Theodore Roosevelt National Park has so much history and wildlife. Come learn about the wildlife you can observe in this park: pronghorn, wild horses, bison, prairie dogs, elk and deer.  The solitude of this park make it a unique experience your family will love. 

Send us a textCuyahoga National Park is a story of restoration and recovery to the Cuyahoga river and surrounding area. This river was once on fire, and soon after the fire a national movement started to restore and protect wildlife. The first Earth Day celebration was observed after this movement began.  Come learn about some of the wonderful activities and wildlife viewing this park has to offer. 

Lassen Volcanic National Park. This was our last California National Park trip, and it was so fun. We met some family at the park and enjoyed the warm weather,  cool lakes, interesting geothermal areas, and rich volcanic history.  Lassen is very diverse is the only park with the four different kinds of volcanoes in one park. 

New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia is full of adventures to be had for the ultimate dare devil to family adventures, there is something for everyone in this park.  The Gorge has been formed over millions of years of the New River carving out the canyon. Come learn why we think the New River has the wrong name, along with some fascinating history of the area and fun things to do.  

The Great Smoky Mountains is the park that gets the most visitors every year. Located in Tennessee and North Carolina, surrounded by mountains, rivers, trees and valleys. There is so much to see and do in the Great Smokies, climb to the tallest peak on an easy paved walk to a lookout dome, raft the rivers, watch fireflies, spot bears and woodchucks, find a trail to meander on,  and learn about the history of the earliest settlers in Cave Codes loop, there is something for everyone in this popular park!

Mesa Verde is the United States first national park to protect human made historical structures.  It has over 600 amazing pueblan cliff dwelllings scattered throughout the park. Come learn about these cliff dwellings, what the Anasazi did to support themselves in this extreme high altitude environment and why they left.  It's a park with a lot of history and so much to explore. 

Olympic National Park has stunning coastline, temperate old growth rainforests and soaring peaks. There is so much to do and see in Olympic National Park and this makes it one of our favorite parks. Come learn about the landscape, history and biology of the park and discover why it is a must on your national parks list. 

White Sands National Park is known for it's stunning white sand dunes. Come learn how they were formed, and all the fun things to do while exploring this beautiful park.

Pinnacles National Park in California is California's newest national park.  Come learn about the only National Park release site for the California Condor, and about the Talus caves.  This park has a lot to offer, from strapping on your headlight and hiking through the caves, spotting wild condors, and sneaky raccoons in camp, come learn what makes this park so much fun to explore, especially with kids!

How did Death Valley get it's name? Why is it so hot? Why does it get so little rain? Death Valley holds a lot of titles for being the most, well you name it! Come find out what makes Death Valley so famous, and learn about all there is to explore at this mega-sized National Park.   

Bryce Canyon is home to the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. Join us to learn about the fascinating geology of hoodoos, the history of the park and it's endangered species. We think Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful national parks, it's red and orange hoodoos that spire out of the earth, and it's enchanting hiking trails make this park one of the most visited national parks in the United States.  

Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave and Colorado Desert, is known for it's unique landscape, stunning sunsets and dark night skies. It was also one of our favorite parks for kids, there are endless boulder piles to climb and explore and great hikes for families. Come on an adventure with us and learn why Joshua Tree National Park sits in the top ten of most visited National Parks. 

Gateway Arch also known as the gateway to the west rests in Missouri on the Mississippi River.  It is a stunning masterpiece of engineering, built in the 1960s and has one of the most beautiful and thoughtful visitor centers of any national park we have visited.  Come learn why this park is great to learn some history and a wonderful jumping off point for lots of kids activities in St. Louis, Missouri. 

Hot Springs National Park is located in Arkansas, and is the smallest of the United States National Parks. Despite it's small size this park is packed with interesting history and things to do.  Come learn about this unique national park and learn why it was protected before Yellowstone.  

Channel Islands National Park in California has five islands to visit that are only accessible by ferry. On this episode we have two special guests!  Ranger Justin joins us and shares some insider information, he lived and worked at Channel Islands National Park for ten years.  We also have Brant's amazing friend Arlo who camped with us on Santa Cruz Island and shares his experience. Carlsbad Caverns National Park is one of the most accessible caves in North America and famous for it's grand exit of bats at sunset.  Watching the bats leave the cave was one of our favorite wildlife experiences. Carlsbad Caverns has so much to offer and explore come learn why  this is one of our favorite national parks.

Zion National park is the fifth most visited park, beloved for it's stunning red rocks and canyons.  Come learn about what makes this park so popular to visit. 

Everglades National Park is home to alligators, crocodiles and large bermese pythons. It is a truly unique ecosystem and one of the worlds largest wetlands.  Come listen and explore what makes Everglades so unique.  

Hawaii Volcanoes was one of our favorite parks to explore. Come learn about this geologically fascinating park that is home to the world's largest active volcano. 

Virgin Island's stunning white sand beaches had us swooning over this island as soon as we arrived. Come learn about the interesting history and ecology that makes this park one of our favorites. 

Acadia National Park is one of America's smallest national parks on the coast of Maine. It may be small but it is packed full of beauty and interesting facts. Come learn about what makes Acadia National Park small but mighty. 

Black Canyon of the Gunnison has some of the steepest cliffs and oldest rock in America. Learn about this lesser known and visited park and why you should visit. 

Grand Canyon National Park and the Colorado river are one of the most spectacular examples of erosion anywhere in the world. Learn about how this canyon was formed and the wildlife that resides there. 

Yosemite National Park is famous for it's spectacular geology and waterfalls. Learn about all the makes Yosemite one of America's most visited national parks. 

Yellowstone National Park is America's first national park. Learn about the hydrothermal features and wildlife that makes Yellowstone so unique.
