Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino return for another highly anticipated episode of the Helium Boys Podcast to discuss USC's big 38-17 win over Northwestern and a big homecoming matchup with Iowa this weekend.  Shotgun spends his 'Two-Minute Drill' to set the mood for this matchup with Iowa and head coach Kirk Ferentz, who has directly taken some shots at head coach Lincoln Riley and the Trojans in recent years. Chris spends his 'Two-Minute Drill' discussing how Saturday will be a good measuring stick for USC in terms of how far the program has come since the loss to the Hawkeyes in the 2019 Holiday Bowl.  The Helium Boys then dive into Stock Up, Stock Down from the home victory over Northwestern, which includes a lengthy discussion about numerology and fake punts as well as Ja'Kobi Lane's making a number of difficult catches. The USC 2025 football season is well underway after a Week 2 win over Georgia Southern in the Clay Helton Bowl. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino were both on the sidelines from the Coliseum for a front-row seat to USC's 59-20 win over the Eagles.  Trevino and Spratling dive into their 'Two-Minute Drill' with the former taking time to talk about the emotions of seeing Helton once again in the Coliseum while Spratling takes the time to show some extra love for senior defensive end Anthony Lucas recording the first two sacks of his career.  The Helium Boys dive into their Stock Up, Stock Down segment, which includes USC's offensive line, the running back room, the duo of Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane and the Trojans' early sack production.  The Helium Boys then dive into the second half of the show to preview Purdue, which represent USC's Big Ten opener and first road game of the season. This is a reunion game for a multitude of reasons: USC starting QB Jayden Maiava played under Odom at UNLV in 2023, guiding them to the Mountain West Championship game. Former USC offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Josh Henson left the Trojans this offseason to be the offensive coordinator with the Boilermakers. Henson was part of Lincoln Riley's initial staff in 2022. Former USC wide receiver Charles Ross was on the team but was forced to medically retire. The season has finally arrived.  Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino are back behind the microphones for another edition of the Helium Boys Podcast to discuss USC's 73-13 beatdown of Missouri State to improve to 1-0 on the year.  Trevino and Spratling dive into their 'Two-Minute Drill' with the latter giving praise to walk-on running back King Miller for his 75-yard TD run, a notable achievement for a walk-on player.
