Pittsburgh Sports Memories

Never has a player fit so perfectly with the identity of his team and the city he represented as Jerome Bettis. His smash-mouth style and gregarious personality made him one of the city's favorites. He was also beloved by his teammates—so much so that it became a rallying cry during their Super Bowl run. The Bus's final stop was Super Bowl XL, which ended in storybook fashion, with him winning the Lombardi Trophy and riding off into the sunset.Get our Steelers-Ravens book here! The World Cup trophy is making a stop nearby, and instead of calmly appreciating a global symbol of athletic greatness, The Rizzuto Show does what it does best—turns it into a full-blown debate about trophies, prestige, and whether a plate somehow qualifies as a championship prize. We get into it: What actually is the most famous trophy in the world? Is it the FIFA World Cup? The Stanley Cup? The Lombardi Trophy? Or are we all just ignoring the fact that Wimbledon hands out what looks like a very fancy serving dish? Things get oddly heated for a topic nobody was prepared to defend, and somehow we end up debating whether you could realistically serve hot dogs on a championship plate. (Spoiler: someone would absolutely try.)Then we pivot into one of the most ridiculous and unexpectedly competitive games we've played in a while: Gay Bar or Steakhouse. The premise is simple—guess whether a business name belongs to a steakhouse or a gay bar. The execution? Completely unhinged. Contestants come in confident, streaks build, and then everything falls apart the moment Moon becomes the official lifeline. And yes, Moon tries his best. But let's just say his track record in this game is… generous at best. From “Peckers” to “Fun Hog Ranch,” the names alone are enough to derail logic, and the guesses somehow get worse the more confident everyone becomes. It's a perfect storm of bad instincts, overthinking, and questionable branding decisions across America. This comedy podcast episode is packed with everything you expect from a daily comedy show—random debates, hilarious fails, audience interaction, and just enough chaos to make you question how we ever stay on schedule. Whether you're here for the weird news energy, the pop culture nonsense, or just to hear grown adults argue about trophies and restaurant names, this comedy podcast delivers. If you're into a comedy podcast that doesn't take itself seriously but somehow keeps you hooked the entire time, congratulations—you've found your people.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This funny podcast episode kicks off with what should have been a simple, respectable conversation: the World Cup trophy is coming to St. Louis. Big deal, right? A global icon, millions of fans, prestige, history… and within minutes, the show derails into a full-blown argument about what the most famous trophy in the world actually is.Is it the Stanley Cup? The Lombardi Trophy? The Oscars? Or—somehow—a decorative plate from Wimbledon? The crew breaks it all down with the confidence of people who absolutely did not prepare for this conversation. There's debate, there's confusion, and there's a surprising amount of passion about dishware. But just when you think things can't get more ridiculous, we introduce a game that turns this funny podcast into full chaos: “Gay Bar or Steakhouse.” Real places. Real names. Zero context. Contestants call in and try to guess whether they're about to walk into a ribeye dinner… or something a little more fabulous. And here's the problem—these names are wildly misleading. The guesses get worse, the confidence gets higher, and Moon somehow becomes the most trusted (and most concerning) expert in the room. By the end, you'll be questioning everything you thought you knew about restaurant naming conventions. This funny podcast episode is peak Rizz Show: unpredictable, sarcastic, slightly unhinged, and packed with moments that make you laugh and immediately wonder why you're laughing. It's a daily comedy show that turns a global sports moment into a debate about plates… and then into a game that no one is truly prepared for.If you're here for a funny podcast that doesn't take itself seriously (and occasionally questions reality), you're in the right place.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.CDC Warns Drug-Resistant Shigella Infections Are Rising in the U.S.Popular anxiety Xanax drug recalled nationwide: How to check if your prescription is includedOVERLAND QUIKTRIP TURNS LOCAL LOTTO PLAYER INTO INSTANT MILLIONAIREAkron man wins lottery twice in one day for $300,250It's Tax Day. Segment One: The Luka Special & The Contender Conversation The Los Angeles Lakers kept the momentum rolling on Thursday night with a high-octane 142–130 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Grant reacts to a truly historic performance from Luka Dončić, who exploded for 51 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, marking his first 50-point game since joining the Purple and Gold. Grant argues that despite the early-season noise, the Lakers (now 41–25) must be viewed as legitimate title contenders. The Return of the King: LeBron James looked fresh in his return from a three-game injury absence, chipping in 18 points and allowing the offense to breathe. The Support System: With Austin Reaves dropping 30 and Deandre Ayton notchng his 