Hey, family. It's been a minute, I know. So if you have a moment to get cozy, I have some life updates I'm excited to share with you. This finale episode is part reflection, part love letter, part sacred pause. I'm sharing why the mic went quiet after February, what's been stirring beneath the surface, and how life rerouted me into a space I didn't plan for—but deeply needed. This isn't a goodbye, but an evolution. In this final episode of the season, I'm opening up about what it's meant to release the identity of “Steph R. Long” and step into the wholeness of Stevie Reneé. I'm sharing how YouTube became my new sacred container—and why it now feels like the most aligned expression of my voice, presence, and purpose. If you've ever found resonance in this space, if something I've said helped you feel more seen, held, or grounded, then I'd love for you to continue the journey with me over on YouTube: youtube.com/@steviereneewithinThere, you'll find: • Vibe Checks — honest reflections on healing, grief, growth, and spiritual truth • Guided Resets — somatic meditations and breath practices to regulate and return • Channeled Messages — intuitive transmissions to support your path And sometimes I share moon rituals, Ayurveda insights, ancestral wisdom, and more. This space isn't ending. It's just moving to a place where I can show up more fully, visually, and truthfully. We're closing this season with a few gentle, grounding reflection prompts, especially for those of you in a season of redirection. Because sometimes the plan isn't the path. And sometimes, what feels like a pause is actually a sacred recalibration.Reflection prompts from this episode: • What is closing in your life—not because you failed, but because you've outgrown it? • Where is Spirit whispering (or shouting) that it's time to move differently? • What identity are you being invited to shed? • What would it feel like to trust your unfolding, even without a clear plan?If this lands for you, take a moment to breathe into it. Journal if you feel called. Let it stir what needs to stir. And know this: wherever you are on your journey is where you're meant to be. Trust in that.I'll see you next season, on whatever medium it takes shape.Support the showHosted by Stevie Reneé (aka Steph R. Dr. Bill Ahearn joins me in Session 299 of Behavioral Observation. I met Bill a few times at conferences and I'm so glad we finally had a chance to sit down and record a podcast together. Bill is the Director of Research at The New England Center for Children. Long time listeners may recall that NECC sponsored a series of episodes, and in this podcast, we talked about some of the great research that has come out of that storied institution. As an aside, if you want to learn more about NECC, particularly working at NECC, you can find more information about that here. We covered a lot of ground in this conversation, including: Bill's early experiences as a grad student and clinician. His early work in addressing feeding problems. The research that he and his colleagues have conducted at NECC. How he construes stereotypic and self-injurious behavior as being forms of repetitive behavior. What he's learned about addressing stereotypy, including when and when not to intervene. We talk at length about Response Interruption and Redirection, particularly when it is and isn't necessary as an intervention. The behavioral interpretation of anxiety, and interventions that he and his team have brought to bear on related repertoires. I ask a few lighter questions on some topics of mutual interest (you'll have to listen towards the end to hear that). If you listen to nothing else from this podcast, towards the end of the show, Bill talks about why he is proud to be a Behavior Analyst. Please listen to that segment, as I think he makes some excellent points that are more than worth sharing. We also talked about tons of papers. I've done my best to track as many down as possible. Ownership Mindset: Taking Full Responsibility for Your Growth challenges listeners to shift from blame to ownership—because real growth begins when excuses end. In this episode, we unpack what it means to take full responsibility for your progress, leadership, and life direction.Through the incredible story of Inky Johnson—who was eight games away from the NFL before a life-altering injury paralyzed his right arm—we explore how radical ownership isn't about pretending life is fair, but about choosing how to respond when it isn't. Inky's mindset, summed up in his words “Redirection, pain, setbacks, shortcomings, highs, lows—they are all part of the process of success. Embrace it, respect it, and trust it” becomes the foundation for a deeper call to lead ourselves well. The episode concludes with practical ways to implement the ownership mindset in everyday life, reminding us that the power to change lies in the willingness to own what's ours. This episode will speak to anyone feeling stuck, frustrated, or ready to step into the next level of their leadership journey. Thank you for joining us on this insightful journey! In Acts chapter 9, Saul experienced a radical conversion after encountering Jesus Christ. What is just as amazing is the radical redirection his life immediately took. Too often today, we can look at such a story and think that our story is 'not as good,' and consider ourselves less effective or useful for ministry. But the reality is that our stories are all the same, though the details are different, and the results should always glorify God. Cody King | Acts of the Church www.stonepointchurch.com

