Tek & Prem welcome Tom Stakes onto the VetLine to talk Eagles. The Broncos come to Philly with their stout defense and young quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos last win in Philadelphia came in 1986. At 4-0, the Birds have simply found ways to win. The offense, defense, and special teams units have contributed equally throughout their undefeated September against top-tier NFL competition. As the Super Bowl Champions head into October, the offense will continue to evolve, and the defense will see the return of Nakobe Dean to the field. The Phillies and Dodgers are set to meet in the NLDS and the first two games will take place at the raucous Citizens Bank Park. With a marquee pitching matchup of Ohtani v. Sanchez for Game One, the pressure is on this group of Phillies to phinally get it done in October after reaching the World Series in 2022, losing, and not making it back in their last two attempts. The table is set, but the bats will need to get hot if they expect to knock off the defending World Series Champion Dodgers in this best-of-five series. Munaf Manji and SleepyJ talk NFL player props for week 5. Munaf Manji (0:16 - 0:58) opened by welcoming listeners to the NFL Week 5 props edition, promising four picks each, touchdown props, and a final best bet. He highlighted last week's success going 3-1 and cashing Bo Nix's passing yards over, setting momentum for this week. SleepyJ (0:59 - 1:15) returned after a busy week, eager to deliver winners. Munaf (1:17 - 1:50) stressed their 3-1 record on best bets and shifted to quarterback props. SleepyJ (1:51 - 3:23) started with Tua Tagovailoa under 32.5 passing attempts, noting Miami's offense fares worse when Tua throws more, pointing to past losses tied to higher attempts. With Tyreek Hill out and Carolina better attacked on the ground, he expected “more HN, less Tua.” Munaf (3:23 - 6:51) agreed Miami should run more without Hill's deep threat. His QB prop was Baker Mayfield to throw an interception vs. Seattle, citing the Seahawks' ball-hawking defense that intercepted Purdy, Rodgers, and Murray twice each. He noted Mayfield threw three picks vs. Seattle in 2019 and another in 2023, making turnovers likely. SleepyJ (6:51 - 7:28) reinforced that without Mike Evans, Mayfield would struggle. Moving to running backs, SleepyJ (7:37 - 9:10) played Jordan Mason under 80.5 rushing + receiving yards against Cleveland, explaining the Browns' top-ranked run defense and Minnesota's depleted offensive line left Mason little chance. Munaf (9:10 - 12:37) supported this with stats: Browns allowing 60.5 rush yards per game and 2.29 per carry. His RB pick was Justice Hill over 14.5 receiving yards, noting Lamar Jackson's absence meant Cooper Rush would rely on checkdowns. Hill's snaps rose to 59% and he logged 41 yards last week, showing reliable production. SleepyJ (12:37 - 13:54) agreed, suggesting Hill could equal Henry's snaps. At wide receiver, SleepyJ (14:03 - 15:37) chose Garrett Wilson over 62.5 yards, citing Dallas' league-worst pass defense and Wilson's dominance with 38 team targets versus the next at six. Munaf (15:38 - 19:43) added Dallas allows 207 yards per game to WRs, worst in the NFL, and praised Wilson's opportunity. His WR pick was Courtland Sutton over 56.5 yards, pointing to chemistry with Bo Nix and recent big-yardage games. SleepyJ (19:44 - 21:17) highlighted Eagles rookie Quinyon Mitchell's struggles, making Sutton a strong matchup. At tight end, SleepyJ (21:28 - 23:49) doubled up with Trey McBride over 63.5 yards and Marvin Harrison Jr. over 50.5 yards for Arizona, arguing with RBs hurt, Kyler Murray would lean on them. Munaf (23:50 - 27:15) agreed, calling it a breakout spot. His TE pick was Sam LaPorta over 39.5 yards vs. Cincinnati, who allow 61 per game to TEs. SleepyJ (27:16 - 29:00) warned about blowout risk but leaned over. Munaf (29:00 - 30:14) emphasized Cincinnati's fragile psyche without Burrow. After promotions, SleepyJ (32:46 - 34:33) chose Alvin Kamara anytime TD vs. the Giants, noting his slump could rebound against a weak rush defense. Munaf (34:34 - 38:57) picked Quinton Johnson anytime TD for the Chargers, citing three scores in four games and Washington's poor defense. For their best bet, Munaf (38:57 - 40:41) gave Nico Collins over 72.5 yards vs. Baltimore, with back-to-back big games and Ravens' injury-riddled secondary. SleepyJ (40:41 - 40:40) added Collins could hit alt lines of 100+ easily, even 150 if the Ravens' holes were exposed. Munaf (40:41 - 41:38) confirmed Collins' alt yardage odds, locking in Texans WR Nico Collins over 72.5 as the official best bet. SleepyJ (41:39 - 42:02) closed by urging use of the promo code and predicting another winning week, while Munaf (42:02 - 42:19) signed off confident they'd improve to 4-1 on best bets. The Philadelphia Eagles are 4-0 after a wild 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4!
