What does it really take to secure AI as it becomes part of the fabric of how we work? I had the chance to sit down with Sunil Agrawal, Chief Information Security Officer at Glean — and the company's first-ever CISO — to dive deep into this question.Sunil's perspective is clear: securing AI isn't about slapping on controls after deployment. It's about building secure AI by design — from prompt injection defense to real-time content protection and fine-grained governance. In our conversation, we covered a lot of ground:Why traditional security frameworks fall short for AI agentsHow Glean is preventing real-world attacks like jailbreaks and prompt injectionsWhy content awareness is key to managing sensitive data exposureWhat true visibility and control over agents looks like in the enterpriseWhy trust — not just compliance — is the new security currencyAnd how their new partnership with Palo Alto Networks is raising the bar on threat detection and posture managementWith over 100 million actions now executed by Glean's AI agents each year, it's no longer a hypothetical risk landscape — it's a live one.If you're responsible for security, IT, or AI strategy at your org, I highly recommend giving this interview a watch. It'll reshape how you think about governance, risk, and the future of work.Let me know what resonated with you — and if you're thinking differently about securing your AI initiatives after this.#data #ai #agents #GleanGo #theravitshow

This week on DisrupTV, we interviewed: - Christopher Lochhead, thirteen-time #1 bestselling Co-author, #1 charting business dialogue podcaster, co-creator of Category Pirates and best known as a "godfather" of Category Design - Sunil Karkera, Founder & Chief Engineer at Soul of the Machine Christopher Lochhead and Sunil Karkera explored how AI is reshaping the future of business. Lochhead warned of the “existing market trap”—a scenario where up to $13 trillion could be lost as AI vendors focus on optimizing legacy markets instead of inventing new ones. He urged companies to think like AI-native startups and embrace a bold “stop, change, start” strategy to drive meaningful transformation. Karkera introduced Soul of the Machine, a platform designed to compress the ideation-to-prototype process from months to hours. He emphasized that true innovation lies in blending AI with human creativity and design, paving the way for a new era of value creation. NL TeamThis week, host Sumedha Mittal is joined by The Caravan's Sunil Kashyap, and Jatinder Kaur Tur. Jatinder reports from Kashmir, where three bodies of locals who were in police detention surfaced in the Veshaw River. Following the Pahalgam terror attack, Kashmiris felt being suspected and criminalised. Amid rampant arrests and deaths, families like that of Nazir Ahmad Magray – whose 20-year-old son was taken in a night raid by the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operations Group – have been left shattered.“We are talking about three brothers [and one man] who went missing and there was no believable story from the police. It is said that they drowned in Veshaw river or naala, which was completely dry and no one could have drowned there,” says Jatinder. Meanwhile, Sunil's report uncovers an unseen, unheard truth from Bihar. At Bodh Gaya's Mahabodhi Mahavihara – a sacred Buddhist site – Buddhist monks and Dalit-Bahujan groups are protesting the Bodh Gaya Temple Act of 1949, which mandates Hindu involvement in managing the temple. This stems from centuries of Hindu appropriation of the site, despite its centrality to Buddhism. “The Hindu Sangh sees Buddhism, not Islam, as its biggest ideological challenge,” says Sunil. Mundartkrimi. Indian by nature, Swiss by karma. Zurück in Zürich. ____________________ Mit: Leonardo Nigro (Vijay Kumar), Dimitri Stapfer (Miranda), Mona Petri (Manju), Barbara Falter (Mama Kumar, Stimme App, Pflegerin, Dame), Fabian Müller (José), Ágota Dimén (Fiona), Anouk Petri (Noemi), Diana Rojas-Feile (Joana), Karin Wirthner (Frau Winter), Kaspar Weiss (Herr Winter, Armin, Herr Namboodiri, Papa Kumar, Dr. Grüninger), Gabriela Steinmann (Frau Berger, Kellnerin), Dani Mangisch (Herr Berger, Mann), Anikó Donáth (Mo), Graziella Rossi (Nonne), Heidi Maria Glössner (Frau Grüninger), Sunil Mann (Taxifahrer) ____________________ Hörspielfassung: Sunil Mann und Karin Berri – Musik: Martin Bezzola, Christian Riesen und Bijayashree Samal – Tontechnik: Roland Fatzer – Dramaturgie: Simone Karpf – Regie: Karin Berri ____________________ Produktion: SRF 2022 ____________________ Dauer: 30'
Mundartkrimi. He's back! Zürichs einziger indischer Privatdetektiv Vijay Kumar ermittelt wieder. ____________________ Mit: Leonard Nigro (Vijay), Dimitri Stapfer (Miranda), Ágota Dimén (Fiona), Kaija Ledergeber (Sandrine), Mona Petri (Manju), Barbara Falter (Mama Kumar), Antonio Ramon Luque (Olli), Michael Schertenleib (This), Dashmir Ristemi (Toni), Christoph Wettstein (Meierhofer), Caitlin Ida Bär (Marie), Ivan Georgiev (Martin), Kaspar Weiss (Armin/Dealer 1/Dealer 2), Helen Wills (Rebekka), Samuel Streiff (Armando), Sabina Deutsch (Evelyne), Sabrina Amali (Annika/Paradise), Fabian Müller (José), Sunil Mann (Petrovic), Michael Stauffer (Polizist 1) und Björn Müller (Polizist 2) ____________________ Musik: Martin Bezzola – Tontechnik: Tom Willen – Dramaturgie: Lia Schmieder – Regie: Susanne Janson ____________________ Produktion: SRF 2025 ____________________ Dauer: 30'

