Show notes provided by Joe PelusoIn the fall of 1941 a unique superhero was born to the nascent comic book industry. The creation of William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peters, and bowing in All Star Comics # 8 (cover dated January 1942), Princess Diana, the Amazing Amazon from Paradise Island, burst upon a world at war as--WONDER WOMAN! Armed with the powers of the Greek Gods, and the awesome capacity to win the day with love andcompassion, Wonder Woman was an instant hit with four color readers.By 1943, the Amazon Princess was appearing regularly in "Sensation Comics", "Wonder Woman", and "Comic Cavalcade".Wonder Woman was going toe to toe with the big boys on the block--Superman, Batman and Captain Marvel! And when almost all the heroes fell into obscurity bythe early 1950's, Wonder Woman kept pace with only two other survivors--The Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Detective. In the following decades, Wonder Woman's star would shine and dim. Its orbit caught in the vagaries of current tastes and trends. But there came a time when one legend was due to meet head on with another; a living legend of the comic book industry who had previously made his mark on such books as "The New Teen Titans", "The Fantastic Four", and "The Avengers". Following the universe reshuffling DCComics event-"Crisis on Infinite Earths", Princess Diana and George Perez met and began a tenure on one of the most historic comic book runs in history! Please join James and Joe as "The Secret Origins of Mint Condition" finally pays tribute to this seminal hero and the creative genius who redefined her for a new age! Greek Mythology, magic, epic battles, customs and language barriers, new friends found, and the bonds of love and devotion that survive and conquer hate and war, are all ongraphic display by master storyteller--George Perez. We hope that this podcast will inspire you to read (or reread)this magnificent comic book run so that you may discover howfriendship, courage and devotion can overcome the most bleak times. Diana and George have given us the blueprint.

RHLSTP #610 - Cake in a Graveyard - Richard is excited about the breaking news (at time of recording). Broken years ago by this podcast and treats the audience to his poem about the disgraced Randrew Andrew. His guest is a woman with a life that feels like it has been moulded by Greek Gods fighting with a genie, the very open and frank and incredible Jameela Jamil. And she is not alone. She brings two further guests, one of whom has been vomiting blood. All in a day's normalcy for Jameela. They discuss he brilliant podcast Wrong Moves with Jameela Jamil, kicking a stunt man in the dick, running into a force field with a cake, the bee-based car accident that nearly killed her, but led to the best year of her life (she claims), the lies she's told to get jobs and the incredible and unbelievable truths that have accompanied her on her journey, how a school bully led to her becoming an actor (but long after they'd left school), her imminent 40th birthday, how our respective gigs for Elton John went, an incredible story about paying for someone's IVF that should completely be a sitcom and how Richard might just be a peripheral side character in the simulation that is Jameela's impossible life. This is up there with Brian Blessed, but I think this time, it's all true.Listen to Jameela's podcast Wrong Turns here (or wherever you get your podcasts) - https://open.spotify.com/show/48QtcFDDyQzKIc4B0fo4V7Listen to the full unredacted Sofie Hagen episode here (Randrew Andrew chat begins around 1:08:00) - https://open.spotify.com/episode/7rKIkLAmgEOtOrbpNJVZ6hCome and see RHLSTP live - http://richardherring.com/rhlstp. Treating your physical form with reverence unlocks spiritual power.Destroying your body in name of hustle is spiritual stupidity—direct correlation to greed, impatience, egotistical force. Building the Greek God physique took me over a decade. The hardest part is just thinking about the workout—once 45 minute timer starts, everything gets easier. I had some Oreos recently—it's all good, 80/20 balance. Christ said "what you put into your mouth will not defile you." Consistency is foundational pillar—add intensity, then volume. F1 sport cars: every nut, every bolt, grease where it needs to be. "I want never gets"—because what you want is energy of "I don't have it."Are you the sky or the clouds? The sky is awareness of thoughts. Is it the paint that's beautiful or the canvas underneath? Consciousness is the canvas. The body keeps