In this solo episode, Yvonne gives you a rundown of all the stuff that's been happening in her life and how it relates to manifestation. This episode has a lot on rejection and redirection and the importance of not being jealous of other people. It contains some great real-world examples of how being consistent, having faith in the process and not fretting about when and how things will happen ensures that what you are manifesting actually happens and does so in the best way for you. Yvonne also has an exciting WellFest 2025 announcement. KEY TAKEAWAYS Pay attention to what the universe is telling you. When Yvonne kept seeing the numbers 7 and 4 she knew she was on the right track and that Matt Cooke would accept her invitation to be on her podcast. Often what you are manifesting will happen in a different way and be better than you could have imagined. Yvonne shares a fantastic example of this. When someone says no to something, don´t take it personally - know that something better is coming along. Keep your vibration high and stay positive. The universe will throw you challenges, but on the other side is something better than you can ever imagine. Just keep going. Doubts will creep in, that´s normal. Don´t let your brain focus on them and go round and round in circles. Jealousy and envy ruin your high vibe. Whatever someone else gets has zero relevance to your life. Take joy in seeing others achieve, even when they are achieving what you want. Maintaining that high vibration ensures you are next. BEST MOMENTS “Rejection is redirection.” “You don’t know how it’s going to happen.” “If you are going through a tough time… with somebody else getting what you want, remember the phrase “Get it girl. Love that for you. Me next.”” “You have to stay on that vibrational frequency of high vibes.” “If you start raising the vibe and your frequency is going up, everything will work out even better than you could have ever expected.” “Don´t let the ego get in the way.” “When somebody else gets something that you want, remember number one, there is space for everyone.” EPISODE RESOURCES https://www.wellfest.ie VALUABLE RESOURCES website: pausepenny.com Instagram: @yvonnetchrakian_manifest @pause.penny LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yvonne-tchrakian-64257619/ HOST BIO Yvonne started her career as a corporate lawyer for one of Ireland's top law firms. Claire de Mézerville López welcomes back Kendall Hughes, D.Min., to the Restorative Works! Podcast. Join us as Dr. Hughes shares moving stories—from a group of teens who made amends after a traumatic act of vandalism, to incarcerated men working through shame and accountability in a high-security penitentiary. These stories highlight the power of restoring dignity and finding healing through meaningful change. Reflecting on his rich learning journey, Dr. Hughes draws from Indigenous teachings, global traditions, and interfaith wisdom. His commitment to continued education and cultural responsiveness showcases why lifelong learning is essential for restorative facilitators. Whether it's through role-playing in training sessions or learning from Ojibwe, Navajo, Somali, and Liberian communities, Hughes emphasizes the importance of humility and curiosity in this work. Dr. Hughes has extensive experience starting and leading restorative programs in the Federal Bureau of Prisons and for the state of Minnesota Office of Restorative Practices. He began his career in a nonprofit, learning from leaders in lower income communities as they built affordable housing, places of worship, and schools. He spent two decades as a chaplain in federal prisons. Working with incarcerated men, he developed an18-month residential program offering skill building, encouraging relationships, and opportunities for transformative dialogues with survivors of violent crimes and men who had caused deep harm. In 2019, Dr. Hughes co-founded Three Rivers Restorative Justice, focusing on pre-charge restorative conferences and training facilitators. He has served on the Third Judicial District's Committee on Equity and Justice as well as the Dodge and Olmsted County Corrections Taskforce. While earning his Doctorate of Ministry, he wrote a thesis on how chaplains in the Bureau of Prisons can reduce recidivism. Tune in to learn more from Dr. Hughes and to explore how dignity-centered approaches create space for social and personal transformation.
