Break that linear thought process. The who whats and whys of security. Plus a little break down of the M.A.S.S. Course.
These two topics go hand in hand and in my opinion are one of the leading reasons people spend so much time in Respawn. So what are they, how can you use them, how do you defend them?
So how often do we talk about Flanking but rarely do we talk about how to defend against it. This episode goes into that a good bit.
What are Force Multipliers, how effective are they, how should you use them? SHOULD you use them?
How do you train? do you train to fail? Do you utilize OPFOR as just a token resistance, or are they actually a viable method of training and learning what your failure points are?
Welcome to 2015! right out of the gate we discuss Patrolling what it is. what is it made up of. How do you do it?
The ins and outs of using smoke, few quick tips on how to better utilize and be safe with smoke in your next Op.
Lets talk about the Basics. why are they important? Update on BB's Not Bullies. Happy Birthday United States Marine Corps!
This podcast is more about scenarios then anything with Halloween coming up, and talking about some fun scenarios and a few things I've seen that make them really fun. Also a heartfelt thank you about the "Bb's Not Bullies" program.
So this question has been asked alot, how do I defend a building/area with four people. Having just attended Blacksheep Milsim at Camp Guernsey I had the opportunity to do just that and here is some insight into that.
Vehicles are becoming a popular items to see at Airsoft events, whats some important things to know when operating a vehicle, and when operating as infantry in support or having a vehicle support your infantry operations?
Talk about a few observations from a leadership role, also a announcement about a "Milsim Skills School". As well as a direct talk about SB199. It effects airsoft as a whole and Education is key, take the time to listen fully then do your part.
Why are mental skills so important in Airsoft and often the least worried about or developed?
Logistics. Just like Morale its often the most over looked, and under appreciated job, but on top of it, its one of the most important in keeping the troops in the fight.
Morale plays a bigger factor in your airsoft games then most people realize. I discuss a few factors on how Morale is effected and how it can be effected. And why worrying about Morale is such a important thing.
What are some important factors to conducting a Defensive operation. Now take those and throw in night time. We discuss defensive operations at Broken Home 3 by American Milsim, a few important factors and key things to do to make your defense work for you.
Two mentalities when used together will help you no matter the situation you find yourself in. I discuss communication being more then just about radios, and how team work can help with any situation.
In this podcast I go over the steps to React to Contact as well as Break Contact. I also cover the importance of Speed and Violence of Action, 360 degree security and how important Fire Superiority is.
What is it, how do you do it? Why is it important? A little understanding into Breaching and how it can and is used in Airsoft.
We discuss what makes up an Ambush, how you can apply this knowledge to conducting Ambushes in Airsoft, as well as what you need to do to fight your way out of an Ambush. Also, as always Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AirsoftMilsimTacticalTrainingPodcast
Mastering Terrain, an often forgotten skill set that should be in your play book for your milsim kit. I discuss Sun Tzu, and his rules of Mastering Terrain and try and translate them to Airsoft/Milsim
I talk about key factors to making Offensive and Defensive operations work, as well as mentality involved. Relate a few stories of each, as well as put some word out about SB 199 in California, and a simple request about leaving your orange muzzle on your Airsoft AEG.
I cover the following. Fire Arms Safety rules and Weapon Conditions. Stance, Grip, Movement, Reload, and Shooting Drills. Like our facebook page at www.facebook.com/airsoftmilsimtacticaltrainingpodcast and stay tuned! Hopefully news on some Patches and a TAC Manual will be popping up. Thanks for listening!
What is the Battle Buddy System, what can it do for you, your team, your field and the Airsoft Community? How does the Battle Buddy system help fight PTSD?
Three rules are pretty much the hardline as I see it for Airsoft. 1. Full Seal Eye Protection/Face protection 2. Be Honorable 3. Treat your weapon as a weapon, keep it cased, and follow the weapon safety rules.