the score.Listen if you're ready to honor the body as spirit's sacred instrument. God and I are one, and yet God's greater than I. "Thanks for everything, Herc. It's been a real slice." We're back talking about Disney animated features this week, and watched the 90s classic Hercules (1997). Released smack dab in the middle of the Disney Renaissance, it's a movie that is a gold mine for the theme of our show. A coming-of-age story about an outsider on his journey to twink to twunk, a sassy lady with a high ponytail, a big-chested Greek God daddy, and most importantly Hades as the bitchy old queen. No wonder it was easy for us as children to gravitate towards everything on screen going on here. Topics discussed are the Supermanification of the Greek Gods, its pitch-perfect voiceover cast, a deep dive on the Meg fashion doll, and McDonald's iconic plates. Asclepius is an S tier god here at the Styx and Bones podcast and we're diving into his wild myth and his sanctuary at Epidaurus. This myth basically was one where Zeus could have just talked to someone to sent an email to his son Apollo and his son Asclepius but it's Zeus being Zeus. Welcome back, Pixie Dusters! This week, your favorite hosts are leaving the Greek Gods behind and heading to a new mystical world with "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." In this case, both the book and movie are well done, with film changes only adding to the story rather than ruining the source material. In episode four of our Greek Pantheon series, we explore the gods of nature, the wild, and the cycles of life: Artemis, Demeter, and Poseidon. We dive into Artemis as the fierce protector of autonomy and boundaries, Demeter as the embodiment of grief, abundance, and seasonal cycles, and Poseidon as the ruler of emotional depth and the unseen forces beneath the surface. This conversation goes beyond mythology, unpacking how these deities reflect real human experiences, independence, loss, love, and emotional intensity. We also explore how to work with their energies in modern spiritual practice, from reconnecting with nature to honoring personal cycles and navigating deep emotional waves. If you've ever felt called to the wild, the seasons, or the ocean's depth, this one will resonate with you deeply.Order Molly's book Mundane Magic A Lazy Witch's Guide to Hacking Your Brain, Building a Daily Practice, and Getting Stuff DoneJoin our Patreon for bonus episodes, magical downloads, and unhinged side quests: https://www.patreon.com/demystifymagic

So much of what is happening these days seems utterly nonsensical, from Trump’s war crime and profanity-laced Easter rant, to the whipsaw on Iran. So, is it simply Occam’s razor, or is there more going on here than we’re led to believe? Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. — President Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom: A Call for the Emancipation of the Generous Energies of a People (1913) The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson — and I am not wholly excepting the Administration of W. W. The country is going through a repetition of Jackson’s fight with the Bank of the United States — only on a far bigger and broader basis. — President Franklin D. Roosevelt, letter to Col. Edward Mandell House (21 November 1933); as quoted in F.D.R.: His Personal Letters, 1928-1945, edited by Elliott Roosevelt (New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1950), pg. 373 I would suggest nothing we’re seeing, including (especially) the seemingly nonsensical, is ‘accidental’ or coincidental. It is PSYOP/PSWAR, a potent toxic mixture of POSIWID and chaos theory designed and intended to rapidly produce maximum chaos resulting in a ‘Clash of Civilizations‘ and The End of History and the Last Man, to ultimately bring about a ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum’1234 a la Genesis 11 → Genesis 6 → culminating in Psalm 2 → Revelation 19. Here’s What They’re Hiding. Headlines [x] = Mentioned / Discussed Trump: “A Whole Civilization with Die Tonight” If President Trump carries out his threat to kill the entire civilization of Iran, he will join the ranks of Cato the Elder, Genghis Khan, Cortez, and other villains in history who chose the policy of destroying an entire civilization. Needless to say, this is not what Washington, Madison, Adams, Jefferson, and Franklin had in mind when they founded the US Constitutional Republic. Members of the US government—as well as We the People—should think about the reflections of multiple Roman authors who regarded the