House without boundaries
So here's my 2hr warm up set for On Hubert Street on Easter Saturday, think soul, think funk, think electro-funk, think edits, think house
Here's my mix and the soundtrack to a very intimate NYE that was with some very special people. This absolutely ain't no disco, but as you would expect, there is some in a 5 hour Slave to the Vibe journey of a mix covering 3 decades of music from edits to disco, disco to house, house to tech and tech to techno and back again...lots of stuff you know, but maybe not the mixes you know, together with a sprinkling of funHope you have as much fun listening as we did on the nightThanks for all your support in 24 on the gigs I decided to play…which is very few these days
One for the disco queens, soul boys and house heads…Here's my mix from September's On Hubert Street alongside the legendary Sadar Bahar and fellow residents for the one and only Barry May's 60th Birthday This is one of those gigs I love to dig really deep for, getting to play the tracks that inspired me over the decades from being a young teenager. It's an eclectic mix of soul, funk, disco, nu-disco, Balearic beats, house and electro-funk
Manchester Adored did it again, pulled an amazing line up out of the hat, securing two of the 90s legends that influenced and helped shape my sound… Allister Whitehead and Jeremy Healy. Adored is always one of the highlights of my gig calendar, causing me to dig really deep and giving me the perfect opportunity to put together a mix that reflected THE decade of the dance scene, packed with tracks from the glamorous house of Peruvia and Miss Moneypenny's and Cream's main room, but with some modern and Manchester twists.Settle in for the ride and enjoy x
So 2 years after the Slave To The Vibe livestreams stopped, we had a little gathering to remember and this is the set I played, covering soul, funk, electro funk, disco, house, funky house, tech, techno and trance….4hrs 15mins of musical goodness covering my musical journey from the first club I ever went to, though to magical days of cream, the Twisted Elegance years and the decades of partying in Ibiza
Here's my set from On Hubert Street at the Hideout Terrace. Thing soul, funk, disco, house and edits. A little different from my last OHS mix and with a few surprises. Ive also thrown in a couple of extra tracks at the end that I wanted to play but didn't get the chance. If you haven't been to one of these parties, I strongly recommend you do…they're a little special to say the least
So back to play at one of my fave gigs, Manchester Adored at the legendary Bowlers alongside some absolute legends of the scene. This was an earlier set than normal so in true Slave To The Vibe style it spans many house genres, all on a classics tip, including remixes and live edits, while finishing up with disco twist on a big vocal anthem. I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I did playing the set at Adored x

Here's the set I played at the amazing Manchester Adored in the Acid House Arena, which is always a highlight of calendar. It's packed with big classics, edits and remixes from the magical decade of house, the 90's, as well as a couple from the 80's for good measure.Enjoy x
So, On Hubert Street, what can I say?Firstly, the chance to play this event alongside such an amazing bunch of DJs and legends of the scene was an honour. My set was the warm up and only listened to live by the select few that made it early doors, but warm up is warm up and you have to prep for every eventuality and that's what I did. Digging deep into the music that really inspired my in the very early 80s of electro funk, funk, soul, disco and edits…as well as a few other bits I don't normally get to play, thrown in for my personal pleasure. It's amazing as a DJ when you get to play the music that inspired you, yet for me I never thought I'd actually get the opportunity to do it! I enjoyed it that much, I thought I should share mix with you all….I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did playing it.Very much on an 80's Street Sounds / Electro/ Balearic Beats tipAs for the party, let's just say, my warm-up was then followed by 12 hours of musical magic, finally calling it a day and leaving the dance floor nearly 13hrs after playing my first track…and that was down to the fine selectors that followed! On Hubert Street and Barry May….it was an absolute pleasure!

Tribal/ big room house, with a touch of breaks has always been a fave sound for me, best heard in the likes of the Ibizan church, Pacha, at Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself nights, when the man himself would perform his legendary 7 hour sets that would take you on a real journey. With tribal beats and the big room sound starting to come through again I thought I would do a mix capturing the that sound over the last 4 decades. Enjoy x