In this podcast I discuss what I typically take with me in regards to gear to any Milsim Operation, as well as how I prepare for 24+ hour Operations. Below you'll find the Gear list I use, please copy, and use as you need! At a minimum I take the following in my Mountain Alice Pack with me on any field operations. Real world and Airsoft. Alice Pack (Medium): - 1 Additional Set of Utilities - 2 Pairs of socks - 2 Pair of Skivvy drawers (Underwear) - 2 Undershirts - Hygiene kit, to include toothbrush/paste/soap/shampoo/fieldtowl/under arm grease (Deodorant) Beard Oil - Poncho and Poncho Liner (MUST HAVE!, if you don't use it for anything else other then sleeping in. ) -Cold Weather Layer- Polypro underwear Tops and Bottoms (Long Underwear) (even if you don't need them pack them, made the mistake at Guernsey of pulling them out of my pack to wash them and not put them back in). - Shell Jacket (Something that is light like a wind breaker and can fit over your uniform but under your gear) - Gloves, Cold Weather and Work - Flashlight, with green/red lens, additional batteries for EVERYTHING (One flashlight in pack, one on gear) - Multi Tool (in pack or on gear) - First Aid Kit/Sewing Kit - Baby wipes non smelly - 3 days Food ( cooking utensil/pocket stove is optional but nice to have ) - Pogue Bait (Snacks, Candy, Comfort foods etc.) - Sleeping Bag (Mine is compressible to fit on the bottom of my pack. If you don't feel like bringing a sleeping bag that’s where your poncho and poncho liner come into play. remember, your going to be sleeping only for short periods and in full kit and uniform, so you wont need much to stay warm). - Additional water(Canteens or  Hydration system of your choice. This is not on the one you carry on your gear, this is an Additional to that one. Never have to much water). - Additional small items you might need/want. On Person: Uniform: Utility Uniform, with Undershirt, Hat: Boonie, Ballcap Boots: Broken in! Water resistant/proof, good solid soles Socks Skivvy drawers, clean Watch Shemagh, bandanna Beard (Not Optional) Battle Belt /w following Three Primary Magazines Two Secondary Magazines IFAK Individual First Aid Kit Multi Tool Two Canteens (/w Canteen cup) Butt Pouch (More Pogue Bait, 1 MRE,  mole skin, Bbs, Speed Re-loader, small additional might need) Pistol and Pistol holster Harness Chest Rig /w following 6 Primary Magazines Shotgun shell pouch Compass and Compass holder Admin pouch /w rip away map, map pens, pen&paper Additional Pouch (BB, Speed Re-loaders, for anything else) Airsoft Specific: Primary Weapon /w sling Backup Primary (Bivouac area, Gear box) Batteries, Multiple (in Additional Pouch on battle belt, Chest Rig and Alice Pack Field Charger (Bivouac area. Gear box) Pistol /w Magazine (Battle Belt) Co2 12 grams (Shotgun Pouch) BB's (Chest Rig, Battlebelt, Alice Pack) Silicone Oil/Spray (Bivouac area, Gear box) Goggles, 2 Sets (ANSI rated, full seal) Mesh Face Mask (not required but highly recommended) Dead Rag (Carry two) This is my typical packing list/gear load out. My Alice pack doesn’t stay with me. It is typically staged at HQ/CP with the rest of the squads and I operate out of my Gear.  Adjust to what you have/what you think you'll need. Don't hump a three day assault pack around if you don't need to. You'll always have a fall back location I.E. your Company CP. Sleeping in the field: Pretty simple, first your going to be sleeping in the field, there is no going back to the barracks. If your squad is tasked with a defensive operations or offensive operations and its going to be during a time when you think you might get some shut eye, take your poncho liner with you, they are small enough if you have a buttpack you can stuff it in there. If you don't have a poncho liner take your shell jacket for cool evenings. If you are in the CP/HQ during sleep cycles pull out the poncho liner and rack out. Don't expect to get full 8 hours of sleep, Don't EVER take off your uniform/boots/gear. Don't EVER sleep with out your weapon in your hands. and Dont EVER let your whole squad sleep at the same time.Â
