Join friends and Home and Away fans Fáinche and Maria as they discuss the good, the bad and the never ugly of every Irish person’s favourite Australian seaside town, Summer Bay. Former housemates, they spent 7 years, every evening, watching (and talking through) Home and Away. So they decided to put their running commentary in to podcast format. Come for the content, stay for the craic. Find us on Twitter @unofficialbttb or on Instagram @backtothebaypod
Vita Nova strike again, in the form of Jordan the wards-man. Poor Justin, another near miss for him. Suffocation would have been a bad way to go. This week the ladies also (virtually) discuss Alf's celebration, Flick's hesitation, Irene's trepidation and Lyric's complication. Tweet/X us @unofficialbttb
We're on a theme of growth this week in The Bay. Irene tells Roo to grow up. Mali needs to grow up and confront his Promise Wife. It's the first episode of 2024 and the girls are feeling positive, but testing negative. Fake Covid has struck resulting in a BTTB first - a socially distanced episode. Be warned, it's not without it's hitches... Recorded on Nollaig na mBan (Women's Christmas), the girls discuss the women of action and the men of, well, inaction in The Bay. Leah, with the hair of a goddess, saves the day; Lyric ruin our day and Irene has a very bad day.
It's a season finale in The Bay, not that Maria and Fáinche knew! Whoops! Anyway, the girls wring a lot out of that one episode leading Maria to dive down a rabbit-hole of Justin's other brushes with disaster. Fáinche brings us another #cringeorbinge with a left of centre mention of sports. Like, share and rate #homeandaway

The girls are delighted to be back with Season 3. It was a long break between seasons and a lot went down in The Bay in that time but Fáinche and Maria breeze through the highs and lows of storylines since they were off air. The current storylines get the usual in-depth analysis, while a sad In Memoriam is also discussed. #homeandaway #backtothebaypod
Bad News: It's the Season Finale. Good News: Fáinche's Back! And just in time to watch Justin go up against the Australian Judicial System with David The Lawyer by his side. Away From The Bay were talking Auld Dads and the truth about Una Healy's Throuple. You heard it here first! See you in September #homeandaway
It's our 50th episode and Maria struggles to find words to rhyme with 'golden'. With Fáinche still away Orla's back and getting caught up in the little details. This week the girls are happier with the going's on in the Bay. Crazy Heather, Drunk Cash, Manic Maz; what's not to love. Oh wait, Lyrik. That's what. Away from the Bay gets serious, with political opinions on heads of lettuce.
We prayed to the soap gods, and they answered, with Heather! Finally, we've had a good week, and we're not done yet! Marilyn is on the edge, Cash is on the edge, and quite frankly- so are we! Away From the Bay is also the usual edge of your seat stuff from the world of celebs this week. Enjoy!