total annihilation of Carthage as an outrage and repudiation of Rome's republican values and virtues. In the Aeneid, Virgil frames the Punic Wars as a fateful conflict initiated by the Punic Queen Dido’s curse on Aeneas’s descendants. I interpret this as Virgil's way of condemning the “unspeakable” destruction of Carthage. The American people should be aware of the fact that if our US government does indeed annihilate the Iranian nation forever, it will certainly have a vast array of terrible consequences for us and for all of mankind. Among other disasters, it is likely that millions of Iranians will be forced to flee to other lands, including those of Europe. Many young men who see their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters suffer will be animated with a burning desire for revenge. I anticipate great horrors ahead for all of us. What if the stories of the Greek gods weren't mythology… but memories of a lost advanced civilization? In this mind-expanding episode, Lisa Schermerhorn and Honey Golden join the conversation to explore the deeper truths behind ancient history, hidden civilizations, and the awakening happening right now across the planet. They dive into the mysteries of Tartaria, mud floods, and star forts, uncovering the possibility that much of our true history has been hidden or rewritten. The discussion explores whether the so-called “gods” of ancient times were actually advanced beings with access to technologies and consciousness abilities we are only beginning to rediscover. From there, the conversation expands into quantum meditation, frequency healing, and consciousness awakening, connecting ancient knowledge with modern-day transformation. This is about more than history — it's about unlocking your own potential and stepping into a higher level of awareness. You'll also hear about upcoming opportunities to experience this work directly: Quantum Healing Sessions — Thursday, March 19 at 12pm & 4pm EST

Send a textAamer Janbey went from feeling constant anxiety, body dysmorphia & having less than $1,000 in his bank account to making over $200k/month, building a Greek God level physique, having a 4.0 GPA, and acheiving his dream life... at 22 years old. This transformation might shock you.It definitely shocked me... but left me with one burning question:How does someone achieve this level of transformation & success in such a short period of time... and at such a young age?So I had to dive deeper. After consuming hours of his content, speaking to him, and meeting a few out of the thousands of people he's helped, I learned that it mainly came down to one thing:Identity.Turns out Aamer has been studying philosophy, psychology & how identity works for years, making him able to quite literally hack into his own mind to make changing his life & making money as effortless as possible. He's helped thousands of people (including 7 & 8-figure entrepreneurs) rewire their identity to achieve success they never thought was possible...And in this podcast, we dived DEEP into his story and EXACTLY how he does it so you can do the same. You'll enjoy this one.Find Aamer here: https://www.instagram.com/aamerjanbey...Follow my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realsamg/?h...Don't forget to subscribe.Support the show

Greek Gods | Paranormal Podcast In this Greek gods episode timed with the Winter Olympics, we explore the fascinating world of Greek mythology starting with the origin story of the three most powerful gods—Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades—who were born to the Titan Cronus and his wife Rhea during the Golden Age, though Cronus attempted to eat all his children after a prophecy warned he'd be overthrown by his sons, leading Zeus to eventually free his brothers and defeat their father. We discuss the 12 great Olympians including Zeus (the serial cheater who ruled the sky), Hera (his perpetually angry sister-wife and goddess of marriage), Athena (the brilliant goddess of wisdom who burst fully formed from Zeus's head), Dionysus (the fun-loving god of wine and theater who was gestated in Zeus's thigh after his mother exploded), and several compelling minor gods like Hecate (goddess of magic and crossroads) and Pan (the half-goat satyr god of wilderness). We share captivating myths including Hades kidnapping Persephone with pomegranate seeds that created the seasons, Prometheus stealing fire for humanity and suffering eternal punishment, and the tragic tale of Arachne, who challenged Athena to a weaving contest with devastating consequences.