Week 4 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 31-25 down at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay. They are now 4-0 on the season and right at the top of the NFC East division. This game was certainly a tale of two halves with he Eagles offense being dominant and in control in the first half, and completely anemic in the second.Jalen Hurts showed how he's a top-tier quarterback in the NFL to start this game as he was 15/16 for 130 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 140.1 passer rating in the first half. The second half stalled and didn't progress well for Hurts, his receivers, or the rushing attack. While the offense didn't put up great-looking numbers, they got the job done and helped secure a win.The defensive pass rush is the most pressing issue facing the Eagles as it's almost nonexistent. While the defense had two sacks today, they only had one quarterback hit and weren't able to rattle Bucs QB Baker Mayfield. Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean were, however, such strong defenders in this game. They were definitely the MVPs of the defense. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, plus we graded each unit to close out the show.SUBSCRIBE on YouTube: youtube.com/@thephiladelphiasportstableHead over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.comFollow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow us on Instagram:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstable.Follow Jeff on TikTok: @mrjeffwarrenFollow us on Facebook: facebook.com/PhiladelphiaSportsTable
Tek & Prem welcome Kay Adams' Senior Producer Matt Hamilton of FanDuel TV on the VetLine to talk NFL. The Eagles stun the Rams and move to 3-0. Looking ahead at a tough matchup in Tampa Bay, the Eagles have the edge in this edition of the rivalry, as the Bucs are missing their best playmaker and Baker Mayfield nurses an arm injury. Jalen Hurts, Saquon, DeVonta and AJ are 18-0 when starting and finishing games together. Defensively, the loss of Nolan Smith is big, but there are able-bodies to step in and create a pass rush for the Birds. Vic Fangio's system is air tight thus far as the chief of the defense. The Phillies clinch the bye in the NL Playoffs and homefield advantage if they make it back to the World Series. Tek & Prem welcome Jon Marks on the VetLine to talk Eagles and Phillies. The Birds host the Rams this weekend at the Linc in a Divisional Round Rematch as we delve into game dynamics. With a stout defense and veteran QB bent on revenge, this matchup will be as tough a game as any on the Eagles 2025 Schedule. Jalen Hurts acknowledges the offense's struggles in the passing game in the first 2 games and we expect to see an improved product at home on Sunday. Stafford has weapons and knows how to get the ball into their hands, so the game will again fall on the back of Fangio and his defensive plan, and our playmakers. The Phillies have secured their 2nd straight NL East Title and are in the race for the NL 1 seed as they head to Arizona this weekend firmly in control of the 2 seed, after winning 2 of 3 against the Dodgers. The D'Backs are fighting for their Playoff lives, but the Phils lineup has been getting contributions from just about everyone, and they look primed for a World Series run. Segments include: VetPhact, Tek's 10, VetLine, & Prem's NFL Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Tek & Prem discuss the upcoming Eagles season opener against Dallas next Thursday Night, and breakdown the 53-man roster. Some late changes were pulled off by Howie and the Front Office, with former Birds returning to the nest in Epps and Covey. The QB Factory also continues to churn. With the Cowboys defense losing Micah Parsons in a trade with Green Bay, it appears more likely that the Eagles soar offensively next Thursday Night, on Super Bowl banner night. Jalen Hurts continues to be slandered by losers like Cam Newton on national television. The march to repeat as Super Bowl Champions is almost underway. The Phillies bounce back from a nitemare series sweep in NY in a big way versus the Braves, pouring on a season-high 19 runs, including 4 bombs from Schwarber as he sets a new Phillies single-game franchise record with 9 RBI. It looks more and more likely that the NL MVP Award is his to lose. The biggest question heading into the final month of baseball is whether or not the Phils can win enough to secure the 2 seed, and avoid a potential Wild Card Series against the Mets. Segments include: VetPhact, Prem's MLB Picks. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
The 94 WIP Morning Show with Tom Kelly, Hunter Brody, and Ashlyn Sullivan in for Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie believe that all things considered Rob Thomson has managed the Phillies well this year. Breaking news hits that Cooper DeJean will now be practicing at the outside Cornerback spot opposite Quinyon Mitchell. This is a worrying sign- Vic Fangio, via a Tweet from Eliot Shorr-Parks says alludes to the fact that he is not happy with the way the other Cornerbacks have looked.
