Kathleen is an English Professor at Schreiner University and so much more. She founded the Texas Heritage Music Foundation and is an author with three published books. She also produced a series for Texas Public Radio and won a Peabody Award for her work. She tells a story of inspiration on Episode 89 of the Kerrville Podcast.
Gunny Sergeant Ryan Pieraccini served 19 years in the US Military as a Combat Engineer, MP, Combat Instructor, Security Company Platoon, and Recruiter and spent his time after being honorably discharged helping and advocating for veterans. He passed away in November, 2020, when he was 47 due to a traumatic brain injury from his time on active duty. Gunny's Warriors was started by Gunny Sergeant Pieraccini's parents to provide education and assistance for those affected by Traumatic Brain Injuries and also help in research. He lived in a van down by the river when he first started and built his business into a multi-million dollar business with a lot of help from family and the great people that have worked for him over the years. Don was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2015 and is now semi-retired. His daughter, Lisa Roth, runs Tri County Roofing & Remodeling.
