A podcast set out to recap every episode of Littlest Pet Shop (2012). A "pet" project of mine for a while, I decided now I need to do this if I was ever going to. I'm doing this because this is a weird, but fun show that I enjoy, and I want to share my thoughts on it. Because it deserves to be talke…
Hello, and welcome to a little production update to my plans for a season 5. This is just a quick update on things to help clarify some things, and hopefully it does that. My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckenny LPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello, and welcome to the Littlest PetCast. Yeah, this episode was actually recorded a while ago, but I've been delaying uploading it. Partially because of real life stuff, but also because, well, this is it. In terms of this podcast's relationship to the show proper, this is the end. I go through my thoughts one last time in hopes of giving this show a good postmortem. Did I say everything I wanted to say? Maybe. Maybe not. But this is everything I'm going to say before I begin making my own personal season 5 to share with you. I'm not going to ask any more questions. I love you, and take care.
Hello, and welcome back to the final episode of Favorite Five, where we go over my favorite five episodes from the final season of the Littlest Pet Shop. While the show might not have ended on its own terms, they still produced some good episodes, and these, in my opinion, are the best.Is it possible to balance between what writers want and what the company wants? Should the show have tried more? How many times do I repeat myself about the episodes? Can style also be a reason to like an episode? Why can I not remember a simple phrase like "spead your wings"?
Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast: Favorite Five. In this episode, we look at my favorite five episodes of season 3, assuming I don't trip and fall over my own tongue.Do I still need to justify me using Netflix order for season 3? How good is the show when it leans into its weirdness? Is there a "plot"? Should I consider recording on days when I work? Is me being constantly confounded pennence for me doing it in one take last time?
Hello, and welcome to another Favorite Five episode of the Littlest PetCast. In this episode, we are looking at season two, and the five episodes I would reccomend the most out of this season. Now the the show has gotten into its groove, it's time to see how well it grooves. Do I just like fluffy content? How well does this show understand its characters? Can something be simple yet brilliant? Is it obvious which one is my favorite? How spot on are these names?
Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. In today's bonus episode, we start looking at my personal favorite episodes of the show. I go through each season and pick my favorite five episodes (hence the title) and share with you why. Today, we go over season one. Since it's the first season, it is still trying to get its footing, but these episodes prove that it landed solidly. How easy is it to bait me with romance? Does this show do female soliderity right? Did I let it slip which episode was close to being on my list? What happens when the creative team tries? Is an episode good if one section is demonstrably better than the other one?My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
It's been a while, but today on the Littlest PetCast, we are taking a look back at season 4. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. So join as I take a broad look into all of season 4 one last time.Is this show better than nothing? How many food metaphores can I make? What is too weird for this show? Did the length make up for the delay? Will I hold myself to making season 5?My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello, and welcome to this Bonus episode of the Littlest PetCast. In this episode, we decrescendo the music of LPS as we go over the songs of season 4, and thus the last of the songs. While season 4 might have the least amount of songs, I think the style carries it for the most part.Would you buy dog food for the whole family? What do you just think is neat? How much do I not like "The Tiniest Animal Store"? How does one advertize fashion? What is the style to substance ration for this season?
WARNING: PARENTAL ADVISORY! PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO HEAR SWEAR WORDS! So here we are. The final name game for the final season. With returning faces, as well as a few new. But the game remains the same. I tell them the names of my episodes, and they have to guess if it's about the episode, or if I'm on a weird tangent. Funtimes were had by all. As well as some weirding out.How often do people try to cheat at this game? Would Littlest Pet Shop fit in with the Seinfeld universe? Is opening a pizza place called "Big Caesars" a decidely uncool move? Do I know the most about Big Eyes amongst my group? Could I be good as a professional editor? My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello and welcome to the Littlest PetCast. I today's episode we are rounding things out by going over the final episode of Littlest Pet Shop, "Littlest Pet Street", with part one written by Guy Toubes, part 2 written by David Shayne, and both parts directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, to help with the grand opening of the Littlest Pet Street, Blythe thinks to get internet sensation Felina Meow. In doing so, they have to go to Bermuda. While on their way back, a storm happens, stranding them on a deserted island. Why is "It's The Pet Fest!" such a good point of comparisson for this episode? Is there a secret island in the Atlantic we don't know about? How come the Soul Eater ending gets a lot of flack? Did I say everything I need to? Why is this episode such a mixed bag?Thank you to everyone who has listened. My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?

Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. Before we end, I thought we should go back to the beginning with the episode "Blythe's Big Adventure", written by Julie McNally Cahil, and Tim Cahil, and directed by Joel Dickie. In this episode, Blythe and her dad move to Downtown City, Blythe discovers she can talk to pets, and through some inspiration and ingenuity, Blythe saves a failing pet shop.Is time a strange function in fictional universes? How complicated is Michael Jackson as a topic? Was I proven right about the window thing? Does this episode show how complicated creativity can be? Could this show have reached even greater heights if it were allowed to stand just a little longer? My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. In this episode, we go over the last regular episode of the show before the finale, "Seeing Red", written by Julie McNally-Cahil and Tim Cahill, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Penny wants to become tougher, and thinks a red panda by the name of Scarletta can make that happen for her. Meanwhile, Blythe is writing a story for a school contest about her parents. However, when Roger stumbles upon it, he thinks it's about her and she's going to run away with someone tonight. How boss is the sentence "Roger ate a salad in the dark"? Does Roger's behavior make sense? Did they confirm Blythe's mom is dead? Are my theories about Hasbro correct? Was this episode made out of recycled episode parts, or was it recycled into other episodes and then came about as a last hurrah? My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello, and welcome to the Littlest PetCast. In today's episode, we are looking at the episode "LPS: The MOOsical", written by F.M. DeMarco, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Blythe helps Mrs. Twombly reunite with her old singing quartet, The Four Songbirds, through video chat. However, the shop is taking care of a nervous moose, who sings when she's nervous. Her singing is interpreted as disruptive to most, but Blythe hears it as a charming melody because she's one-quarter Canadian. Still, it'll be a problem if the other Songbird hear it.Did I mess myself up with the Hammy/Amie thing? Would removing the hamster tubes spell disaster for Downtown City? Why can I not get over Kung-Fu Quilting? How does this episode make sense and still be weird beyond belief? Where would you move to to gain its land magic? My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
Hello and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. In today's episode, we look at the episode "Bake It 'til You Make It", written by David Shayne, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, a new sweets venue opens up, and Christie thinks she's done for. Blythe brings in her celebrity chef cousin, Bobby Destructo, to help. Meanwhile, Vinnie almost spills to Sunil's parents that Sunil isn't a doctor. In order to convince them that he is, Vinnie takes inspiration from one of his favorite shows, Dr. Abode MD, to make a video to show Dr. Nevla in action. How many good punches does this episode have? Can pets change batteries? Can casual racism stop any conversation in its tracks? How willing was I to play in this episode's headspace? Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. It has been a while. Today, we are going over the episode "Paint a Picture, It Lasts Longer" written by Nick Confalone, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Minka paints a picture, but doesn't like it. Blythe likes it and brings it to school. Minka asked her not to say it was her, but in doing so, she says she painted it herself. When the Biskits want their own version, things get even more complicate.Am I going to be able to finish season 4 in a timely manor? How should you space your montages? What did you make of this episode? Did I over-react about the giving away Francois line? Hello and Welcome to another episode of the Littlest PetCast. In today's episode, enjoy as I talk in circles about the episode "On The Same Page", written by Roger Eschbacher, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Blythe reads that her mom might have lost the ability to speak to animals, and is worried about the same thing happening to her. Meanwhile, the pets engage in a battle of the sexes, which quickly devolves into stubbornnes than anything. Why haven't you just watched Re-Kan! yet? How do high schools cast plays/musicals? Hello, and Welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. In today's episode, we look over the episode "Race Team: Buttercream", written by Guy Toube, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Roger thinks Blythe is using her phone too much, so he challenges her to not use it for a week. It feels wrong to write "OK Boomer" after that sentence, despite the fact that it's perfectly applicable, because it's about Roger, one of the least Boomer-ish adults I can think of. Anyway, Vinnie and Sunil head to the bunny races, and Buttercream comes along. But when she hears a bell, she switches to a speedy bunny by the name of Flash McCarrot to the surprise of Vinnie and Sunil. If you could talk to animals and want to not offend them, wouldn't you go vegan? How long has it been since we've seen Buttercream? Is it in character for Blythe to get caught up in something super hard? Do you have a reason as to why Buttercream has a split personality? Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. As I get back on the saddle, we go over the episode "It's a Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy World", with story by Julie McNally-Cahill, Tim Cahill, and Eric Rogers, teleplay by Eric Rogers, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steve Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Sunil is upset about everything. When a happy-go-lucky quokka named Peachy comes and tells him that happiness can be found in they city at the big smile, Sunil goes out to find happiness. Meanwhile, on a volunteer outing with Josh Sharp, Blythe loses her mom's journal, and with it her own happiness. What are your thoughts on artisnial graffiti? Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. In this episode, we go over the episode "A Doggie Biskit", written by David Shayne, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Eliza Biskits asks Blythe to help train her dog, and Zoe insists they do so. Meanwhile, Wiggles returns to LPS, and pushes the "knowledge" of a self-help book he really likes onto everyone, with Russell being the only one not to buy into it.Could Landingham have been an old district name of Hong Kong? Does Alice continuing to point out how weird everything is make sense now? Am I looking at the show in ways that the creators don't intend to while simultaneously ignoring what they want me to look at? Why is is that a New York/New Jersey accent is the mutt accent? She brings Sunil and Vinnie along, but of course, trouble brews. Meanwhile, a Zen Master grasshopper named Master Hop comes to LPS. Minka wants to learn the ways of Zen, but Master Hop is more intent of teaching Russell. Can you look past ignorant evils? What are Sunil's powers? How do sidekicks work? Hello, and welcome to the Littlest PetCast. In today's episode, we take a look at the episode "Two Peas in a Podcast", written by Roger Eschbacher, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Blythe is show to have a successful podcast. The Biskits want that success, but can't find it by being themselves. They get even more desprate when their father promises them more money. Meanwhile, Penny Ling explains that she is moving. Before she can tell them a crucial detail, the rest of the pets agree to do whatever Penny wants. Penny loves that and goes along with it, but knows that sooner or later she'll have to tell the truth. How many Roger moments does Blythe have that we don't see? Hello, and welcome back to the Littlest PetCast. We're down to the second half of the final season, and we start it off by going over the episode "Steamed", written by Nick Confalone, and directed by Joel Dickie, Steven Garcia, and Mike Myhre. In this episode, Mrs. Twombly is getting ready to open her latest addition to Littlest Pet Street: Pawrista's Coffee. However, she finds that she has less time than she first thought. Meanwhile, the matriarch of the Biskit household, Eliza, appears after not being there for the last three seasons of summer, fall, and winter. She acts like Mary Poppins and tells the twins to get jobs. How deeply could I talk about Madison as a character? Should I turn "We Stan Smart Airheads" into a hashtag? Meanwhile, Russell accidentally deleted the season finale of Duchess of Lancashire Lane, and needs to watch it before his meeting with other DOLL fans. Sunil offers to put it on with the pets, but they mistakenly grab a different episode and have to figure stuff out as they go.Does this episode have the most mentions of death per episode in this series? In the episode, Blythe accidentally causes the Biskits to get suspended from school. Meanwhile, Pepper broke Vinnie's lucky rock, and awaits punishment. Both of them feel guilty. With all the facts lined up, we can finally figure this out.Did Mr. Barish change subjects? Are characters acting in character? Hello and welcome to this episode of the Littlest PetCast. In this episode (which is slightly rambly at first Sorry), we look at the episode "Game of Groans", written by F.M. DeMarco, and directed by Joel Dickie and Steven Garcia. In it, Russell, Vinnie, and Sunil convince Blythe to take them to the Renaissance Fair. Blythe brings Youngmee along despite her fear of jester hats. Vinnie and Sunil are enticed by food, and Russell is enticed by adventure, but they find it'll be harder to get both than they thought. (Sorry I'm vague here, but the plot only kicks in over halfway through the episode.)Did season 4 do a soft reset? Who else is rooting for these kids? Is time nebulous in this universe? Do you like that this episode is more focused in both the episode itself and in setting up things? How much of the outside of the pet world will we see?My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?

Hello, and welcome to this one last look at season 3. We explore the mostly ups and few downs of the season, and see what we have learned. From the small stuff, to the grand ideas. How weird was season 3 in terms of recording? Do you get an emotional high off of an episode? What is the most frustrating aspect of "The Very Littlest Pet Shop"? Will I ever stop complaining about this show's lack of a timeline? Why is it that a not insignificant amount of the time, I like the human-centric stories in a show called "Littlest Pet Shop"?My Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyLPC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrlA?
So, I'm doing a few things now. I just thought I would inform you all.Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/vgckennyYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkw-i587zdImpnw1SYIkrl
Hello, and welcome to this bonus episode of the Littlest PetCast. Today we're doing to most editing intensive bonus episode for the season. That's right, we are going over the songs of season 3. I think this is the most coherent I've been talking about the songs. That might not be saying much though. What kind of pop are MIKA and Passion Pit? When you parody, do you take the high road? Are you prepared for mood whiplash? How does Blythe work like she's running out of time? Why am I not great at describing things I love?
Hello, and welcome to the second bonus for season 3. Today, we are looking at the shorts that aired before season 4. All shorts written by Julie McNall Cahill, and Tim Cahill. While we have half the amount of shorts, we spend almost just as much time discussing them. The shorts go from funny, to really funny, and then heartfelt at the end.Does winning "Most Unique Breed" count as winning a dog show? Are the Biskits written better than Lila from Miraculous Ladybug? How excellent are these punchlines? Could the last short be the end? How much do I like cheese?
WARNING: PARENTAL ADVISORY! PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO HEAR SWEAR WORDS! Another season, another round of the Name Game. A game in which I take two of my friends who haven't really seen the show or don't listen to my podcast to guess if the titles I come up with for the podcast reflect the craziness of the show, or if I'm going on a crazy tangent. Fun and confusion is sure to be had.Shout Factory, can you please sponsor me? What TV show should we recap next? Are people spying on you? Could Gian win in a fight aganist the CinemaSins guy? Does anyone like My Gym Partner's a Monkey?

Are the complications of translating animals actually like tribbles?
The world is a complicated place. Sometimes bad things happen. When that happens, we need to remember that we should help others. I just wanted to put this episode out because I am committed to putting out good vibes in the universe, and I feel determined to fight any way I can. Unfortunately, I can't do much to change the world, but I hope what I do can make people feel better.Consider Donating:Immigrant Defence Project-https://www.immigrantdefenseproject.org/donate/Help KyoAni-https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-kyoani-heal?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheetSave Mauna Kea-https://org.salsalabs.com/o/2699/donate_page/aloha-aina-support-fund?fbclid=IwAR0ZaxKYUsbsrH683uqjgBf_pXb5h0DQGJ7uq_6Q1rr1qz0r-xsUXpMohrE