Sunil Sadasivan joins The Great Battlefield podcast to talk about his career in political tech, serving as Deputy CTO on Cory Booker's campaign and accepting the role as VP of Enineering at Bonterra, where he's responsible for all the products at the progressive political software company.
This podcast interview reveals why the best software breaks all the rules. My guest is Sunil Patel, CEO of Tekmetric. Before building software, Sunil owned and operated multiple auto repair shops, giving him a rare insider's perspective on the industry's real problems. He's a practical entrepreneur who's obsessed with simplicity and hates wasted effort. When in 2016, eight years after iPhones hit the market, shop owners still couldn't leverage that technology to run their business, Sunil decided to be the one to change that. And this inspired me to invite Sunil to my podcast. We explore how breaking industry norms and staying true to first principles creates remarkable companies. Sunil shares hard truths about why they turned down big clients, cut all marketing spending to zero, and raised the least funding in the industry - yet still became the market leader and only profitable one. You'll discover the counterintuitive decision that shocked his competitors but doubled customer loyalty overnight. Here's one of Sunil's quotes that captures his business philosophy: "We used first principles thinking. Everybody in our space wants to copy features from one another. Their sales team says 'we can't win against Tekmetric because they have these features' and they try to emulate what we've built. I don't approach development that way. I want to figure out what we're trying to solve." By listening to this podcast you'll learn: Why maintaining the right departmental hierarchy prevents overselling and product gaps What approach led Sunil to solve in one click what competitors needed 60-80 clicks for When saying "no" to customers with big wallets and long wishlists makes you more money Why hiring the right people trumps everything else in scaling a business For more information about the guest from this week: Guest: Sunil Patel Website: https://www.tekmetric.com/ Want to dig deeper into the 10 traits of remarkable SaaS companies? The Do One Better! Podcast – Philanthropy, Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship
In this compelling episode, Vishal Sunil, Co-Founder and CTO of Rocket Learning, offers a nuanced and forward-looking perspective on the intersection of artificial intelligence and early childhood education in India. Rocket Learning, a social impact organization working with over 3.2 million students across 10 Indian states, is radically transforming how foundational learning is delivered to underserved communities. The organization's vision is to ensure that every child, particularly those aged 0 to 6, reaches their full potential by empowering both caregivers and early childhood educators through scalable, tech-enabled interventions. Central to Rocket Learning's success is its deep integration with India's vast public daycare infrastructure, the anganwadi system. These centers, which serve a majority of the country's early learners, were historically under-resourced and underutilized for educational purposes. Rocket Learning is spearheading efforts to convert anganwadi workers into effective early childhood educators, a mission now backed at the national level through initiatives such as “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” — a government campaign that integrates nutrition with learning and is supported by a significant financial commitment. What sets Rocket Learning apart is its product philosophy: pragmatic, accessible, and deeply embedded in community. Rather than building flashy new platforms, the organization leverages ubiquitous tools like WhatsApp to facilitate parent-child and teacher-child engagement. Their pedagogy prioritizes social reinforcement by fostering community-based learning environments, where shared participation amplifies motivation and adoption. By rejecting highly individualized and gamified approaches in favor of communal learning, they offer an alternative paradigm rooted in behavioral science and cultural context. The discussion takes a particularly insightful turn as Sunil introduces Appu, Rocket Learning's new voice-based, AI-powered tutor developed in collaboration with Google.org. Appu is not merely a chatbot, but a human-centric educational interface designed to engage children in two-minute voice conversations tailored to their learning level, interests, and local context. The system is engineered with a guardrail framework — ensuring safety, consistency, and pedagogical alignment — while still offering dynamic, personalized experiences. This form of “guided discovery” allows children to