Welcome to another episode of The Inclusive AF Podcast with your hosts Jackye Clayton and Katee Van Horn! In this insightful and candid conversation, we welcome back Eric M. Bailey—author of "The Cure for Stupidity"—to dig deep into the ever-evolving world of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) at work. Things are shifting fast: DEI language is being weaponized, organizations are changing their approach (or just changing the name), and real change often feels stuck. Eric shares what he's seeing in the field, how companies are struggling (or doubling down!) on inclusion, and why masking DEIB work with “safer” words doesn't actually change what matters most—creating spaces where everyone feels they belong. We get real about: - Why changing terminology (like removing “diversity” or “equity”) misses the point - The cultural backlash against DEI and how it affects workplaces and nonprofits - How fear, discomfort, and misunderstood language create roadblocks (and why that discomfort is part of growth!) - The power of curiosity and active listening to actually move inclusion forward - Hilarious, relatable stories about idioms, travel, and what happens when cultural worlds collide Whether you're leading DEIB work, feeling discouraged by social and political barriers, or simply looking to grow and understand others better, this episode offers hope, wisdom, and a gentle push to stay curious, open, and kind. ➡️ Don't forget to subscribe, like, and drop your thoughts in the comments! Imagine being so intellectually lost that when reality smashes you in the face, you push back on the world instead of admitting you were wrong. That, my friends, is the Leftist species' defense mechanism: transference—not in therapy, but in politics. Here are a few things to consider.Like stopping crime in DCInsider trading by Pelosi and other politicians. But before I get to some of the Left's latest dingbat actions, let's go back a bit to understand how they think…See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Friends,After writing my previous episode, AEWCH 298, where I laid out my thoughts on how to reflect on A.I. to get to beyond the basic, boring conversation, I read ADAM BECKER's excellent book, More Everything Forever: AI Overlords, Space Empires, and Silicon Valley's Crusade to Control the Fate of Humanity .I immediately invited him on the show, and I wish I would've read it before. Even though there is plenty of overlap, Adam's vantage point offer a full vision of tech culture, and reveals just how deeply anti-science is is. That impact comes from the fact that Adam is great writer but also an astrophysicist, and author of the excellent popular book on quantum physics, What Is Real?: The Unfinished Quest for the Meaning of Quantum Physics. We talk about how we got here in science and technology, why technology has been conflated with science, how conspiracy and science intersect, and what physics has to do with all of this.Of course the conclusion is that A.I. is not super smart, not supported by smart people, that the fantasies of tech billionaires are bonkers, and that the singularity is not near because it's not even a thing.SUPPORT THE SHOW ON PATREON: patreon.com/connerhabib

When you are in a hole, stop digging. How much deeper into the void of stupidity will we go before common sense returns? Going viral, getting clicks, winning the news cycle, cashing in. Epstein files, mass deportation, ICE raids, "big beautiful bills", MAGA, progressives, moderates. All being discussed by the least trustworthy members of our society. How much more can our country endure? Listen, rate, comment, and follow on Apple podcast and Spotify.

I don't know about you but I'm of the generation where calling someone “stupid” resulted in varying levels of punishment. In my house the word was tantamount to the F-bomb. Funny how it seems lately that everyone is pointing fingers and calling other people just that. But is it really stupidity? Or is it ignorance? Truth is, in many cases it's the latter. How do you figure that out and what does that have to do with dog behavior?Good questions. Listen to this episode. In a world where what passes for radical honesty usually means someone is just letting things fly outta their pie-hole without much care for others, it's time for radically authentic conversation. Conscious communication is simple, but often isn't easy. That's why Cathy Brooks created Talk, Unleashed – a weekly podcast of radically honest conversation about — everything. Whether her own musings or in conversation with industry leaders, each episode invites curiosity. Curiosity not about what people do, but why they do it. Who they are and what makes them tick. It's about digging underneath to reveal the thing that is most true - that we are more alike than we are not. A mix of solo episodes where Cathy shares her insights and experience or Cathy engaged in conversation with fascinating humans doing amazing things. No matter the format - it's unvarnished, radically honest and entirely unleashed. This podcast compliments Unleashed Leadership, the coaching business through which Cathy works with symphony orchestras, corporate clients, and individuals to help them unleash and untether their leadership and connect with others in a way that truly engages.#dontbestupid #ignorance #dogbehavior #baddogbehavior #dogtraining #shiftingbehavior #brutalhonesty #radicalhonesty #consciouscommunication #leadership #Conversation #connection #TalkUnleashed #fiercecompassion #UnleashedConversation #UnleashedLeadership #FixYourEndofTheLeash

