Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino return off the second bye week to form the Helium Boys Podcast in anticipation of No. 23 USC's big road game against Nebraska where a sold out crowd is expected for the "Blackout" game.  It's no surprise that both hosts spend their 'Two-Minute Drill' talking about the trip to Nebraska. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino return to the podcast medium to break down USC's massive win over then No. 15 Michigan at home in the Coliseum, giving Lincoln Riley his first signature win in the Big Ten era.  Shotgun spends his 'Two-Minute Drill' talking about the impressive performance by USC's offensive line, which continues to play well even without two season opening starters. Chris uses his time to talk about the electric atmosphere in the Coliseum and praise Trojan fans for their impact on the game. They then dive into Stock Up, Stock Down, which include the defensive front, Lincoln Riley, kicker Ryon Sayeri and more. The duo also discusses injuries to the running back room and the play of walk-on running back King Miller, who finished with 158 yards and a touchdown, and the dramatic second-half appearance from Bryan Jackson.  USC's top running backs Waymond Jordan Jr. and Eli Sanders were both carted off the field in the first half with injuries, leaving USC with zero healthy scholarship tailbacks. Sanders will miss the rest of the season while Jordan Jr. will be out four-to-six weeks with ankle surgery.  The Helium Boys dive into the second half of the show to preview USC's big road rivalry matchup with No. 13 Notre Dame. This could be the final game in the rivalry for the near future as the two teams do not have a deal to play in place beyond 2025. The USC 2025 football season is well underway after a Week 2 win over Georgia Southern in the Clay Helton Bowl. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino were both on the sidelines from the Coliseum for a front-row seat to USC's 59-20 win over the Eagles.  Trevino and Spratling dive into their 'Two-Minute Drill' with the former taking time to talk about the emotions of seeing Helton once again in the Coliseum while Spratling takes the time to show some extra love for senior defensive end Anthony Lucas recording the first two sacks of his career.  The Helium Boys dive into their Stock Up, Stock Down segment, which includes USC's offensive line, the running back room, the duo of Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane and the Trojans' early sack production.  The Helium Boys then dive into the second half of the show to preview Purdue, which represent USC's Big Ten opener and first road game of the season. This is a reunion game for a multitude of reasons: USC starting QB Jayden Maiava played under Odom at UNLV in 2023, guiding them to the Mountain West Championship game. Former USC offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Josh Henson left the Trojans this offseason to be the offensive coordinator with the Boilermakers. The season has finally arrived.  Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino are back behind the microphones for another edition of the Helium Boys Podcast to discuss USC's 73-13 beatdown of Missouri State to improve to 1-0 on the year.  Trevino and Spratling dive into their 'Two-Minute Drill' with the latter giving praise to walk-on running back King Miller for his 75-yard TD run, a notable achievement for a walk-on player. Trevino offers some fan shoutouts while also preaching fans should enjoy the win but remember it was a much weaker opponent.  For the first time this season, the Helium Boys dive into their Stock Up, Stock Down segment, which includes safety Bishop Fitzgerald, Jayden Maiava, USC's big plays and much more.  The Helium Boys then dive into the second half of the show to preview Georgia Southern, led by former USC head coach Clay Helton. Georgia Southern is remaining in California for the week leading up to the USC game after heading West to play Fresno State.
