Let's talk about why it's actually NOT a “positive” thing to be all “light and love” always. Let's discuss why having mottos like “kindness is cool” and “just be positive” are limiting and superficial. Let's take a deep dive into the problematic nature of toxic positivity and how what we REALLY need is realness. And truth. xx, TTT.
Hi Trendsetters! In this episode, I discuss why intentions matter. I talk about reading subtext when someone is talking to you and how the subtext tells you what you really need to know. We need to be paying more attention to intentions. And in this episode, I tell you why.

In this episode, I talk about the nuances of kindness and how we need to look at the motivations behind someones behavior to determine whether it's actually genuine. I also talk about the overuse of the words “mean” and “nice” and how they're completely outdated and unhelpful ways to categorize people based on whether or not we like or agree with them. Let's dive deeper into what kindness REALLY entails, my trendsetters!

Hi Trendsetters! I'm thrilled to bring to you this episode all about the Enneagram, a personality typology that was popularized in the US in the 1970's and had a resurgence in exposure and popularity over the pandemic. In this episode, I bring to you a fellow therapist from NYC, Drew Newkirk, who not only is an expert in the Enneagram but is the exact same type as myself! (4w3 sexual subtype). I found Drew's impressive Enneagram youtube channel when devouring material on the subject over the pandemic, so I knew he would be the perfect guest to bring on to help introduce the Enneagram to all of you. As you will see in this episode, Drew is extremely well-versed in all things Enneagram. He discusses what exactly it is (no, it's not a pentagram), how it came to be, gives us a brief overview on each of the subtypes, discusses what is meant by the "subtypes" and "wings," and furthermore really delves into why the Enneagram is such a beneficial tool in the journey of self-discovery. Drew shares some of his personal learnings on the Enneagram and how it has helped him on his own journey, and additionally how he uses the Enneagram in his work with his patients within his private practice. So, why DO people post a lot of pictures of themselves on social media? I think we need to talk about it. Because, well, we make a lot of assumptions about it and these assumptions are oftentimes way off base. Is everyone that posts pictures of themselves conceited and begging for attention? Or are we missing something when we make these immediate judgments? Let's break it down in this episode.

In this episode, I talk about this quote I posted today: “If you don't like me, it's because I don't want you to.” I discuss why it might be that you don't want someone to like you and what it means if you're someone who cares about everyone liking them. I talk about why you should think twice before saying you don't like someone because you just may not be getting the full/accurate picture. And remember, if you don't like someone, chances are they may not have wanted you to like them anyway. Enjoy!!

Let's talk social norms in this post-pandemic world we currently inhabit. Should we just blindly accept the same old social norms we once did? The world has changed immensely and we've all had a long time out to delve inward and really consider ourselves, our boundaries and what we want out of life. So why shouldn't we, upon re-integration into society, be questioning certain aspects of how our society operates? Well, in this episode, I start a discussion about certain social norms that I think we ought to call into question. With that said, let's just dive in!
