This podcast Was created to keep you informed on all the latest teamster Local 63 news. Why ”hot seat”? Because I ask the questions everyone else is thinking about but too afraid to ask. I cover the issues everyone is unwilling to discuss (openly).
If UPS thinks we won't strike because we are broke and starving thy have another thing coming. If they think they can divide us and cause division to sell out our part time TEAMSTERS brothers and sisters in LOCAL 63 and across the nation they are mistaken. We demand to stop Part-Time Poverty. Not only does every UPSer want a livable wage without working 72 hours a week; we want equal pay for all employees. Leo Lopez, a newly joined teamster talks about the division Cammack-Stewart has caused amongst the members. Tom Sierra a UPS business agent of Randy Cammack, told a group of new drivers “They should all be fired”. Despite the cold welcoming Leo is still a proud teamster supporting the Alonzo Villegas Slate because he know they truly want the members United for a more secure future.
Long time UPSers talk about their experiences with with the company and the union. How it is important to get involved and vote.
Vidal Gomez, a 23 year Teamster talks about how his representation became nonexistent and has been for years. Randy Cammack has treated the members as he puts it “ Bastard step child” while they continue promoting favoritism and nepotism within the union.Vidal supports the Alonzo-Villegas Slate because of their proven strong leadership and knows they will represent ALL teamsters!
A.J. Stoyanowski, long time teamster member and currentShop steward at ABF freight talks to us about hisexperiences; with Randy Cammack's the so called"proven leadership".The great leaders advice when presented with a “terrible” contract regards to losing their pension.Randy Cammack: "If you don't like it, get anotherjob!"A contract with 10% reduction of payRandy cammack: "If you don't like it, get another job!"Another 5% reduction 9 months later. Randy Cammack: "If you don't like it, get anotherjob!"$3 raise over 15 years at YRC is his “provenleadership” and his lack of compassion towards themembers are the reasons A. J. and so many others are supporting the Alonzo-Villegas slateNO MEMBER LEFT BEHIND!RIGHT SIDE RIGHT CHOICE!
Today on Vee's hot seat is a Jesus “ Chuy” Guiterrez, shop steward at Ralphs distribution pallet yard. Chuy has been on site since 2007 and has yet to see Cammack show his face up until this year for the election. Chuy and the other members of his department are fully supporting the Alonzo Villegas slate because he knows they can deliver. For years their department has been overlooked by Randy Cammack and Sam Stewart when it comes to pay, pension contributions and just plain respect. Tony and Romero always fought for them as business agents and in his words “the sky is the limit” once they get control of the local. Currently at Ralphs the business agent doesn't visit, doesn't show up to meetings and seems like he doesn't know how to do a good job or doesn't care to do a good job. Under Cammack's leadership this is acceptable because it's seen in a lot of barns. Reminder ballots will be in the mail September 16 100% anonymous. If you are being intimidated or harassed by business agents or the company please share your story and contact Vee's hot seat veeshotseat@gmail.com
Hear from the nominee for Vice President of the Alonzo Villegas slate “Gabriela Molina” as she explains what the vision is for “New Leadership” the movement going forward and why you need to vote Alonzo Villegas!
Diego Videlas is a proud Local 63 Teamster out of Ralph's Warehouse for over 20 years. He is a steward and talks about how “Ralph's” is not represented with strong leadership; that Cammack has left them with an unexperience Business Agent and with many revolving issues over the years and he is voting the Alonzo-Villegas slate.
Today on Vee's hot seat we are joined by Ramiro Alonzo as he discusses issues of our local campaign. It's disappointing the Cammack-Stewart and their supporters continue to harass and intimidate the voting membership instead of answering their questions. There has been no statements from the Cammack-Stewart slate as to their vision for local 63. Randy Cammack's failure to address issues, face the membership and enlighten us on their plans for the future leaves one to wonder… what exactly are their supporters voting for? Alonzo-Villegas continues to encourage peace and unity from both sides. We are all teamsters and should treat one another with respect. With nominations this 9/3 he encourages any Alonzo Villegas supporters who choose to attend to do so in a respectful and peaceful manner.
Shop steward Danny G. From T-Force sits in the hot seat today. Danny represented members alongside Ramiro Alonzo for years. Ramiro's honest, aggressive leadership is what being a teamster leader is all about. This is why Danny and all of T-Force support the Alonzo-Villegas Slate!
11 year Teamster Scott Wheeler is in the hot seat today discussing his experience as a shop steward and how Recent decisions by Randy Cammack have left the members in his barn with weak representation. BAs more worried about getting votes for Cammack-Stewart than representing the members properly has caused division amongst teamsters at Ralph's. Scott urges all listeners to get informed and vote for Alonzo-Villegas for strong leadership!