Send us a textThis time in the Magick Kitchen Podcast, Leandra Witchwood and Elyse Welles are joined by bestselling author and beloved witchcraft teacher Deborah Blake for a grounded, practical conversation on respectful, responsible deity work for witches and pagans.Together, they explore what changes when deity isn't “a box you visit,” but part of everyday life, and why cultural context matters when working with ancient pantheons in the modern world. Deborah shares how her upcoming book, Everyday Witch's Book of Deities (out in April and currently available for preorder), approaches deity work with both historical background and real-world practice. You'll also hear thoughtful discussion on syncretism (when gods and goddesses overlap across cultures), what “perfect love and perfect trust” can mean in lived experience, and how to start small if you think a deity may be reaching out, including the physical signs both hosts and Deborah notice in their own work.Find Deborah at deborahblakeauthor.comLoose-leaf Tea and Sacred Apothecary The Healing Our Feminine Wounding Immersive is a sacred retreat devoted to untangling inherited shame, silence, and survival patterns carried in the feminine body. After an ominous meeting with Thereus Aegir, leader of the Hexcloaks, Caoimhe Wake regroups with Brontë Adelvys and Antistrophe Landrace, fresh from their victorious Beachminton showdown in Seawalk. Caoimhe shares the ultimatum she received from Aegir: Find out whether the recent earthquakes are tied to Castine, Living Metal. Which raises the question: How does one go about investigating a member of the Ennead while he is surrounded by his most loyal followers? This week on Perpetua: A Roar Across Cenn 02 Perpetua Guide [In Progress v.05] NPCs & Monsters [PNMS] I've been waiting to put these in until we had stats, but I guess we just aren't getting those during the early acts. Jimmy Cone & Johnny Cakes [NMJJC] Traits: Arrogant, Ambitious, Competitive, Playful Stats: ??? Attacks: Ace Killer, Back to the Fundamentals, Big Little Bro Backhand, Big Little Bro Beachminton Bash, Classic Comeback Shot, Desperate Dexterous Swing, Dexterous Hit, Final Shot, Jimjam Slam, NORMAL OL' HIT, Patty-Cake Patty-Cake Baker's Lob, Rapid Fire Double Down Super Shot, Slippy Slappy Overhand, Signature Dexterous Hit, Veteran's Return Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Brotherly heirs to the Cenn City dessert empire. Sigh. I don't really get it. Why do they share a character profile page when they clearly have different stats? Why aren't their stats visible even after you beat them in Beachminton. Is their whole concept some sort of reference I don't get? I think this game is pretty funny, but every comedian has some bad jokes. Kley Kaina [NMKLA] Traits: Skeptical, Mysterious, Just, Vengeful Stats: ??? Attacks: ??? Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Caoimhe's childhood friend, a Poison Elf who has trained to be a doctor. Somewhere along the way, they developed strange allegiances. You know when you watch an anime and you go “I hope that side character gets a whole episode?” That's how I feel about Kley. What's their deal!? Why are they so pissed off about Caoimhe joining the Hexcloaks. And what “strange allegiances” do they have? Delani Kaina [NMDLK] Traits: Faithful, Brusque, Determined, Demanding Stats: ??? Attacks: ??? Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Kley Kaina's mother and a loyal follower of Castine. On a pilgrimage to Cenn. I wish she wasn't so mean to Kley, but I can't help but like her. It's funny that she has a big crush on Castine, it's sort of like being in love with a Greek God, but I guess that happened in myths too so why not in a game? Thereus Aegir [NMTHA] Traits: ??? Stats: ??? Attacks: ??? Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Leader of the Hexcloaks. “Leader of the Hexcloaks.” That's it!? You couldn't even say “Cruel leader of the Hexcloaks” or “Mysterious leader of the Hexcloaks?” Not saying more makes him even MORE mysterious. And why are his TRAITS hidden? It's not like he's hiding being a jackass, he just is one! Athon, Castine's High Cleric [NMATH] Traits: Devoted, Strict, Punctual, Knowledgeable Stats: ??? Attacks: ??? Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Castine's chief attendant, responsible for the affairs of his Temple. Athon is sort of a mirror. If you choose all the hostile dialog options, he's a real prick back to you. If you choose all the more quiet, humble ones, he'll reflect respect back to you. I'm not sure it really matters if you piss this guy off or not, but if you don't want to get scolded, just be polite and patient. Castine, Living Metal [NMCLM] Traits: Curious, Mercurial, Empathetic, Caring Stats: ??? Attacks: ??? Spells: ??? In-Game Description: Second newest member of the Ennead. Connected to metal and physical damage. I have some guesses about what “second newest” member of the Ennead means, but that's it for now. Here's my big theory though: There's gotta be some connection between him and Scintero, since Scintero is “Living Bolt” and Castine is “Living Metal,” right? On this episode of Crazy Wisdom, host Stewart Alsop speaks with Michael Jagdeo, a headhunter and founder working with Exponent Labs and The Syndicate, about the cycles of money, power, and technology that shape our world. Their conversation touches on financial history through The Ascent of Money by Niall Ferguson and William Bagehot's The Money Market, the rise and fall of financial centers from London to New York and the new Texas Stock Exchange, the consolidation of industries and the theory of oligarchical collectivism, the role of AI as both tool and chaos agent, Bitcoin and “quantitative re-centralization,” the dynamics of exponential organizations, and the balance between collectivism and individualism. Jagdeo also shares recruiting philosophies rooted in stories like “stone soup,” frameworks like Yu-Kai Chou's Octalysis and the User Type Hexad, and book recommendations including Salim Ismail's Exponential Organizations and Arthur Koestler's The Act of Creation. Along the way they explore servant leadership, Price's Law, Linux and open source futures, religion as an operating system, and the cyclical nature of civilizations. You can learn more about Michael Jagdeo or reach out to him directly through Twitter or LinkedIn.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:05 Stewart Alsop introduces Michael Jagdeo, who shares his path from headhunting actuaries and IT talent into launching startups with Exponent Labs and The Syndicate.00:10 They connect recruiting to financial history, discussing actuaries, The Ascent of Money, and William Bagehot's The Money Market on the London money market and railways.00:15 The Rothschilds, institutional knowledge, and Corn Laws lead into questions about New York as a financial center and the quiet launch of the Texas Stock Exchange by Citadel and BlackRock.00:20 Capital power, George Soros vs. the Bank of England, chaos, paper clips, and Orwell's oligarchical collectivism frame industry consolidation, syndicates, and stone soup.00:25 They debate imperial conquest, bourgeoisie leisure, the decline of the middle class, AI as chaos agent, digital twins, Sarah Connor, Godzilla, and nuclear metaphors.00:30 Conversation turns to Bitcoin, “quantitative re-centralization,” Jack Bogle, index funds, Robinhood micro bailouts, and AI as both entropy and negative entropy.00:35 Jagdeo discusses Jim Keller, Tenstorrent, RISC-V, Nvidia CUDA, exponential organizations, Price's Law, bureaucracy, and servant leadership with the parable of stone soup.00:40 Recruiting as symbiosis, biophilia, trust, Judas, Wilhelm Reich, AI tools, Octalysis gamification, Jordan vs. triangle offense, and the role of laughter in persuasion emerge.00:45 They explore religion as operating systems, Greek gods, Comte's stages, Nietzsche, Jung, nostalgia, scientism, and Jordan Peterson's revival of tradition.00:50 The episode closes with Linux debates, Ubuntu, Framer laptops, PewDiePie, and Jagdeo's nod to Liminal Snake on epistemic centers and turning curses into blessings.Key InsightsOne of the central insights of the conversation is how financial history repeats through cycles of consolidation and power shifts. Michael Jagdeo draws on William Bagehot's The Money Market to explain how London became the hub of European finance, much like New York later did, and how the Texas Stock Exchange signals a possible southern resurgence of financial influence in America. The pattern of wealth moving with institutional shifts underscores how markets, capital, and politics remain intertwined.Jagdeo and Alsop emphasize that industries naturally oligarchize. Borrowing from Orwell's “oligarchical collectivism,” Jagdeo