The 2025 Schedule is here! The guys are back and kick off this episode with updates from around the league. Teams are trying to load up before training camp begins. Some changes seem better than others. Time will tell. Then the guys go through the 2025 schedule and break down their early thoughts. There are international games, night games, "meaningful games" and more to dig into. Enjoy!Support this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books!Your team made it's decision that made you either feel like the season is doomed or that you'll finally get over the hump. Schif has his thoughts on his beloved Falcons, while Jon's apathy jibes with the feelings a lot of Dolphins fans likely share. The Draft in and of itself was entertaining, with teams making moves up and down the board as always, ensuring no perfect mock drafts. Imagine that! Mel Kiper was wrong about one Shadeur Sanders, who in hindsight didn't do himself any favors in the lead-up to the draft. That, and other storylines are discussed by the guys.Ultimately everything leads to the yearly division winner parlay bet. The guys close out the episode with their thoughts on the divisions post-draft. The 2025 Draft is upon us!The offseason is in full swing. The guys begin by detailing the new rules as decided by the powers that be in the league. Some they like, some they don't and some are just plain cowardice. Then Schif details the latest roster changes around the league. Some teams seem to be positioning themselves for the draft, others seem to be trying to go for it all, while others seem to be lost in the sauce. Finally, the guys go through all of the top prospects of the Draft. Hey NFL Fans!Your favorite duo is back with the first 2025 offseason update!A lot has happened since we last joined our guys Jon & Schif. Some teams have parted ways with big roster pieces while others recommitted (Hi Raiders!) and one major player (Hi DK!) has demanded a trade. The offseason is officially in motion and the guys react accordingly. Some rules changes and amendments are underway as with every offseason. However, it looks like things will pretty much remain the same, despite some tech improvements that could make things more fair.Schif wisened up and decided against being one of those mock draft guys. That means there's a lot of time for Hard Knocks. But will there even be a Hard Knocks? The 2024 NFL Season is in the books! The Philadelphia Eagles are your NFL "World Champions". Congratulations to the team and their fans. The game was not fun, as they beat the breaks off of the Chiefs in the lopsided victory that offered a slice of humble pie to the current dynasty of the league. Schif and Jon give their thoughts about the game that shocked pretty much everyone. One of the winners of the big game was Mr. Kendrick Lamar, who executed a well-thought-out halftime performance that seemed to have been layered with meaning and symbolism. The guys discuss their feelings about the current king of rap and his biggest rival, Drake. The end of a season is short-lived, as the next season is always right around the corner. SveNFL will be covering the game we love during the offseason as well. Stay tuned for updates, breakdowns and mock drafts as we get ready for what should be an exciting 2025 season. The Super Bowl is upon us!Yes, the big game is here and it will determine the champion of the 2024 season! The guys are way more excited about this game than they were about the Pro Bowl, as you'll see.The guys go through the NFL Awards Winners and the things they would change about the awards. As everyone knows, SveNFL would make the NFL an even better product! Then Schif goes through scenarios that explain why the Chiefs can win and why the Eagles can win. Is this game really a toss-up? Vegas seems to think so.Flip Em & Pick 'Em is closer than ever before with one measly point separating our hosts. The coin toss is so important on this one. But do they want to win? Tune in to see the final pick of the 2024 season. The next time the guys are on, we'll know who the champions are. The Pro Bowl is in the books! And the guys said absolutely nothing about it. That's how little impact that whole debacle has on Jon and Schif. Schif does, however have updates for us all. Pete Carroll is employed, Kellen Moore is reportedly being punchable. The Cowboys are weird. Justin Tucker might be a predator. There's a lot to unpack as we prepare for the big game. The Conference Championship Round is in the books! That's right ladies and gentlemen, Super Bowl LIX is now officially decided. The Kansas City Chiefs will try and make history, while the Philadelphia Eagles will try to avenge their loss from two years ago.The storylines will be aplenty until that game, but we had quite the eventful championship round. The first game began with a boom. The Eagles shot out of a cannon and never looked back. The game was competitive for a bit, but the outmatched Commanders didn't have what it took to win on this day. The better team won, and Washington has nothing to hang its head about. Makes you wonder what a Detroit/Philly game would