Ramiro Alonzo and Tony Villegas do what Randy Cammack and Sam Stewart refuse to do…..Face the members and answer their tough questions. They will put an end of voter intimidation, BAs not being held accountable for their actions and Wasted dues money are just a few topics we cover in this EpisodeThe member want a STRIKE-FUND , A/C in trucks and hubs and they are going to fight for what they deserveTime to vote for much needed change!Time to vote The Alonzo-Villegas slateBallots mailed out mid September!
Local 63 Teamsters out of UPS, Ontario Ca. Both ladies were part of the 97” strike. Yadi and Ashley talk about the importance of voting and share their experiences with the Cammack Steward slate and what types of intimidation they experienced.
Shop steward Gary Amaro continues to fight for seniority at Stater bros. Despite lack of support from his business agent and the Cammack Stewart slate. Seniority and contract violations are being ignored to get along with management and get votes from this benefiting from this. If you are union you know how sacred seniority is and to have it thrown aside for votes is disgusting but it's the same story we hear at many barns. This practice is causing division just to get votes for Cammack Stewart because they know the members have had enough and want change!
We interview Ron Almerez today, 30 year UPS driver, 12 year Local 63 trustee who has seen the Cammack Stewart slate putting themselves before the membership first hand. They are misusing the members union dues and most importantly the trust of our members for their own personal gain. The executive board is put together to make operational or financial decisons in the best interest for the membership. Randy Cammack and Sam Stewart Have been running the local more like a dictatorship with a “Whatever I say goes” culture instead of having meaningful discussions with his executive board. It is time for a much-needed change in our local and this election: Vote for a voice, Vote for a seat at the table, Vote for accountability.... Vote for Alonzo Villegas Slate
Individual food service Is a restaurant supply company based out of Bell, California. In this episode we interview the chief shop steward Chino and he tells us how Local 63 allowed to company to make changes in a contract after the employees voted no.After the 3rd vote their business agent, Carlos Barnett under the direction of Randy Cammack and Sam Stewart signed the contract; ignoring the members wishes to return to the negotiating table. The members at IFS are primarily Spanish speaking only and have told us that management disrespects and takes advantage of their lack of representation on a daily basis. This is not the first time we have heard of the Cammack-Stewart “proven leadership” while out campaigning. Too many barns are telling us the same stories of business agents, allowing the companies to break contracts and abuse teamsters under the leadership of Sam Stewart and Randy Cammack. Enough is enough!Vote Alonzo- Villegas this September!
Join Vee Flores as she interviews Gabriela Molina; Gabby is out of UPS Ontario, Ca. A teamster for local 63. She currently, is on the E board for Cammack - Stewart and she speaks about why she no longer supporting the current leadership Cammack - Stewart and how she was “voted out”. from being “President” of the Womens Caucus.
In this episode Ramiro and Tony address Cammack-Stewart's self proclaimed “Proven Leadership”. What has been proven is that they think it's ok to intimidate, extort, sexually harass, and lie to the members ansd make back-door deals for their own benefit. There are 1500 outstanding grievances at UPS alone! Why? Because Sam Stewart is in bed with UPS that's why! The contract he is trash talking is the same one we went around telling UPSers in 2018 to vote yes or they won't have a job. Alonzo -Villegas discuss their vision for the local and how things such as a strike fund and doing away with subcontracting where it exists. True leaders prepare their members!
Nannette Plascencia has been trying to organize her local Amazon building for the last two years. On today's podcast she talks with Romiro Alonzo about reaching out to local unions such as Teamsters Local 63 to help with her efforts and receive little to no help from the Cammack Stewart Slate in the recent months. Ramiro Alonzo Discusses with her his past experience organizing and how he is not going to wait until he wins the election to help her because he knows these corporate giants union busting tactics that could ultimately cost her her job.The biggest threat to the majority of our membership is Amazon! The Alonzo-Villegas Slate will work to organize non union companies while Cammack-Stewart only wants to LOOK like they are. Listen to this podcast for details!
Tony Villegas and Jerry Soltero, Ralph's steward, talk about changes needed in our current union leadership, Randy Cammack's lack of concern for the member's issues that continue to be ignored. The Alonzo-Villegas Slate is still extending their offer to a debate with any member of the opposing slate for rebuttal.
Meet Jeni Hosino and hear how she was part of organizing UNFI. How UNFI got their 1st and 2nd contract and who was behind closed doors. Why she is NOT voting Cammack. Why transparency is a good idea and why Local 63 should be held accountable with the members funds.