20th double-double, Grant breaks down how the Lakers' depth is finally matching their star power. Standings Watch: With this win, the Lakers have leapfrogged the Rockets for the 3rd seed in the West. Grant explains why their current four-game win streak is a warning shot to the rest of the league. Segment Two: The "KC Rams" Secondary Speaks We head over to Woodland Hills for the introductory press conference of the Rams' two biggest defensive acquisitions: All-Pro Trent McDuffie and cornerback Jaylen Watson. The two former Chiefs teammates shared their excitement about reuniting in Los Angeles to fix a secondary that was the team's "Achilles heel" last season. Key Quotes from the Podium: Trent McDuffie: "I feel like I genuinely understood what it takes to build a Super Bowl team... bringing me in, the end goal is the Lombardi Trophy. Everything we can do to bring it back to this city is what I'm going to do." Jaylen Watson: On the "full-circle" moment of playing with McDuffie again: "His strengths are short-area quickness and small, shifty guys, my strengths are guarding the bigger receivers, so we should be pretty diverse... we should be able to match up well against a lot of different teams." “They would have had to cut my foot off before I didn't play in Super Bowl.” Nick Emmanwori  They say Defense wins championships, and the Seattle Seahawks backed that statement up with one of the fiercest units! Keeping up Pivot tradition, we travled to the home of the world champions post Super Bowl to sit down with Nick Emmanwori, the Seattle Seahawks' rookie safety who defied the odds and finished his first NFL season on top of the league. Nick takes us inside an unforgettable year — from his Nigerian roots to being selected as the 35th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, to becoming an anchor of Seattle's defense and a key contributor to their championship run.  We get into the biggest question looming Super Bowl week when a video of Nick surfaced not being able to walk as he opens up on the ankle injury scare heard round the football world as he shares missing the biggest game of his life was never an option and what he did to push through the unknown to stay locked in mentally and physically to help his team win the Lombardi. He takes Ryan, Channing and Fred into the locker room mentality to paint a picture of what Seattle truly built the past year and why he trusts a repeat is not off the table, recognizing all the pieces that need too fall in place to go back to back. Beyond the big game, we dive deep into the ups and downs of his rookie campaign, falling to the second round of draft and rebounding with the early-season growth that earned him Defensive Rookie of the Year buzz and how he battled adversity to find his confidence on the biggest stages. Relying on veteran leadership, Seattle's locker room bonded together on a mission to never let outside noise affect the team goal which created the NFL's No. 1 ranked defense, known as the "Dark side". He opens up about his bond with head coach Mike Macdonald and what he had to do to soak in all of the football knowledge to adapt to X & O schemes that elevated his play. Nick also opens up about the bond with Sam Darnold, whose own redemption arc culminated in a sturdy Super Bowl performance — proving that heart and leadership can outweigh the critics. The guys reflect on resilience, leadership, and the lessons learned in a season that none of his team will ever forget. And we couldn't not ask about the women in his life, from his mom's viral interview Super Bowl week to Dawn Stalely wearing his jersey to his girlfriend, Raven Johnson's unconditional support...this conversation covers it all. From draft dreams to the Lombardi Trophy, this is the inside story of a rookie who refused to be ordinary and a team that rewrote the championship narrative. The Seattle Seahawks are heading to the Super Bowl after a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field. Sam Darnold came up big when it mattered most, connecting with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for touchdown before halftime after taking a crushing hit. Kenneth Walker III punched in the opening score, and the offense executed a masterful five-minute drive that helped close out the game. The defense came up big on a critical fourth-and-four stop, with Julian Love and DeMarcus Lawrence dropping into coverage to stuff the Rams attempt—a play Sean McVay dismissed as "luck" in his post-game comments. Riq Woolen's costly taunting penalty on third down helped give the Rams an opening, leading to an immediate Puka Nacua touchdown. Cooper Kupp proved instrumental in the Seahawks' success, making key third-down conversions against his former team after the Rams organization reportedly urged other teams to lowball him in free agency (which we later cover in the Do Better segment). In the second half of the show, we look ahead to Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots. The Seahawks face a Drake Maye-led offense that excels under pressure but lacks some of the firepower of previous opponents. The franchise has a chance to exorcise demons from Super Bowl XLIX and claim the Lombardi Trophy on the 49ers' home turf in Santa Clara, completing one of the most unexpected and satisfying seasons in recent memory.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners.