have been like. The guys were impressed by Saquon Barkley, who looks like a man on a mission right now.The second game provided both amazing highlights and an air of inevitability. The Chiefs had too much for the game Bills. Kansas City seems to be peaking right when it's time. They have officially beaten every team they've faced this season. It's on to the Super Bowl. Many have grown tired of this team that seems to be in full-on dynasty mode. Our guys don't have that fatigue just yet. They explain why.Listen in for MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck recipients. There's no need for scariest teams since there are only two left! The Championship Round is upon us!They guys are back to discuss the final round before the Super Bowl! That's right, the winners of these games will be one win away from hoisting the Lombardi trophy.First things first, Schif has some updates from around the league. Teams are trying to fill their coaching vacancies before the offseason really kicks into gear. One coach (Hi Liam!) is making it pretty awkward and that alone gives Jonathan some misgivings about how Coach Coen will be as a leader.Other teams (Hi Cowboys!) are still making quite puzzling moves. Of course, the dust will eventually settle, but some teams are happy (Hi Bears and Jets!) to know that they are ready to begin their next regime. Schif will likely win the playoff version of Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em, but YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME, so Jon is still going to give it a shot. The coin toss matters more than ever, so tune in to see who will win. The guys give their reasoning behind their picks and childish asterisks. It's another fun episode. The Divisional Round is in the books! The guys link up with Jon fresh off a trip from Vegas after a wild weekend of Divisional Round games. We're down to the final four teams and the guys are here for it all.Listen in as Schif details the sadness we all felt for the unexpected exit (Bye Lions) which berthed a new underdog darling team (Hi Commanders!). The Eagles pulled a victory out, but the Rams weren't going out without a fight. Is Jalen Hurts going to be able to pull off another championship run after a subpar performance? Should the Bills be worried about Josh Allen's performance, or should they be bolstered by the fact that they beat a good Ravens team (or did they beat themselves?) and didn't need Allen to put on his cape? The guys also hand out MVP, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck awards. The Playoffs are upon us!Congrats to your team if they made the cut. If you're like Jon and Schif, then better luck next year. But too much is going on for our guys to sulk in their post-season sadness. The playoffs are right around the corner and some good games are on the horizon. Games that will ultimately determine this season's champion.First and foremost, "Black Monday" has passed, and three coaches got the axe. Ironically, the two Black coaches got fired before and after the darkly named day. Jon doesn't think that's by chance. There are plenty of candidates for the five coachless teams. All of them are already kicking tires. One team (Hi Dallas!) doesn't want anyone near their unsigned coach just yet. Odd behavior is no new thing coming out of that organization, so the guys keep it moving. Some key injuries make things tougher for some of the remaining teams. One team (Hi Packers!) maybe could have avoided two issues.Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em has moved into playoff mode with each round counting for more points. So you're saying Schif has a chance?! That all depends on the coin flip. Will luck be on Schif's side? The 2024 Regular Season is in the books! The guys get together and mourn their teams' lack of playoff berth as well as break down the week 18 action and consequences. Developments are already underway as one coach has been fired, and another defended by his owner. There are playoff games and a hectic offseason for teams to look forward to. Week 18 is upon us!The final week of the NFL season is full of uncertainty as always. There are mismatches aplenty as well as best player rest going on. Who the hell knows what's in store for us? The league is well aware of the lackluster effort that we're all in for and has tried to schedule around it, with the marquee matchup being the Vikings vs Lions on Sunday night. That doesn't excuse the guys from making Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em picks. Jonathan has all but clinched the regular season (no surprise there), but the game is still up for grabs for Schif with playoff games being worth more points. The guys are prepared to make their final picks. Before that, we get a recap on how they brought in the New Year (fog and alcohol, baby!) and how Jonathan is now caught up in a new genre of entertainment that could be publicly embarrassing. Week 17 is in the books! The guys go through the meaningful action that have shaped both playoff races into their current state. There are a few things left to be decided thanks to some