The New England Patriots picked up their first win of the 2026 season Sunday afternoon, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-3 at Gillette Stadium. After a disappointing Week 1 loss, New England responded with a dominant defensive performance that kept Pittsburgh's offense in check throughout the afternoon. The Patriots got on the board first when TreVeyon Henderson broke loose for a 39-yard touchdown run in his season debut, giving New England an early 7-0 lead. Andy Borregales added two field goals, while Pittsburgh managed only one score — a 56-yard Chris Boswell field goal just before halftime. Latu played in the preseason for the Philadelphia Eagles where he made 2 catches for 24 yards in the preseason. Latu came into the league in 2023 with the San Francisco 49ers and spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad in 2024. Last season Latu appeared in 15 games for the Philadelphia Eagles primary on special teams where he recorded 11 total tackles in those 15 games. Muasau joins the Patriots from the New York Giants. Muasau played in 27 games in his time with the New York Giants recording 106 total tackles in those games. In this preseason he made 4 total tackles before the Giants waived him. In claiming those players the Patriots were forced to make a corresponding move and moved on from LB K.J. Britt who the Patriots brought in this offseason.
