The Bates team consistently is highlighted as one of the top teams in the country for volume and units. In 2020, Rachel and her best friend, Stephanie Greenfield, founded The Home Connection, a 12-month real estate planner designed to increase real estate production.  In today's episode of Starting From Scratch, host Shelly L. Henderson talks to Rachel about starting her own business, her personal experiences in the real estate market and how social media has changed the landscape for buying and selling a home.

Emma Cohen's idea, Final Straw, went viral after a Buzzfeed article wrote about her Kickstarter campaign. Final Straw is a simple product with a big idea, and was good enough to make her company over 5 million dollars in sales in its first year. Blogger and NYT Bestselling author Russ Crandall comes on to talk about how he created his Domestic Man blog and grew it to big heights.   Russ went from someone who had massive autoimmune issues in his 20s that doctors couldn't figure out, to figuring out how diet affected his health. After a while of learning to cook foods that didn't cause inflammation, Russ started posting his recipes and over time his blog grew and he accidentally became an influencer himself and has since written several books.
