jesus, we are walking through the door of freedom. Take hold of the Abundant Life!
Mary brought Jesus into the world. We too, are called to bring Jesus to our world.
We don't rejoice when someone loses. We rejoice when someone is restored!!
What noise in your life keeps you from pursuing Jesus? "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal." Philippians 3
We need to position ourselves to receive the best that God has for us. His plans are way bigger than we can imagine.
We tend to rationalize the path to poor decisions, but if we don't cut it out, it may take us out.
Jesus calls his disciples--us--to an uncomplicated, childlike faith. One where we're teachable, authentic, carefree and dependent.
Walking fully in the authority of God requires knowing the heart of God.
When the glory of the Lord shines through us, it's what the world will see. Our transformation is dependent on the presence of God upon us.
The "opportunity cost" of not following Jesus is the loss of the blessed life that starts now. Because as Christ followers we don't have to wait until eternity to have joy and peace and life; we can have them now!
Let's ask Jesus to restore our spiritual vision...because He can. And He will.
There is nothing we can do to measure up to God. But we can become someone who has been transformed by Jesus...from the inside out!
When the I AM is in the storm with you, there is nothing to fear.
Sometimes it isn't a location change, a net change, a church change; it's a change of perspective--a pivot. Listen as Pastor Eric reminds us how a pivot in the same boat changed the destiny of the disciples. And how a complete pivot changed the church through Peter's life.
Missions update. Pray for our missionaries! We are all sent, no matter where we work or where we live.
The eunuch asks Philip "why not me?" and gets baptized in the first water he sees. Why not you?
Church--it's go time! Each one of us is sent, is being sent. But if we want to be effective in proclaiming Jesus, we must walk in HIS authority, the authority he has given us in Jesus. We must go in truth. And we must go in power, the power of the Holy Spirit alive in us. Go. church!!
Even when life is disappointing...even in tragedy, in sorrow, in pain we need to start expecting the unexpected from our God. We need to remove distractions and hold on to faith because Jesus always has a way.
Don't let the fear of rejection keep you from being sent.
In this message Pastor Brad teaches us that Jesus doesn't count anyone out.
Hard to imagine anyone not in a storm. But we've got to take our cues from Jesus. When Jesus was in a storm, he didn't lose sight of his destination; he didn't think God had abandoned him; he didn't respond in fear instead of faith. Jesus spoke to the storm. And we, too, can declare the name of Jesus over our storm.
We make a difference when we walk in Jesus' authority and give the glory to him.
The baptism of Jesus paved the way for his ministry by empowering him to do the work of the Father. It is a perfect picture of the way we are to connect with others, be empowered by the Spirit, find our identity through our relationship with the Father, and impact the world in his name.
Sent is an action word. We need to be active disciples.
Our response to the division we are experiencing in our world needs to be led by God's love.
The same Holy Spirit who inspired the Word of God will cause it to come alive to you in the form of a weapon that defeats the enemy. Listen as Pastor Brad unpacks the last of the armor of God--the sword of the Spirit.
God's love comes with a great set of armor to protect us. The Helmet of Salvation protects our minds from the attacks of the enemy.
We are called to take on the armor of God and take a stand against the evil one. Today, Pastor Brad teaches about the shield of faith. When we hold up the shield of faith, we will not succumb to the arrows of the enemy.
Fear is the trap that the enemy lays for our feet. BUT...fear loses its power in the presence of peace. Listen here as Pastor Brad shares with us about the third component of the armor of God--the shoes of peace. The enemy transcends logic with fear; Jesus transcends logic with peace. Amen.
The enemy wants to get to your heart, but he can't get through righteousness! Listen as Pastor Brad shares about the second piece of our spiritual armor--the breastplate of righteousness. We don't need to live emotion to emotion but rather in the confidence that NOTHING can get through the breastplate of righteousness.