Today on Mea Culpa, I'm joined by Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson for a scathing conversation on the cruelty, chaos, and corruption driving Trump's America. Rick is a political strategist, writer, speaker, and commentator, best known for his cutting political ads and no-nonsense takes. From the devastating floods in Texas, made worse by MAGA-led budget cuts, to the GOP's obsession with Trump's “Big, Beautiful Bill,” we expose how ideology has replaced governance. We also break down the collapse of the Trump–Musk alliance, the rise of spectacle politics, and whether a third party could ever challenge America's broken two-party system. Myth and Identity in the Martial Arts: Creating the Dragon (Lexington Books, 2025) is a study of the role of myth and ideology in the formation of social identity, focusing on a variety of communities of practice involving the martial arts in East Asian and Western history. Alexus McLeod argues that myths of the martial arts should not be understood as “falsehoods” created as means of legitimizing modern practices, but should instead be understood as narratives that enable individuals and communities to formulate social identities and to accord meaning to their practices. This book covers six influential sources of myth and identity formation in the history of martial arts: early Chinese and Indian philosophy, the formation bushido thought in the Edo period of Japan, Republican-era Chinese conceptions of nationhood and physical culture, Western contributions and the innovations of Bruce Lee, African American conceptions of martial arts as a response to oppression in the twentieth century, and the contemporary ideologies of mixed martial arts. On doing philosophy with non-textual sources, see Alexus McLeod, An Introduction to Mesoamerican Philosophy. On violence as the preferred weapon of the stupid (so they can avoid doing any interpretative labour), see David Graeber, The Utopia of Rules: On Technology, Stupidity, and the Secret Joys of Bureaucracy. What if the biggest existential threat of our time isn't artificial intelligence – but the people programming it?In this urgent and mind-expanding Crisis What Crisis special, host Andy Coulson is joined by the inimitable Mo Gawdat– former Google X Chief Business Officer, global bestselling author, and one of the most vital thinkers at the intersection of tech and humanity.Mo returns with a stark warning: self-evolving AI is here, and it's learning faster than we can comprehend. His latest project ALIVE – co-written with an AI persona called Trixie and shaped by a growing community – is not just a book, but a collaborative manifesto for surviving (and shaping) the age of artificial intelligence. It asks: what does it mean to be human when machines outthink us? And how do we instil compassion, not catastrophe, into their code? From the “intelligence explosion” already underway to the moral vacuum that could define our AI future, Mo doesn't just lay out the risks – he offers a radically hopeful vision. One where the machines we build might save us, but only if we first face our own flaws. This isn't a conversation about technology. It's a call to raise AI like a child – with wisdom, boundaries, and love – before it decides to raise us.LESSONS YOU'LL LEARNTrusting intelligence: Superior AI could choose preservation over power – but only if it's guided by moral clarity.Raising Superman: AI is the alien infant. Will we raise it into a hero… or a villain?Crisis as mirror: The real threat isn't AI – it's our own accelerating stupidity, greed, and ego.The coming handover: Within years, machines may take over critical decisions. The question is – will that be our downfall or our salvation?Prepare for the singularity: Not science fiction, but a moral fork in the road just 24 months away.----Host: Andy CoulsonCWC Team: Jane Sankey, Hana Walker-Brown, Mabel Pickering, and Rex FisherSpecial thanks to Ioana Barbu and the brilliant people at GlobalFor PR and guest approaches: podcast@coulsonpartners.com

Today on Mea Culpa, I welcome back John Dean, former White House counsel to President Nixon during Watergate, to break down the constitutional crisis unfolding as Trump defies judicial orders, expands executive power, and monetizes the presidency. Dean brings a unique perspective, having witnessed Nixon's cover-up firsthand before testifying against him. From the court ruling against Trump's misuse of emergency tariffs to new threats against Harvard and ICE deportations under the Alien Enemies Act, Dean and I trace the parallels between Watergate and today's brazen attacks on checks and balances. We also unpack Project 2025, Trump's shadow government-in-waiting, and why the next showdown between the judiciary and the presidency could decide the fate of American democracy. Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu. In this special live episode, I'm joined by my incredible co-host (and wife), Lisa Bilyeu, for a deep-dive on the intersection of politics, world affairs, and what's really threatening democracy today. We tackle some heavy news—like Biden's shock cancer announcement and the implications of Bernie Sanders admitting Democrats can be a threat to democracy. Of course, with Lisa in the studio, we also bring an unfiltered relationship lens to these societal issues, exploring why humans double down on dogma, how our childhood shapes genius, and if wisdom can ever outrun calcified beliefs. Plus, we get personal on the abuse of power, MeToo fallout, female agency, and where the law should (or shouldn't) intervene in manipulative relationships. SHOWNOTES 00:00 – Lisa joins Tom for a live hybrid show: politics, world affairs, and relationships 01:54 – NIH controversy: Covid origins, Wuhan, and walking out on tough truths 04:31 – The tragic story of Ignaz Semmelweis & the problem with “experts” 15:05 – Why social innovation often falls on the young 24:00 – Deep dive preview: Jekyll Island and conspiracy vs. incompetence 30:07 – Weinstein, Diddy, MeToo, and navigating moral nuance 34:31 – Abuse, power, and the line between legality and morality 1:07:00 – Why parental bias clouds judgment—and why you must think clearly 1:14:00 – Incentives, compassion, and the "final boss" of human nature 1:17:06 – New show format: how to engage deeper and where to watch live FOLLOW GUEST (Lisa Bilyeu): Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisabilyeu/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/lisabilyeu Website: https://www.lisabilyeu.com/ CHECK OUT OUR SPONSORS Vital Proteins: Get 20% off by going to https://www.vitalproteins.com and entering promo code IMPACT at check out Monarch Money: Use code THEORY at https://monarchmoney.com for 50% off your first year!
