Interview with Marc Singer of Steal Your Peach about meeting Derek Tucks & Susan Tedeschi at Monk's Cafe in Philadelphia, PA. Learn More About Marc: https://marcsingerrealtor.com/marc-singer-bio/ Steal Your Peach Band: We are a mixture of some of hardest working musicians in the Philadelphia area including members or former members of Live at The Fillmore, Tom Hamilton's American Babies, Dead on Live, Rainbow Full of Sound, Splintered Sunlight and more, specializing in a mashup concept, fusing the music of The Allman Brothers Band and The Grateful Dead. Each of us has multiple projects currently both original and not, but have formed a bond here with some of our favorite and most influential music, paying close attention to detail of all of the original music, while also adding our own improv to the mix making each show unique and exciting, and to create a very tangible symbiotic experience between the band and the listeners. There is nothing like coming back to pay homage to the music that inspired us all to play. We have played Brooklyn Bowl, Trocadero Theater, Ardmore Music Hall, Musikfest Cafe, Underground Arts, Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company, River Street Jazz Cafe, Stout's Brewery.Support the showIt's Rock 'n' Roll Fridays!FacebookYoutubeInstagramWebsite Got a Great Musical Story? This week MG is saving a seat for her guest, Meredith Rebar, Certified Cicerone, owner of Home Brewed Events, and new employee of Deer Creek Malthouse!  Meredith loves talking about beer and the power of fermentation. She and MG both adore food, beverage, and events and most importantly celebrating all of these with other people! In this episode, you’ll learn about beer & spirits education, what it means to be Certified Cicerone, and the pleasure and not-so-pleasurable experience of tastings with off flavors and sensitive palates.  Meredith opens up about how music has been an instrumental outlet for her and how she has reconnected with her roots in the music industry. Despite the pandemic, she took her tastings and brewing courses to a virtual platform, and she is excited to continue her involvement in major festivals and events in Philadelphia like the 2nd Street Festival and Philly Beer Week! Proprietor and Event Director, Meredith Megan Rebar (Certified Cicerone©), began her career managing and producing special events and concerts at the Abbey Bar as part of Appalachian Brewing Company in Harrisburg, PA. She was part of the Tasting Room event team that opened the new Troegs Brewing Company location in Hershey, PA. After moving to Philadelphia to be a part of the burgeoning beer scene, she joined Origlio Beverage as a Corporate Communications Specialist, writing articles for the seasonal publications, Draught Lines and Heady Times, developed background knowledge of beer wholesaler operations and craft beer sales and how to incorporate social media to develop business growth. In addition to running HBE she brewed professionally at St. Benjamin Brewing Company, chairs the Philly Loves Beer Education Committee and is a founding member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Pink Boots Society.   www.homebrewedevents.comConnect with Meredith on Instagram, Facebook, and Linkedin.Connect with MG on Instagram and Facebook, too!Follow BTV on Instagram and Facebook for all updates and releases.A byVesta Production.

Since then, AGT has exploded into Pennsylvania venues and festivals; gaining momentum and expanding their family base with a wide range of music styling and infectious songwriting. With each song, AGT brings a fresh and new atmosphere to the table. Their compositions are carefully layered with thick harmonies, intricate musical movements, deep rooted stories, and uplifting lyrics. Improvisation moves one song into the next, leaving a surprise around every corner. There is a strong sense of “family” in the group which helps drive their art and inspire one another. AGT has made many transformations since the beginning, always growing and moving forward with their music. The band is fronted by vocalist Emily Newman. Her powerful voice gives life to the lyrics and propels the music for the band. Guitarists Asa Wilson and Travis Mason steer the jams with their innovative lead/rhythm guitar work. Andrew Bodogh lays down the atmosphere with psychedelic synth swells and catchy keyboard lines. Bass guitarist Josh Tacker digs deep to release his grooves while the beats flow effortlessly from drummer and percussionist, Jose Teran. With a little over four years under their belt, Appalachian Gypsy Tribe has found themselves on many festival bills (Bear's Picnic, Some Kind of Jam, Boogie in the Bungalow, PA Sound Summit, Peace of Mind, Celebration of Life, Zucchini Moon, Carpe Noctem, Jam Along the Creek, Woodstock Reunion) as well as on the stage of numerous popular night clubs and venues (The Sherman Theater, River Street Jazz Cafe, The Abbey Bar, ArtsQuest Center, Chameleon Club, Tellus 360, North Star Bar, The Legendary Dobbs, The Holy Hound, The Funhouse, Pearly Bakers, Pickering Creek Inn, The WInner's Circle, and The Depot). AGT has sharred the stage with acts including Golden Gate Wingmen, The Heavy Pets, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Schwag, Ryan Montbleau Band, Consider the Source, The Mantras, The Breakfast, Splintered Sunlight, The Underwater Sounds, Flux Capacitor, Dr. Slothclaw, Still Hand String Band, Out of the Beardspace, Swift Technique, Nik Greeley & The Operators, and Mysterytrain... as well as bringing in the 2015 New Year with Melvin Seals and JGB & The New Riders of the Purple Sage! With the release of Appalachian Gypsy Tribe's second studio album, "Gypsy Wind," and the successful accompaniment production of the GYPSY WIND FESTIVAL, the members of the band are full of energy and excitement. AGT is ready to follow wherever the music may lead.

The 18th Annual Capital City Invitational Beer Festival at Appalachian Brewing Company Returning once again to the stage at the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing in Harrisburg, we set up shop at the 18th Capital City Invitational Beer Fest to sample the amazing array of local brews and chat with the brewers, owners, reps and others pouring their quaffs. Some old friends returned to the mic and we met some new ones as well. Kicking things off were Artie Tafoya, Director of Operations, and Adam Cole, Head Brewer for Appalachian. Then we ran down the line and enjoyed the plethora of good beer and good people. On Stage at the HBG Beer Week Little Big Beer Fest at Appalachian Brewing Company For the second time the Beer Busters took over the stage at the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing in Harrisburg, this time for the crowning event of Harrisburg Beer Week: the Little Big Beer Fest. The fest featured big beers from a limited number of local breweries. We managed to corral someone from just about every brewery represented (and a few other old and new friends) to come up on stage, sip some beers and chat. This was an awesome event and a fitting end to an incredible week of beer in Harrisburg, orchestrated by the ladies from Stouts and Stilletos and Sara Bozich. Here’s to hoping next year is even awesomer!