notes that whether in diamonds, food, or finance, consolidation emerges as economies of scale take over. This breeds syndicates and monopolies, often interpreted as conspiracies but really the predictable outcome of industrial maturation.Another powerful theme is the stone soup model of collaboration. Jagdeo applies this parable to recruiting, showing that no single individual can achieve large goals alone. By framing opportunities as shared ventures where each person adds their own ingredient, leaders can attract top talent while fostering genuine symbiosis.Technology, and particularly AI, is cast as both chaos agent and amplifier of human potential. The conversation likens AI to nuclear power—capable of great destruction or progress. From digital twins to Sarah Connor metaphors, they argue AI represents not just artificial intelligence but artificial knowledge and action, pushing humans to adapt quickly to its disruptive presence. The discussion of Bitcoin and digital currencies reframes decentralization as potentially another trap. Jagdeo provocatively calls Bitcoin “quantitative re-centralization,” suggesting that far from liberating individuals, digital currencies may accelerate neo-feudalism by creating new oligarchies and consolidating financial control in unexpected ways.Exponential organizations and the leverage of small teams emerge as another key point. Citing Price's Law, Jagdeo explains how fewer than a dozen highly capable individuals can now achieve billion-dollar valuations thanks to open source hardware, AI, and network effects. This trend redefines scale, making nimble collectives more powerful than bureaucratic giants. Finally, the episode highlights the cyclical nature of civilizations and belief systems. From Rome vs. Carthage to Greek gods shifting with societal needs, to Nietzsche's “God is dead” and Jung's view of recurring deaths of divinity, Jagdeo argues that religion, ideology, and operating systems reflect underlying incentives. Western nostalgia for past structures, whether political or religious, risks idolatry, while the real path forward may lie in new blends of individualism, collectivism, and adaptive tools like Linux and AI.

On this episode of The Align Podcast, Dr. Mike Mew dives into the science behind facial form and function, the missteps of conventional orthodontics, and how simple changes to oral posture and lifestyle could revolutionize how we think about health… from the face down.Dr. Mike Mew breaks down why crooked teeth, poor posture, and sleep apnea may stem from lifestyle, not genetics. He explains tongue posture, jaw development, and the rise of mewing as a powerful tool for health.OUR GUESTDr. Mike Mew is a British orthodontist, educator, and outspoken advocate for a radical rethinking of facial growth and modern health. Known as the leading voice behind the viral phenomenon "mewing," Dr. Mew is on a mission to uncover the root causes of crooked teeth, poor body posture, sleep apnea, ENT problem (otolaryngology) and a wide array of chronic health problems that stem from the way our faces grow — or fail to grow — in the modern world.500 years ago humans had excess space for 32 teeth but are now lucky to have space to fit 28, with wisdom teeth extraction becoming a right of passage, and premolar extractions all too common. The idea that this is genetic is on par with flat earthers. In the blink of an evolutionary eye, something very significant has occurred under our noses which we really don't want to face up to. Following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. John Mew, Mike has challenged long-standing assumptions in orthodontics, arguing that crooked teeth are not a genetic inevitability, but predominantly the result of environmental factors — particularly poor oral posture and lifestyle changes in the modern era. His work connects the dots between facial structure, breathing, jaw function, posture, and overall health, making him a unique and sometimes controversial figure in both medical and wellness communities.Despite professional backlash, Dr. Mew has persisted in his efforts to promote awareness, education, and a more holistic view of orthodontic care. His message resonated deeply with a global online audience, especially adolescents and young adults, sparking a cultural movement and renewed interest in early intervention and preventative care.DR MIKE MEW