learn through everyday interactions, and it encourages parents to participate actively in the process, thereby reinforcing learning through familial bonding. Multilingualism, minimal screen time, and culturally responsive design are at the core of Appu's development. The tool is already operational in several Indian languages and can be quickly adapted to new linguistic and regional contexts, with the ambition of one day serving learners globally. Importantly, Rocket Learning is not just interested in innovation for its own sake. As Sunil notes, the organization is committed to rigorous evidence-building. Their forthcoming randomized controlled trial, conducted in partnership with J-PAL, will offer critical insights into the impact of AI tutors on early childhood learning outcomes — potentially shaping global policy and philanthropy in this domain. Sunil's personal journey, from a data scientist in the United States to a purpose-driven social entrepreneur in India, is emblematic of a new generation of technologists who view scale not just as a metric, but as a moral imperative. His reflections are deeply grounded in the lived experiences of Rocket Learning's users — parents who sacrifice convenience for their child's future, and educators who evolve from caretakers to catalysts of cognitive development. This episode of the Astonishing Healthcare podcast with Dr. Sunil Budhrani (Chief Innovation & Medical Officer) highlights the transformative potential of Judi Health™, the first Unified Claims Processing™ platform offering a combined medical and pharmacy benefit experience (with vision and dental soon to follow)! Why is unifying claim administration necessary to reach a value-based world? Well, everyone has been talking about VBC for years, and it's proved to be an elusive target. On Episode 7, Dr. Budhrani explained why pharmacy must be included in the equation along with providers, patients, and payers, and today we go a level deeper, explaining why "everything" - all the patient's data - must be in one system to be able to achieve better health outcomes at a lower cost. On AH054 - Judi Health™: Going Beyond Pharmacy and into Medical Claims, with AJ Loiacono and Dr. Sunil Budhrani, we revealed what we're doing and why.Today, Sunil discusses our experience thus far - 5 months into our unified claims experience - and the importance of flexibility in plan design to achieve a plan's goals. He also explains how Judi Health helps to empower providers and the provider-patient relationship via a "transparent architecture." What should the experience be like for patients? How about the plan sponsor/HR team side of the equation? Tune in to find out and hear why Judi Health represents an "opportunity to see - and achieve - what many people in healthcare say cannot exist" (hint: it's a win for all stakeholders). In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I'm joined by Sunil Singhvi, Head of Arts & Culture at TriliTech, the London-based blockchain hub helping shape the future of digital experiences through the Tezos ecosystem. Sunil brings a rare blend of deep tech, culture, and media expertise, having held senior roles at Twitter, Instagram, and Rarible before joining Trilitech. His mission? To explore how blockchain isn't just about tokens and ledgers but about real human connection, particularly between creators, brands, and their communities. What stood out in our conversation is how Sunil views blockchain as a vehicle for restoring creative autonomy and rebuilding trust in the creator-fan relationship. Through compelling examples like Manchester United's Fantasy United game and McLaren's collectible-driven fandom, we explore how Tezos enables ownership, co-creation, and authentic engagement that outpaces traditional social platforms and algorithms. We unpack the evolution of NFTs, moving beyond the speculative bubble of the past into more grounded use cases that offer tangible benefits. From supporting emerging artists through royalty-respecting marketplaces like objkt.com to enabling fans to co-create digital artwork through platforms such as editart.xyz, the conversation highlights a meaningful shift in how digital creativity is produced and experienced. Sunil paints a future where fans become collaborators and artists regain long-lost visibility into who their supporters truly are. We also reflect on the power of community, where smaller and more engaged groups increasingly matter more than vast but disengaged audiences. And perhaps most importantly, we explore what happens when creative expression is no longer dictated by opaque systems but driven by transparent, decentralized tools. Could blockchain finally deliver on the promise of a fairer and more inclusive creative economy? And if so, how can artists, brands, and everyday users participate in this movement without repeating the missteps of earlier digital revolutions? Let us know your thoughts. Could Web3 be the reset button creative industries have been waiting for?
Chris is thrilled to have completed his first ever 10,000 kilometer race only to have the legs cut out from underneath him.
