In our exploration of Ephesians 6:15, we delve into the profound concept of having our 'feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.' This powerful metaphor reminds us that in a world of chaos and conflict, peace is not weakness, but spiritual power. The gospel of peace is our foundation in a hostile world, representing Jesus himself as the Prince of Peace who has broken down walls of hostility. We're challenged to step into the world every day wearing the right kind of spiritual shoes, ready to proclaim this message of reconciliation. The sermon emphasizes that our peace is not found in religion or our own efforts, but in Jesus alone. As we reflect on this, we're encouraged to share our personal stories and convictions about who Jesus is, offering clarity and honesty as a gift to those around us who may be confused about God.

Today we are looking at the shoes of the Gospel of Peace that is part of the Amour of God. In modern sport, there are specific shoes for each sport. Shoes on a tennis court are different from shoes on a football pitch. Different surfaces require different shoes. When we go hillwalking, we wear proper shoes. The last thing you would want is improper shoes that may cause you to slip or fall. Flip-flops might not be the best choice for climbing Ben Nevis. I have an uncle who took me and my brothers to Sea World. It was an aquarium and amusement park combined. For whatever his reasons were that day, he wore cowboy boots. His feet were so sore that we had to leave early. Those weren't the best choice for walking miles and miles. Have you ever worn the wrong shoes or broken in a new pair and got the blisters that go with it? Soldiers know the importance of their feet and take precautions to keep them dry and safe. If an army can't move. They can be easily defeated. Pun intended!Preparation is a word meaning “a prepared foundation.” The gospel provides the footing for everything we do.
Ephesians 6:15 urges us to fit our feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. But what does that really mean when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or just plain loud?In this week's episode, Angie and Katie dig into what it looks like to walk in peace, not as the absence of conflict, but as the presence of God's steadying hand. Together, they explore how recalling God's faithfulness helps us stand firm, even when the road ahead is rough. From moments of soul agitation to days when everything feels out of step, peace becomes possible when we remember who walks with us. The Christian life requires the proper "foot wear" if he is going to remain standing at the end of the battle against the attacks of the devil. This spiritual foot gear refers to a readiness to extend the very same peace given to the Christian to others wherever we go. It is not about evangelism, but being a person whose life is marked by extending peace to others.

Peace is something everyone wants, but true peace is not something we can earn. It's not something you can attain after many years of hard work. True peace isn't found in a peace treaty between nations. It's not found when you get the house you always wanted, or you have the money you need to retire, or your kids are perfect. Those things might bring a measure of happiness or a temporary feeling of relief, but they are not a true picture of peace. It's not the type of peace that has eternal value. Instead, genuine, lasting, joy-filled peace only starts when we have peace with God. In a world which seems to be becoming increasingly polarised, fractious and bitter - when life feels like a battle - how are those who have centred their lives on Jesus to live? Paul's encouragement to the church in Ephesus is to shift their perspective; remembering that people are not the enemy, but that there is a spiritual battle going on which can be easily missed. In light of that reality, what's needed is supernatural support, and that's what God gives to His people in the form of a spiritual armour which gives the strength to stand. This week, Adrian explores the final piece of the armour: shoes, which are to be the peace that comes from the Good News, which enables the wearer to be fully prepared. NOTE: Towards the end, Adrian accidentally says the wrong name of the author of 'It Is Well With My Soul' - the correct author is Horatio Spafford.

In battle, it was critical that a Roman soldier have sure footing to give him stability and confidence, both in travel as well as in hand-to-hand combat. Paul draws on this principle of stability to teach us something about the gospel, and the peace God provides through it. In this episode, Jeff explains more about the armor of God, and how important it is for us to have the right kind of "footwear."
Peace is essential in the spiritual battle, but it doesn't come automatically—it must be fought for. In this episode, we explore the Shoes of Peace from the armor of God and how they equip us to stand firm in life's challenges. Discover how to overcome self-doubt, trust God in every circumstance, and live in the conquering peace that only Christ provides. True peace isn't passive; it's powerful and transformative. #SpiritualWarfare #PeaceInChrist #ArmorOfGod

We continue our study on the armor of God by talking about the shoes of peace. Why does peace feel so elusive? And if we find ourselves craving it, why do we resist the habits and practices that bring it? We get honest about why we reject the peace available to us and dig into what peace has to do with the gospel. We're talking about trading fear and anxiety for trust and confidence so we can walk with stead feet - fully prepared to meet challenges, spread love, and experience a life filled to the brim with life-giving peace.

In Ephesians 6:15, we look at the power of spiritual traction, protection, and mobility through the “shoes of peace”. We learn how the gospel of peace equips us with spiritual readiness to navigate life's challenges with agility.

