    Sunday August 21, 2016 Luke 16:19-31 Do you still enjoy celebrating your birthday? Or is it a day that reminds you how you came up short from the past year. Are you fighting regret? I don't want you to wish that you ha cared more for the people around you if you had just seen them. I don' want you to think, I wish I had listened to God's prophets and to Jesus. I don't ever want you to think, I wish I'd had the courage to live a life in which my actions were more in line with my beliefs. Jesus short story invites us to step out of regret. Although we make mistakes, Jesus provides us an opportunity for fresh start. The warning, if we expend everything on ourselves then there is nothing left in our heavenly treasury. Today we must put we must put our love to work in others.