You've felt it. The quiet ache in your chest when it is time to go to work. The sense that your gifts are being wasted. The growing discomfort that whispers, this isn't it anymore. But what now? What do you actually do when you're spiritually waking up… but your career hasn't caught up yet?In this honest and heart-forward episode, we're peeling back the curtain on what this transition really looks like. Because it's easy to see people online living their soul-aligned dream lives—but what you don't see are the years of bridge jobs, identity deaths, side gigs, and subtle energetic shifts that got them there. If you're in a job that feels misaligned but don't know what's next, this conversation will land like right where it's meant to. We talk about: The energetic purpose of misalignment and why it's part of your awakening How to shift your reality without needing a perfectly mapped-out plan Our real-life stories of navigating the in-between (including the messy moments and unexpected pivots)How we manifested our side gigs while building our aligned businesses What bridge jobs are, how to find them, and how they support the bigger vision The frequency work you can start doing now to open the portal to something new And why focusing on what is working now creates a stronger magnetic field for what's to comeThis episode will leave you feeling validated, empowered, and clear on how to take your first steps—no matter how small they feel.Because the truth is: you're not lost. You're just in the sacred space between who you were and who you're becoming. And that space holds MAGIC, if you know how to listen.⤵️
Justin and Kylie respond to a heartfelt question from a mum who’s at her wit’s end with her highly creative—but very destructive—three-year-old. From nail polish on couches to crayon art on every surface, they explore what’s developmentally normal, why punishment may backfire, and how parents can redirect energy with connection, supervision, and playful problem-solving. KEY POINTS: Destructive behaviour in young children is often a sign of creativity and a desire to explore. Supervision and engagement are key to reducing mischief. Each child is different; parenting approaches should adapt to each child’s needs and the family’s season of life. Redirection and empathy are more effective than blame and punishment. Quality time and creating opportunities for appropriate creative expression can help children feel seen and understood. QUOTE OF THE EPISODE:“Kids don’t lie the way adults do—they tell us what they wish the truth was.” KEY INSIGHTS FOR PARENTS: Your child is not bad. They’re curious, creative, and still learning. Meet big messes with calm, not shame. Use redirection to teach without damaging trust. Invite cooperation by focusing on problem-solving together rather than punishment. Blaming doesn’t teach responsibility—connection does. RESOURCES MENTIONED: I’ll Do Better Tomorrow, I Promise by Maurine Reynolds Adamek “Lessons Learned” Substack by Beck Delahoy—Blame and Shame Doesn’t Solve Anything ACTION STEPS FOR PARENTS: Create safe, designated spaces for creative play—paper, washable markers, etc. Increase supervision during high-risk moments (e.g., when things go quiet!). Spend intentional quality time daily, even in short bursts. Use imaginative redirection—like the “wicked mouse” approach—to encourage responsibility without shame. Clean up with your child, not as punishment, but as a shared problem-solving opportunity. Reflect on whether expectations are realistic for your child’s developmental stage. Duarte (Insper), Steven Medema (Duke University), Marianne Johnson (University of Wisconsin Oshkosh) Host and Producer: Maria Bach (Centre Walras-Pareto, University of Lausanne) Based on almost 2 years of interviews with current and former PhD students, supervisors along with lots and lots of conversations on supervision, I offer you a series of episodes on supervision. In the first episode, I explore a series of critical "don'ts" that both PhD students and their supervisors should be aware of to ensure a healthier, more productive PhD journey. In the following episode, I offer lots of solutions or rather the dos of supervision. This episode covers all the cases where it's not clear what the best solution is, or the solution is rather different depending on context: I am calling them the in-betweens. In a fourth episode I will be talking to a sort of PhD coach, who has lots of experience with supervising and thinking about supervision. A final short episode will offer us a list of 10 key things that supervisors and PhD students need – the 10 commandments of supervision, if