This episode we sit down with Black Ceasar and learn more about his new book "Lend Me Your Ears", how he approached the project and what all he talks about in it! Lend me your ears is a collection of spiritual hymnals composed and performed through spoken word poetry. This book is in many ways a story of my life and experiences with the world around me. Poetry found me at a time life gave me no stones left to turn and I was forced to reflect on my interactions with humanity. These lessons have opened doors to avenues only God and my prayers could have granted access too. “Poetry Saved Me” is a way of life and I pray these poems resonate in the hearts of the masses. I Becky have lots of flaws, lots of personal issues I haven’t dealt with. Growing up seeing drinking as a fun thing, learning as I got older it can be a bad thing. Sometimes I get very dark and I start to talk about dark things and then I wake up as if nothing happened. I will say to be honest I personally love the idea of leaving as an easy solution but I also know this ain’t the way. Partnered by: UW has partnered with Inez Queen Water. Who is Inez Queen Water?