teams faltering (Hi Broncos and Colts!) and some teams with glimmers of hope (Hi Dolphins and Bengals!)There are plenty of questions that will soon be answered. Like will Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen or Saquan Barkley win the MVP award for the season. Who do the guys think should get it? Are there any interim coaches that might stick around for next season? What philosophy should teams (Hi Saints and Giants!) take going into the offseason? Are we taking top coaches for granted by not naming them coach of the year? Have Reid and Tomlin earned consideration? How influential is Sean McVay? What about his coaching style has made his ecosystem so effective in recent years? The guys discuss the actual games as well, with some fun games mixed into some duds. The Vikings look like the real deal, but they will now have some offseason drama with Sam Darnold kicking ass as he has. The Packers have nothing to hang their heads about, but what about the Lions giving up 35 points to the injury-depleted 49ers? Are there chinks in their armor? Are the Dolphins and Falcons staying in the hunt just to torture our hosts? So many questions!Tune in to find out the week's MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned, Speck Recipients and Scariest Teams. Week 16 is in the books! The guys are happy that both of their teams won, though Jon wants the hope to end. Things fell into place as we lead into the Christmas week. The guys will be hanging out with family and friends during the holiday festivities, so this action-packed episode will react and predict. The episode begins with a recap of the relevant matchups, as many teams are still in the playoff hunt. Losses by the Broncos, Seahawks, Bucs and Eagles can change the playoff landscape big time. It may be too late for some teams (Hi Bengals!), but there is still some outside hope if things fall into place. That's why they play the games. The Chiefs and Lions still look like front-runners for a Super Bowl showdown, with great performances by both of them. But don't let that distract you from what the Ravens are doing at this time. And was Jon correct about the Steelers peaking too early? Their upcoming matchup against the one-loss Chiefs will tell us a lot. This episode packs in week 16 MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Recipients, as well as week 17 Sexiest Matchups and Upsets of the Week. Tune in for all the tea! Merry Christmas from SveNFL! Week 16 is upon us!The guys begin by discussing some injuries and recapping the Monday Night action. Schif isn't that happy about his Falcons' performance. But how happy is he about Cousins being benched? Is the season over? Is Penix the hope for 2024? There are some other big changes that the guys discuss as well. Then the guys go on to Flip Em and Pick Em where Jon is still well ahead of Schif. Are there upsets out there to help Schif catch up? Week 15 is in the books!Jon's Dolphins have finally put him out of his misery with a loss. Now it's time to move on to another team to root for with the playoffs around the corner. What team is he interested in rooting for? Schif still has hope, but the Monday night game isn't decided with his Falcons yet. Fingers still crossed! The guys have, however been able to cash in on some good bets with a week 15 that went as they predicted. At least there's that. Some other games were played over the weekend and the action was there. One team (Hi Panthers!) performed as they should have, though they were somehow predicted to have a better showing than our guys predicted/expected in their loss to the obviously better Cowboys. The Rams and 49ers underwhelmed, while the Bills and Lions put on a show that we all were waiting for (and betting on in this case). Josh "Solid Gold" Allen delivered yet again in a performance that strengthened his MVP bid (as the NFL wants, according to Jonathan). Again, there were some unfortunate injuries (get well soon Chubb!) and some returns to greatness (Hi Lamar!) that rounded out a fun week that gave the guys a lot to talk about. Week 15 is upon us!The guys get together and begin by discussing the Monday Night Football game that won them some money (follow their bets on Patreon). That game went as they expected, but unfortunately prematurely ended a promising player's season. We wish a speedy recovery to Overshown. Then they update on the INSANE news that Bill Belichick will be taking over the UNC football program which extends the terror that he has rained upon Jon since the Tom Brady era began. Great! Then on to some NFL talk. Schif has some injury updates and some fun league tidbits, including a cool Green Bay Packers Fan Airbnb setup that the guys are in love with. Then on to the playoff picture. The guys break down the teams that are in, out and on the fence and discuss how they think it will all play out. Schif finally won a Flip Em & Pick Em in week 14. Can he get a streak going? He called the coin flip, but who won? Some upsets may happen as the guys disagree big time on some games. Week 14 is in the books! The guys get together and discuss the action