you will. That's why I'm so grateful to have *Dr. Greg Jones*, president of Belmont University, on the podcast today to talk about helping our kids prepare for life beyond high school with purpose, faith, and community at the center. Here are four key takeaways from this episode:—Choosing a school isn't about prestige—it's about finding a place where your child can grow, thrive, and live out their calling. —Relationships formed during the college years play a vital role in shaping a student's identity and faith. —Not getting into a dream school isn't the end—it can be a redirection toward God's best. —Each child's path is unique, and our job is to guide them with patience, grace, and a big-picture mindset. Dr. Greg Jones is the president of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. With a background in theology, leadership, and education, Dr. Jones is passionate about helping students discover their God-given purpose and equipping families to think beyond rankings and toward flourishing futures. This episode is full of wisdom for parents at every stage. Whether college is around the corner or years away, I hope it encourages you to guide your kids with faith and intentionality. With love,Steph Thurling(02:56) The Role of Community in College Selection(06:04) Finding Purpose and Character Formation(08:45) Navigating College Decisions and Parental Guidance(11:58) The Importance of Relationships in College(14:46) Helping Kids Discover Their Purpose(18:08) Trends in College Students Today(20:51) Dealing with Rejection and Redirection(23:56) The Long View of Parenting(27:11) Final Thoughts on Faith, Hope, and LoveResources MentionedSubscribe to Christian ParentingEaster BundleAdventure BibleThe Christian Parenting Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. 20 minutes. One microphone. And the truth I've never shared—until now. In this week's solo episode of Surviving Roots, I'm speaking words out loud that I've only ever carried in silence. The story of estrangement from my mother. The text I never thought I'd get. The moment I realized rejection wasn't about me—it was the door to peace. When a parent can't love you… it can either bury you or build you. This is the episode that's still healing me as I speak it.

Jose brings in an inspiring Denzel Washington quote: “If you hang around the barbers long enough, you're going to get a haircut”, illustrating how immersing yourself in the right environment leads to growth and opportunity. The trio encourages listeners to reframe rejection as a stepping stone rather than a roadblock. When we hide our rejections, we become small. When we talk about them, the rejections become small. Today's special guest is Dr. Sasha Shillcutt, a trailblazer in both medicine and women's empowerment. Dr. Shillcutt is a cardiac anesthesiologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and the founder and CEO of Brave Enough, a community dedicated to empowering women. Along with being a researcher, speaker, author, wife, and mom of four, Dr. Shillcutt is an advocate for gender equity and making space for women in leadership roles. This conversation is a must-listen for anyone who's faced rejection and wants to turn it into an opportunity for growth and redirection. Being rejected can propel you forward, if you choose to step out of shame, and instead learn to stand tall, embrace your journey, and keep moving forward with optimism. If you want to live a big and meaningful life, you will experience a lot of rejection. Rejection happens when you put yourself out there. When you stand out, you get cut down more often. When you get cut down as “Tall Poppy”, you can grow back taller and stronger, but it takes self-compassion, mindfulness, patience, and support. Rejection doesn't usually reflect our abilities or our work; we can be the best, and still face setbacks, not get a role, or have a marriage fail. Rejection is often not about you. It is also about fit, timing, and other people. It often means: "Not Yet, Not Here, or Not Now.” It can be a signal to course-correct and move toward something that aligns better with your true purpose. When we can learn to embrace rejection with curiosity, rather than internalizing it as a judgment of our worth, it can become a catalyst for growth and a life well-lived. High-achieving women often face criticism, resentment, and rejection. The more accomplished you are, the more likely you will be to face aggression and/or rejection, from those in positions of seniority and/or from your peers. If you want a kind and supportive community to help you navigate the world as a Tall Poppy, join