Did you know that the health decisions you make for your dog today will impact their long-term health? including whether your dog could be at-risk developing Canine Cognitive Dysfunction aka canine dementia? I learned that as many as 50% of dogs show signs of canine dementia in their lifetime – and these signs can show up as early as 5 years old for larger breed dogs! Francine Barish-Stern learned all of this first-hand after her experiences with her dog, Shamrock. She spent years trying to get a proper diagnosis for Shamrock that would explain both the physical changes and the behavioral changes she was seeing in her dog - and that diagnosis was Canine Cognitive Dysfunction. Now a Dog Mom advocate on a mission, Francine shares with us everything Pet Parents should know about treating and preventing canine dementia in our dogs. After interviewing more than 50 experts – from veterinarians to researchers of human dementia and Alzheimer's – Francine published a book to help Pet Parents called Shamrock's Story: From Hurricane Katrina to Doggy Dementia & Alzheimer's. No matter how old – or young – your dog is, Francine shares with us what the experts say about the choices to make for your dog right now to help them live the longest, healthiest life possible. Brian Barish, president and chief investment officer for Cambiar Investors, says that rising interest rates have increased the cost of capital for businesses, which is shifting which industries and businesses can thrive. The increased cost of capital is changing market conditions to where value and growth investing are now on a more equal footing, and should be more balanced moving forward. Leo Leydon, president of Financial Focus Advisory Services, says the economy has had its recession in the form of two negative GDP quarters last year, and that people expecting a bear market have been wrong; while he expects a pullback in the market, Leydon thinks it will be short enough to be treated like a buying opportunity. Susan Fahy examines the latest 'Credit Gauge' from VantageScore, which shows that delinquencies are up slightly but that American consumers are using credit more cautiously. Plus, forensic accountant Tracy Coenen gets real in discussing pre-nups, post-nups and 're-nups,' and showing how some cases involving 'Real Housewives' cast members highlight the struggles couples have when dividing both assets and debts when the relationship and the money don't turn out as anticipated on the wedding day.

Muna shuts the storeroom door as quietly as she can. Holding a just-waxed bundle of letters to her chest, she sticks out her head to check the bookshop floor. If she walks between the shelves on the far right, she can slip out unnoticed in ten heartbeats. The main door of the bookshop is propped open, the sun shining after what feels like a year of sodden clouds and sludged streets---she can't wait to feel its warmth on her skin. | © 2023 by Isha Karki. The late Qing was a time of great turmoil and upheaval but also a time of great possibility, as scholars, officials, the press, and revolutionaries all sought to find ways to shape China's future. For many, as explored in Daniel Barish's new book, Learning to Rule: Court Education and the Remaking of the Qing State, 1861-1912 (Columbia UP, 2022), the solution lay not outside the Qing but within it — with the emperor himself. Learning to Rule explores the education of the final three Qing emperors, looking at how debates about Western learning, foreign language education, the Manchu Way, and constitutionalism played out in the classrooms of the Qing emperors. Not only is this an intimate and deeply human look at the emperor and court life, it also shows just how involved the Qing was in global conversations about the role and education of a monarch, with many drawing on the examples of rulers in Russia and Japan when proposing their own plans for the Qing. Vividly written, this book will be of interest to any readers looking to learn about the late Qing, modern Chinese history, and the history of global empires — as well as those who might be curious about what it was like to try to teach the Son of Heaven. Jordan thought it was crazy he had never been to Nancy Silverton's Italian leaning steakhouse, The Barish, so he met up with Shapiro on Hollywood Blvd to experience something that isn't exactly The Mozzaplex, though the fried pizza dough, deconstructed tartare, NY strip, and all the gelato didn't exactly disappoint. The fellas discuss the hits and misses, the pitfalls of these type of big name chef ventures, steak in L.A., The Horse of course, and where they'll eat next.

3.Munafiq Awr Barish Ki Misaal - Al-Baqarah 19-20
Howard Barish formed the production company Kandoo Films in 1992 and he gave Ava DuVernay her start, executive producing her first narrative features. He then went on to produce the acclaimed documentary 13th with her as well. This process inspired Barish's right hand man, Michael Nell to write a feature called Blindfire. Nell's script tackles the murky intersection of race and police with the story of a hostage situation gone wrong. Barish liked the script so much, he couldn't say no. Nell and Barish join us to talk about their controversial new film and how they both navigated Hollywood to get to where they are. Blindfire is out now on VOD. *Note: we apologize for any imperfections in our audio. This podcast was recorded remotely.* Please email us any questions at ask@nofilmschool.com! It's time to establish a marketing routine that wins! Don't miss this exciting episode featuring marketing leader and strategist for both B2B and B2C channels, and VP of Digital Marketing at Dynasty Financial Partners, Justin Barish. In this episode we discuss how to get the most out of your social platforms, the benefit of digital network referrals over word-of-mouth referrals and share first-hand career advice on how to boost your professional game and become an authentic marketing influencer. Takeaways: Remember that referrals can come in through a digital network as well as a personal network. Make sure you are testing the different ways digital marketing gets you referrals. It will help you determine what works and what doesn't. It's strategic to develop specific messages for specific audiences BUT every message must map back to your brand DNA to maintain your overall brand integrity. For marketing to work you need a value exchange; what you're giving must be of equal or greater value than what you are asking for. Avoid a misaligned value exchange. Process comes down to routinization. Commit to being consistent and disciplined with your marketing process and you'll eventually get the results you want. It's all about small wins. Don't miss out on the progress obtained from small wins by being too obsessed with the big wins. Have confidence in your ability to do things in your own style and flow. Don't be afraid to do everything in a personalized way. Practice makes progress. It's not about perfection, it's about making progress.
