Natalie Jones is a Clinical Nurse Educator.  Through her transformational leadership style, Jones is known for collaborating with inter-professional teams to develop learning organizations. One example is the implementation of the LOTUS Inter-professional ICU Bedside Rounding Tool, which resulted in positive patient outcomes of earlier extubations and decreased ICU length of stay. As a DNP candidate at Thomas Edison State University, Jones is invested in continuously updating policies and protocols to support evidence-based best practices in nursing and person-centered care.   In an adult medical intensive care unit, an inter-professional team shares a vision to support a patient and family-centered care model. In this study, a rounding tool was created to capture patient stories to address social determinants and work toward realistic and achievable goals at the point of care: the patient’s bedside. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, this model was challenged, as a no visitation policy was in place. A nurse champion was utilized to observe rounds and provide videoconferencing with patients and families to sustain the model. During the crisis, communication varied daily causing stress for the nursing staff. Natalie partnered with AIMeCast for this project to create a solution that improves communication and morale across the nursing community.

Have you ever thought about why you choose to listen to something?   Why do your ears perk up for certain sounds?  What peaks your interest?  What entices you to want to hear more?   Why are some sounds more soothing to listen to over others?   From birds chirping in the morning to crickets creaking through the night.   From loud honking horns to peaceful crashing ocean waves....    Our ears, like all of the five senses, are pretty particular and specific as to what pleases them and what doesn’t.   The sounds we hear stimulate us… and when we listen really carefully the connections they make inspire us.   For centuries this has been true of music….and the genres we listen to. Songs, instruments and lyrics connect uniquely with each and every one of us.   And most recently, over the last few years, the same can also be said for podcasting and audio programming.   Where the exponential growth is connecting with more and more people than ever before.   My name is Lou Diamond and I have had the incredible fortune to be involved in podcasting and audio content for several years now.  To date, I’ve hosted more than 4 podcast programs across a myriad of topics - business, leadership, marketing, sports & entertainment.  One of my shows, Thrive LOUD with Lou Diamond, has had over 500 episodes and counting and has connected to millions of listeners worldwide.     As a speaker and a business growth consultant, I’ve worked with many organizations in helping them better connect to their people, their customers and their prospects.  And Podcasting has been an important growth engine for my own business -- engaging me with many new clients, business alliances and partnerships.   Brought to you by AIMeCAST - the Next Generation of Internal and External Communications .