from an up-and-down weekend. Some games were barn-burners (Hi Rams/Bills) while others were snoozefests (Hi Saints/Giants). Some quarterbacks shifted the narratives (Hi Darnold), while others are causing fans to ask for a change (Hi Cousins). It all began on Thursday with an instant classic of a game, with the Lions and Packers going at it. It ended with another division rivalry, with the Chiefs and Chargers. Both games came down to the wire, and the guys are here for that kind of carrying on. Jon was stressed out by his teams narrow victory over their rival Jets. Schif was let down, yet again, by his Falcons. Week 14 is upon us!The guys begin by discussing the Monday night game where we all got to take part in the Jameis Winston experience. Too bad for the Browns, Jameis Jameised one too many times and they lost to the vulnerable Broncos. Then Schif updates us all on the Trevor Lawrence situation and all things relative to that. After the news it's that game we all know and love...Jon has a big lead on Schif (for now) in Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em. Week 13 is in the books!Jon is bummed again after a tough Thanksgiving weekend for Miami sports fans. One thing that was able to keep his spirits up was the Thanksgiving Dinner party that he and Schif enjoyed on Saturday. That was one for the ages. The Thanksgiving games were "meh" with one great game of the three. One game cost Matt Eberflus his job (which the guys said he shouldn't have had anyway, but let's move on). The Chiefs squeaked past another bad team, leaving the guys worried... or not. Are they going to peak when the time is right? Or do they just get benefit of the doubt because they're the current dynasty? The Sunday/Monday games were up and down with teams causing heartbreak to their fans (hi Falcons and Jets!). Schif doubled down on his willingness to trade away Cousins for Mayfield (the best in the game, according to Jon). Mayfield did gut his team to another victory, as both Jon and Schif's teams slide towards early exits before the playoffs (PLAYOFFS? Don't talk about playoffs...).Some teams came out winning in ways they didn't show us before (hi Steelers!), as we get closer to that final tournament that we all love.Listen in for the week's MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Scariest Teams.Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A JobSupport this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. Week 12 is in the books! It was an eventful week that included quite a few upsets and closer matchups than anyone predicted. The Chiefs, for instance, were a few plays from getting bounced by the Panthers. The lowly Cowboys beat the Commanders in a crazy game that shouldn't have been as close as the final score. The Texans have a bit of soul-searching to do after a head-scratching loss to the Titans. The mighty Steelers were knocked down a few pegs by the Browns in a true AFC North classic game that Schif aptly describes as the perfect story for a film.Spoiler season is already in full effect, according to Schif, who begins this episode with the news of Daniel Jones being set free by the hapless New York Giants front office. Jon thinks that front office is a pandering joke. He breaks it down for you. Some teams handled their business (Hello Broncos, Dolphins, Bucs, Packers and Lions) in week 12. Week 11 is in the books! The guys are back to discuss maybe the best week of NFL thus far this season! At least Jonathan thinks so. His Dolphins pulled off another victory while Schif is bummed about his Falcons. The episode kicks off with a discussion about the Tyson/Paul spectacle and it's Netflix Live NFL game implications. Schif is concerned about a possible fan revolt, while Jonathan has a positive spin on why it just might work. Then the guys delve into this weeks action. They discuss how the Lions look prime for a Super Bowl run, how Mike Tomlin looks like the best coach in the league, while Kyle Shanahan might not be fit for the gig after all, how the Jets are the laughing stock of the league, while the Chargers may be ahead of schedule as this podcast predicted they would be. The Bills took down the Chiefs, but haven't we seen this movie before? Why don't announcers learn that pumping up a player before he's actually ready for the spotlight (*cough* Drake Maye) is never a good idea? They also check out a video of a Speck recipient honorable mention based on one play and one play only. Listen in for the week's MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and actual Speck Recipients. Week 11 is upon us!That's right folks, the season is winding down. Teams are already preparing for next year. That includes firing some key personnel for other personnel that happen to have that DAWG in them (Hi Bears!) and demoting some starting quarterbacks to see what the future might hold (Hi Colts!). This brings out the SveNFL News Siren at the beginning of the episode. You know when that siren rings, some things are shaking up. What other shake-ups are bound to happen? Is Jacksonville in for some imminent changes? How about Vegas or Dallas? The