Protective gear is important when engaging in dangerous things. In Ephesians 6, Paul outlines the reality that believers are continually engaged in a spiritual battle with sin and the enemy. Thankfully, God has provided all the protection that we need to stand firm and stand strong when the enemy attacks. In this message, Pastor Chris Rieber investigates three of the six pieces of spiritual armor designed to protect the follower of Christ.

Shoes of Peace and Solar Plexus Embodying the Full Armor Shoes of the Gospel of Peace // Solar Plexus Chakra The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace correspond to the Solar Plexus Chakra because of the importance to be grounded in the Gospel of peace and progressively move towards peace with self and others whenever possible. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18, AMP The Lord has blessed each of us with supernatural gifts that are the center (the core) of who we are in Him. When we truly know our identity in Him and why He created us, we can live with a profound peace. This life force epicenter is also known as the Power Chakra. It is located in the solar plexus (deep in the belly) and is associated with governing our personal power, will, autonomy, as well as our digestion and metabolism. It's your core - your authentic, true self and what makes you, you. It beckons the following questions: What is at your core center? What do you love to do? What would you be doing right now if money wasn't an issue? I pray there is a fire in your belly that God begins to fan, because living from this place will bring you the peace that passes all understanding (Phil. 4:7). Finding your God-given purpose by applying the dreams - the ‘fire in your belly,' will lead to a life of peace where you dwell in your sweet spot. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19, NLT Both the Solar Plexus Chakra and the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace symbolize inner strength, confidence, and a sense of purpose. The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with ego, personal power and self-esteem, while the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace represent the readiness to spread goodwill and harmony in the world. Both provide a sense of purpose, spiritual readiness and assurance while being a strong foundation for navigating battles with courage and resilience. Just as the Solar Plexus Chakra empowers one to take action and stand firm in their beliefs, the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace enable believers to walk confidently and peacefully in their God-given destiny! Even though this episode with Pastor Phil Manginelli is a lengthier interview, I strongly encourage you to invest the extra time. You will gain an understanding of spiritual warfare and how to prepare for it, which are invaluable to your walk as a Christ-follower.Phil Manginelli is the lead pastor of The Square Church in Smyrna, GA. In this interview, Phil shares his knowledge about the challenge of spiritual warfare, specifically what it is, who is the target of the enemy's schemes, and how the weapons of the armor of God are the most effective weapons to defeat the enemy when he attacks. Phil explains that the enemy and a greater movement of darkness connected to the enemy devise schemes to oppose Jesus, His mission, and His people. The enemy's mission is noted in John 10:10, which reads, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” When we are in a spiritual battle, the enemy attacks repeatedly to convince us to give up our faith, our belief in Jesus, our hope, our confidence, and our trust in Jesus. We must remember that God is with us and He fights for us. In the middle of the well-known passage in Ephesians 6 about the armor of God are the words “after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then.” Phil explains how standing your ground when the enemy is attacking may not look like victory, but it is.Phil admits that the strategies of knowing our identity in Christ and prayer to prepare for a spiritual battle may seem obvious, God promises these two weapons will defeat the enemy. Notable quotes from this episode with Phil Manginelli: · “The promises are not that we won't face challenges. In fact, this is what I love about Jesus is He's honest. It's kind to be honest. And over and over again, He tells us the truth. You will suffer. You will walk through hardships. You are going to have trials. You are going to face difficulties.”· “What the Scriptures tell us it's there in the challenge God isn't necessarily making go away, but He is present with us where He does the deepest work of our lives. He does the most transformational work of our lives.”· “There's a knowing of God that only comes in hardship.”· “There is a place of strength you'll only find in weakness.”· “We have normalized a prayerless Christianity.” Scripture references: John 16:33, Ephesians 6:10-18, 2 Timothy 2:13, 1 Peter 5:8-10, and Revelation 12:12 Connect with Phil Manginelli: On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pmanginelliOn Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pmanginelli/Watch his sermons: https://www.youtube.com/@TheSquareChurch Send me a COMMENT or QUESTION!
The shoes that Roman soldiers wore were important so that they allowed them to be stabilized and mobilized. As Paul writes in Ephesians, he calls Christians to stand and put on the armor of God, including shoes of peace. You can't afford to let life's circumstances cause you to stumble. You are called by God to stand, and you are called to stand on the gospel of peace. The enemy wants to hinder that calmness, comfort, and confidence of where your peace is found. This is the very reason that your peace must come from the gospel and the gospel alone. Listen to this sermon about putting on the shoes of peace in the fourth part of our Stand series. It's time for a peace check!
