He is an enthusiast of Wilderness Medicine and enrolled as a Fellow candidate for the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. He is writing a book on where hiking and backpacking meet Wilderness Medicine, and specifically how to avoid trouble in the wilderness through strategies, field skills and preparation.