guys go through it all. Then Schif flips the American quarter and Jon calls it in the air. Jon has the lead in the season's Flip 'Em & Pick 'Em thus far. That leads Schif to go for an upset in order to get a little closer. What potential upsets are out there? With a top-heavy league, there's a lot of potential for upsets, but the bad teams are in pretty bad shape. Coaches have been fired and the bumps may be gone (Hi Saints!). Week 10 is in the books! The guys almost had a full losing sports week if not for the Dolphins besting the Rams on Monday night. So needless to say, this episode features a happy Jonathan. Week 10 was a fun one that featured plenty of drama and plenty of low-scoring games. The Saints continued the legend of the "Fired Coach Bump" as they beat the obviously better-on-paper Falcons. Speaking of Falcons, the guys identified the biggest mythical Atlanta fan this episode! The Chiefs squeaked one out to remain undefeated. Is it a sign of an overrated team, or a balanced one? The Lions pulled off a legendary comeback despite one of Goff's worst performances ever. What does this mean for the Lions? The Texans? The AFC has a lot of bad records this season. That means a lot of teams have hope. The NFC, on the other hand, has a lot of strength at the top of the standings. Week 7 is in the books!Another action-packed week is behind us and the guys begin by licking their wounds after Dolphins and Falcons losses. By licking their wounds, we mean focusing on NCAA Football, as both the Bulldogs and Hurricanes are in the top 10. So there's that. However, on the NFL front, some teams are looking good. In one surprising case, an entire division is looking good (shout out to the NFC North). Some teams look ready to pack it up for the season. Expect some roster moves and asset acquiring in the near future. The guys give their thoughts on the Deshaun Watson injury that the Cleveland Browns must be a tiny bit relieved by, as they won't have to make a very difficult decision YET, regarding their struggling, but outrageously expensive quarterback. What should they do? Are we allowed to say we're happy about an injury? Will Browns fans chanting "You deserve it!" while Watson is being carted off result in him never playing for them again? What team would take him on now? All of those questions are pondered in this episode as well as some answers to the weeks MVP, Trash, Shit got learned, who gets some speck and scariest teams. Sound the alarms and break out the sirens! It's time for another SveNFL Emergency Pod! We suspected this might be necessary due to some news that felt like it was bound to happen. Davante Adams has been unhappy in the land of business decisions, so he had demanded a trade. With Derek Carr no longer an option, it seemed inevitable that Adams would want a reunion with his other old pal, Mister A-A-RON himself. Now the inevitable has happened, as the Jets and Raiders have come to terms with a trade for a conditional third round pick (highest value at second round). This is huge news, but is this a good idea? The Jets are coming off of another loss, have a divided locker room, interim coach and a quarterback that seems to be running the shots despite not likely being a Jet for more than this and next year. The guys delve into this trade and the other moves that have happened since the last episode. Tune in for all the tea. SveNFL will be back as soon as there are more developments. Enjoy! Week 7 is upon us!The guys pull out their magic 8 balls and try to perfectly predict (again) the results of the week's games. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. This week proves to be tougher than last week with many even matchups scheduled. A lot of results look like they will be tossups. The drama is definitely there, with Sean Payton coming to the city that he brought a ring to (only to abandon before his contract ended) in 2009. His new Broncos are underdogs in what could be a revenge game that could possibly get the Payton weight off of Dennis Allen's shoulders. The Texans/Packers, Lions/Vikings and Chiefs/49ers all look like compelling matchups, while the Giants/Eagles is a divisional matchup AND revenge game with Saquon Barkley taking on his former team that seems to be overmatched on paper, but scrappy in general. Tune in for all the takes as well as the Sexiest Matchup, Upsets of the Week and Bold Predictions.Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A JobSupport this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. Week 6 is in the books! For the first time ever, the Flip Em Pick 'Em picks were 100% correct! That's right, the guys called each game correctly, but somehow never thought to bet the picks, so they are still poor and will continue podcasting (which is a silver lining). In more good news, neither of their teams lost (Dolphins were on a bye), though the Falcons did give a bit of a scare. The boys are happy. By the boys, we don't mean the Cowboys, who managed a paltry nine points in a blowout loss to the ever-impressive Lions. On that note, thoughts and positive vibes go out to a pod favorite Aiden Hutchinson who went down with a horrific injury. Bad teams kept bad teaming in week 6, with favorites handling their business for once. A week of no upsets makes us think we've got our finger on the pulse of the league. Some standout performances were Baker Mayfield (Jon's new boo), Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Derrick Henry and A.J Brown. There's room for improvement for the Cowboys, Browns and Cardinals, among others. The guys dig right in with their takes. Stay tuned in to find out the MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned, Speck Recipients and Scariest teams. The boys are back with another emergency podcast episode!Cue the sirens because the first coach fired is official. Robert Saleh is no longer at the helm of the New York Jets. Was this a good decision? His record of 20-36 is pretty bad, but you kinda know what he is as a coach. It can be argued that he overachieved last season considering the circumstances. Was this a bad move by owner Woody Johnson? Did Aaron Rodgers cause this? Will Saleh be okay? Will the Jets? Is this interim coach (Ulbrich) going to swoop in and be the first interim coach to win the Super Bowl? There are so many questions that our guys are ready to answer. Tune in for all of the tea and opinions. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Week 6 is upon us!This season has officially moved into the second quarter and the guys now have a feel (or think they do) for what each team will bring going forward. The playoff race is heating up and this week looks to be a pivotal one. The first post-bye week games are underway this week, with the Eagles and Lions primed to play for good standing in their respective divisions. The Bengals appear to be set to make a run after a disappointing first quarter of the season. Can they really make a playoff run in the strong AFC? The Chargers haven't made much of a fuss this year, but maybe that quiet team is prime to make a move in the next few weeks. The Dolphins will limp into their much-needed bye week, but will the rest of the AFC pull away from them? Will the Browns wisen up and part ways with Deshaun Watson? Are the Commanders going to keep cruising like this, or is it time for a wakeup call? So many questions that our boys think they have answers to.Flip Em & Pick Em is dead even right now. Who will make the better picks this week? Are any upsets going to be chosen? How about petty asterisks? The picks are in! The guys finish up with their Sexiest Matchups, Upsets of the Week and Bold Predictions. Week 5 is in the books!Jon and Schif are happy after their teams got victories, though Jon is still worried about his Dolphins. There were a few upsets again this week that the guys discuss, as well as some outcomes that leave some fan bases pretty worried. The Deshaun Watson situation is getting worse and worse. The Vikings somehow keep winning just like the undefeated Chiefs. The Ravens are still impressive, though they only squeaked out a victory over the Bengals, who must be just about ready to hit the panic button. The Bears are coming into form... or? The Panthers might not be the best barometer, but Caleb looked well worth his price in his best game yet. The Bucs/Falcons game delivered maybe the best action of the week, with both quarterbacks looking like top 5 in the NFC.The guys close with their MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Awards, as well as reveal their most dangerous teams.Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A JobSupport this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. Davante Adams made the ultimate business decision and has reportedly requested a trade from the Raiders. Does this solidify him as a WR diva? The media and Adams seem to want a reunion with Aaron Rodgers, but is that the best move for him? The guys go through all of the possibilities and what it means for the future of Adams, the Raiders and whatever team decides to get in on this. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. Week 5 is upon us!The guys are back to discuss all things NFL week 5. There's not much news, so they get right to the picks. Flip Em & Pick Em is as close as ever, so the guys had better pick right! Tune in to see who they pick to win and what upsets do they predict are on the horizon. They cap off the episodes with superlatives, as always. Sexiest Matchups, Upsets of the Week, Bold Predictions and more are abound in this fun episode of SveNFL. Week 4 is in the books! The guys are still reeling from the handful of upsets and surprises. Jon is sad about his team and hopeful that they can have a real offense some time before 2025. Schif has lost some years off of his life thanks to the roller coaster that is the Atlanta Falcons. There are plenty of questions covered in this episode. Who is this year's CJ Stroud? What does Justin Fields' performance suggest about Caleb Williams? Can Deshaun Watson get benched? Is it over for Doug Pederson? Are the Ravens that good, or the Bills that bad? Can Jon be happier about anything than he is about the Jets' week 4 performance? Tune in for the MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and scariest teams. Week 4 is upon us!Time flies and we now know more about each team. This means picks will be easier to make, no? Well, not according to our guys Jon and Schif, who are still trying to make sense of this season that has produced undefeated Vikings and Steelers teams, while also producing a winless Jaguars team and a 1-2 Niners outfit. Schif rattles through the latest news and injuries, then the guys get to work on picks. Jon has the Flip Em & Pick Em lead (BARELY!), but Schif wins the coin toss and the predictions begin. Check out who your favorite NFL analysts think will win this week and why. Tune in to find out the Sexiest Matchups, Upsets of the Week and Bold Predictions. It's another fun episode that naturally includes mention of hip drop tackles, bad fines, eye in the sky referee ideas, alligator fights and more! Saints fans get a special shout out as well. ;) Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A Job Support this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. Week 3 is in the books!Jon and Schif had bad Sundays, as both of their teams lost, but they are here nonetheless to talk about the other games. There were plenty more upsets this week, with every remaining person in the eliminator league losing this weekend. That was quick! Jon, however, wants you and the world to know that he is #1 in the Pigskin Pickem group. There are some things to worry about coming out of week 3. Is Doug Peterson going to remain employed throughout the season? Are the Chiefs sleepwalking their way to an eventual championship? Is Caleb Williams in a bad fit? Is there a chance that Bryce Young will one day be a great quarterback? Are the Steelers and Vikings for real? The guys discuss it all.Don't miss their MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Recipients!Music: Nils Landgren Funk Unit - Get Serious, Get A JobSupport this podcast at www.patreon.com/svenfl Hosted on Acast. Week 3 is upon us!As always, Schif brings the news and updates. The injury bug has hit some teams (Hi Rams) harder than others, so we hope for healthier times for everyone's team. Jon is still reeling from the potential loss (maybe even forever) of Tua Tagovailoa, but apparently Tua plans to return to the game he loves. The guys have a serious discussion about that decision and the media grandstanding surrounding it. Does the NFL care? Do the pundits care? Fans? What really matters when it comes to player safety? How does it relate to other passions that we all have as humans? It's a discussion that you won't want to miss. Then Schif flips and Jon decides how the picks will go for this week's games. Can Jon catch up to Schif's early season lead in the game? Listen in for the picks as well as Sexiest Matchups, Upsets and Bold Predictions. Week 2 is in the books! The guys are back and Jon was in a slump all weekend after the Tua concussion. Thankfully, there were other games and the sport of football cheered him up. Schif was victorious in Flip Em & Pick Em with Jon getting slaughtered on the numerous upsets.Listen in for the week's MVPs, Trash, Shit Got Learned, Speck Recipients and more. Week 2 is upon us!It's time for us all to get to know the teams a little better. Our guys are ready to predict all things NFL in this episode, but first Schif updates Jon on the news. Final deals are getting done as the players tell teams to bring them their straight cash homie. Tyreek Hill's incident is available for the world to see now that Miami-Dade has released the bodycam footage, which would seem to reveal the same issues to everyone, but that's not the case. Apparently the NFL hasn't solved racism after all. Jon has a slight lead in Flip Em & Pick Em, so Schif calls the coin toss and tries to catch up. Check out who the guys think will win this week's slate of games. Listen in to find out the Sexiest Matchups, Upsets of the Week and Bold Predictions. It's another fun episode of SveNFL. Week 1 is in the books! The first weekend of football is now over and boy are the guys excited! They were very close to a full football cumshot, but the Falcons let Schif down. Jon almost had a bad Sunday as well, but his team pulled through in the end. Many of the predictions came true, with only three picks being guessed incorrectly in Flip Em & Pick Em. Jon leads Schif 9-7, but the season is mighty young. The action was there, with some great games throughout the weekend. The Rams and Lions put on a show. The Eagles beat a game Packers team. The Chiefs seem to be gearing up for more dominance, while the Panthers and Giants may well be the bottom of the barrel this year. Rookie quarterback debuts (Williams, Nix and Daniels) left a bit on the bone, while second year players (Stroud, Levis, Young and Richardson) had mixed results. There were some new names that stood out and some tried and true veterans that appear to be primed to return to glory. It was week one, so the guys won't jump to conclusions, but they have to hand out awards.Listen in to hear the week's MVP, Trash, Shit Got Learned and Speck Gainers.