Ongoing Presence Small Group Coaching. You can join the spring 2025 cohort until February 25th. Pause & Presence Retreats are also a beautiful nourishing space to turn your past rejections into growth experiences. You will acquire all the tools you need to turn them into catalytic events and launching points for a more aligned, meaningful, and joy-filled life. Join Jessie and Sasha at the Brave Enough Conference in September. Jessie will be leading a mentorship group, offering coaching, and teaching yoga and mindfulness. Connect with Dr. Shillcutt at becomebraveenough.com and/or follow her on Instagram for more inspiration and empowerment. *Nothing shared in the Mindful Healers Podcast is medical advice. #physicianwellness #mindfulnesscoach #pauseandpresence #physiciancoach

Do you feel sidelined? If so, you are not abandoned. In today's chapter, we step behind enemy lines with the Philistines as they prepare for battle. David, however, finds himself shut out—rejected from joining their ranks. Let's see how he responds in 1 Samuel 29:10-11: "Now then rise early in the morning with the servants of your lord who came with you, and start early in the morning, and depart as soon as you have light.” So David set out with his men early in the morning to return to the land of the Philistines. But the Philistines went up to Jezreel. — 1 Samuel 29:10-11 David, the anointed future king of Israel, is dismissed from the battlefield. Despite all his efforts to live among the Philistines, they deemed him too risky to bring along. So, at dawn, David and his men pack up and leave while the Philistine army marches to war. Here's the remarkable part: David doesn't argue, retaliate, or force his way in. He doesn't fight a battle that isn't his to fight. Instead, he humbly accepts the directive and departs. David's response is a masterclass in trusting God. He could have reacted in frustration or tried to force his plans forward. But instead, David chose to trust God's timing. What looked like rejection was divine redirection. We've all faced moments like this—doors close, plans fall apart, and we're left asking, “Why, Lord?” But often, these are God's ways of keeping us from battles we were never meant to fight. Being sidelined doesn't mean being abandoned. Sometimes, being sidelined is actually your salvation. How many times in your life has this been true? Maybe you were passed over for a promotion, only to realize later it would've led to burnout. Perhaps a dating relationship ended, making way for someone more aligned with God's purpose for you. Or maybe a financial opportunity fell through, saving you from overwhelming debt. If David had joined the Philistines in battle, it might have disrupted the events leading to his ascent to the throne. God wasn't sidelining David—He was saving him and declaring that his season of suffering under Saul was over. His time to reign had come. In the same way, trust God's plan when you feel stuck on the sidelines. Your moment is coming—God is preparing you for something greater. #GodsTiming #DivineRedirection #LeadWithFaith Ask This: Are you fighting a battle God may ask you to step away from and trust His more fantastic plan? How can you view closed doors as God's protection or preparation for something better? Do This: Have faith in the Lord. Pray This: Lord, help me trust Your timing when doors close and plans change. Teach me to see Your redirection as a path to something greater. Amen. Play This: Stand In Faith.

You may never fly again. False information generates risks, both in flight control systems and voting machines. People are going to go to jail for what's coming. Trump should remove all Lockheed, Benchmark and Honeywell Intertia Reference Systems. Rip them out. Reviewing famous airplane accidents. Were IRU's, Flight Management System (FMS), gyroscopes and accelerometers involved? AI does it all now. The brain circuitry that flies an aircraft. Pilots cannot bypass IRU's. Freedom pilots are used for a little footprint and big findings. Preloaded problems from the start. Spoofing false signals is risky too. The biggest threats are during manufacture. Corporate will blame the pilots and not the system. The same concerns are magnified with missiles. Redirection or failure is a planned option. Accurate real time info is crucial. Deadly issues come from compromise. Factory security is critical too. No black site production and secure manufacturing processes only. Keep it tight. Minor data spoofing can marginalize everything, including flight paths and targets. So much has happened in North Dakota. The long ten year fight is finally paying off.