Tek & Prem welcome Bob Vetrone Jr. of Boop Stats on the VetLine to talk Birds and Phils. He also gives us some Veterans Stadium History and great memories. The Eagles start the regular season in just 3 weeks against the Cowboys at home, as the campaign to repeat as Super Bowl Champions commences. With Preseason Game #2 approaching versus Cleveland, the questions mostly surround the composition and effectiveness of the secondary. The backup QB McKee was spectacular in the first Preseason Game. Possibly the team's only true weakness, someone will either have to emerge as the "guy" in the secondary, or Howie may have to make another move to solidify it. The Phillies lead the NL East by 5 games as we enter the latter half of August. The freefalling Mets cannot stay on track and are losers of 9 of 10. The outfield shuffle is of great debate, but one thing is certain, Jhoan Duran is the real deal. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine. Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)
Sheil is joined by Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer to discuss the Eagles-Browns joint practices this week, leading up to their preseason matchup on Saturday. What's the latest on Eagles Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson's meniscus injury he suffered during the open practice at the Linc? How will it cause a shift in the O-line for the time being (03:20)? Who impressed Olivia on defense, specifically in the pass rush, and whom does Vic Fangio trust in that unit (23:02)? How is the battle for the second cornerback position, opposite Quinyon Mitchell, shaping up? Is Kelee Ringo rising to the occasion (30:28)? How has Eagles 2025 first-round pick Jihaad Campbell looked in camp? Is he experiencing some growing pains (40:35)? Email hot takes: Ringerphilly@gmail.com. 1. Even if this saga ends the way most expect it to (with Micah Parsons staying in Dallas on a market-setting extension), does this make you wonder why Jerry Jones was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame before the late Pat Bowlen and Robert Kraft? 2. Tek & Prem discuss the Phillies MLB Trade Deadline moves with the acquisitions of star closer Jhoan Duran and Outfielder Harrison Bader, welcoming radio personality and reporter Haley Taylor Simon on the Vetline to discuss the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers. By adding an elite closer, the team is considered second in line as World Series favorites, still positioned behind the Dodgers in that regard. The bats in October will be the determining factor of their success or failure, as the starting pitching is top-tier this season. With 2 months of baseball remaining, and the other contending NL teams all improving their rosters at the deadline (especially the Mets and Padres), this is as wide open a pennant race as we have seen in recent memory. A 3-game set against the 1st-Place Detroit Tigers, a familiar foe of Duran from his time in Minnesota, kicks off tonight at the Bank. The Eagles are in full swing at Training Camp and the first Preseason game against Cincinnati is remarkably only 6 days from now. With many position battles taking place on defense especially, it will be intriguing to see who emerges as the starting cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell and how our front seven depth shakes out. It is almost time for football once again and the champs are back. Segments include: VetPhact, VetLine, Prem's MLB Picks.Courtesy of the Vet Alumni Members Association (VAMA)

Brendan Gunn is stepping in for Andrew DiCecco today to discuss the events at Eagles Training Camp. Notably, players Devonta Smith and Drew Makuba were absent from practice, while Jalen Carter made a limited return. In a segment from Unfiltered, Andrew DiCecco provided insights on Adoree' Jackson, who took the majority of cornerback reps, as well as comments on Jihaad Campbell and Quinyon Mitchell. This evening's player spotlight features Safety Sydney Brown, who expressed feeling better than he has in some time after recovering from a knee injury. We also include audio from Brown's earlier media session, highlighting his progress and outlook.
Today marked Andrew's favorite day as the Eagles practiced in full pads, allowing a clearer view of how players elevate their performance. He reviewed the injury report, which included notable names like Devonta Smith, Nolan Smith, and Zack Baun. Additionally, Cooper DeJean once again showcased his versatility by lining up at both slot corner and safety during practice. The competition for the cornerback position is particularly captivating, with Adoree Jackson and Keele Ringo vying for the second spot behind Quinyon Mitchell. Linebackers Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Jihaad Campbell stood out as the stars of the day, both delivering impressive performances. We feature audio from Vic Fangio's earlier press conference and later on Andrew highlighted several lesser-known players who have made significant contributions on the field.

Hour 4: Ike, Spike and Fritz wrap up the show with the Top 5 at 5, Text Line and more Top 11 discussion including if Quinyon Mitchell should make people's lists.
To hear Vic Fangio say it, the Eagles defense is in a similar position this year to where it was a year ago when no one expect Zack Baun to burst onto the scene as an All-Pro linebacker or Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell to turn into the best young tandem of cornerbacks in the league or C.J. Gardner-Johnson to bring his tenacity. Now, it's up to the likes of Jordan Davis and Nolan Smith to be on the field more often and for someone to emerge from the linebacker and safety competitions as the new top dog and to Kelee Ringo to turn into a fully competent cornerback. Zach Berman and Bo Wulf discuss what they learned from the second OTA and spin things forward to what will matter come September.
Live on site at Brian Dawkins' charity golf tournament, we talk to Weapon X about his thoughts on Vic Fangio's unbelievable debut season in Philadelphia, with Quinyon Mitchell, Zack Baun, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith and Reed Blankenship laying the wood on the opposition. OTAs are underway and we're looking into the ways in which the Eagles completely overhauled a defense that went to the Super Bowl into the best, young defense in football, shedding players like T.J.
