Le nom du Poisson archer (Toxotes jaculatrix) provient de sa technique de chasse. Ces "Robins des bois" des mangroves dégomment les insectes grâce à un jet d'eau de la bouche.Le jet est généré en plaquant brutalement la langue contre le palais, qui est parcouru d'un sillon longitudinal. Il est assez précis et puissant pour atteindre une proie à 1,5m de distance.Cette prouesse est d'autant plus spectaculaire que les Poissons archers doivent tenir compte de la différence de réfraction entre l'eau et l'air (cf la célèbre expérience du bâton qui a l'air "cassé" une fois plongé dans l'eau). En clair, les proies ne sont pas perçues à la position qu'elles occupent réellement. Ces poissons sont donc capables d'ajuster le tir en tenant compte de cette illusion d'optique.À noter que cet épisode marque le début d'un nouveau cycle, co-animé par Sébastien Moro, le créateur de la chaîne YouTube Cervelle d'oiseau.___

Manon Tissidre est la coordinatrice du Réseau Centres de Soins Faune Sauvage (25 des 100 centres français).Quelques chiffres plutôt qu'un long discours :Environ 100 000 animaux de 800 espèces différentes sont traités chaque année, avec une augmentation de 20% par an.92 % des animaux blessés rapportés arrivent pour des causes anthropiques.En moyenne 50% des animaux rapportés peuvent être relâchés, les autres meurent ou sont euthanasiés.Le coût moyen d'un animal en soin est de 0,83 € / jour / animal, contre 100 € / jour chez un vétérinaire et 1300 à 3000 € dans un hôpital humain. Ces 0,83 € sont 4 fois inférieurs aux besoins réels minimum.En tout en France, il y a moins de 150 personnes salariées pour s'occuper de la faune sauvage en détresse. Plus de 80% des effectifs des centres sont bénévoles.___

Jahrhundertelang wurde auf der Opernbühne geliebt, heterosexuell geliebt. Seit wenigen Jahrzehnten erst stehen eine Handvoll schwule Paare, noch weniger lesbisch Liebende und bloss eine trans Person im Zentrum von ein paar wenigen Opern. Die universelle Kunstform Oper war doch eigentlich schon immer recht queer – oder doch nicht? Seit den ersten Werken der Gattung traten schliesslich Männer verkleidet als Frauen auf, Frauen verkleidet als Männer. Hohe Stimmen intonierten männliche Charaktere, tiefe weibliche. Stimm- und Kleidertravestie waren gang und gäbe. Lange fielen explizit queere Stoffe und Homoerotik aber der Zensur oder Verschleierung zum Opfer, gleichgeschlechtliche Liebe durfte auch auf der Bühne nicht sein. Doch seit der letzten Jahrtausendwende werden die Liebespaare in Opern nun allmählich diverser, und das Repertoire beginnt so, die gesellschaftliche Realität etwas adäquater abzubilden. Einer der Pioniere, der ein fesselndes Werk mit schwulem Protagonistenpaar komponiert hat, ist der Basler Andrea Scartazzini. In der Sendung erzählt er von der Entstehung seines hochdramatischen und gross besetzten «Edward II.» aus dem Jahr 2017 und von dessen musikalischen Besonderheiten. In St. Gallen feierte 2023 die erste abendfüllende Oper über eine trans Ikone ihre Uraufführung: «Lili Elbe» des US-Amerikaners Tobias Picker. Um die Geschichte der dänischen Landschaftsmalerin authentisch erzählen zu können, arbeitete Picker während des Kompositionsprozesses mit der Baritonistin Lucia Lucas zusammen, welche auch ihre eigenen Erfahrungen einbrachte. Philipp Venables schliesslich vertonte für die Opernfestivals in Aix-en-Provence und Bregenz ein queeres Kultbuch aus den 1970er-Jahren: «The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions» und schuf damit ein weiteres schillerndes Werk, welches andere Lebenswelten als die heterosexuelle auf die Bühne bringt. Au nord de la ville de Dakhla, dans la région du Sahara occidental administrée par le Maroc, un projet titanesque est en cours de réalisation : un port en eau profonde capable d'accueillir des porte-conteneurs et des supertankers. Dans le cadre de l'« Initiative Royale Atlantique », le port, entièrement financé par le royaume, a pour objectif de proposer un nouvel accès à la mer pour les pays enclavés du Sahel et de renforcer les échanges Sud-Sud, notamment avec l'Amérique du Sud. De notre envoyé spécial de retour de Dakhla,Sur les hauteurs de ce chantier pharaonique lancé il y a trois ans, en pleine zone désertique, une femme observe aux jumelles le ballet de camions. Iouzzi Nisrine est la directrice de suivi et de supervision de la réalisation du nouveau port de Dakhla Atlantique. La côte a été terrassée sur plusieurs centaines de mètres pour le stockage, façon Tetris, de milliers de quadripodes, ces petits plots de béton à quatre bras capables de dissiper l'énergie des vagues et fortifier les digues portuaires.Dakhla Atlantique, c'est 1 500 employés, plus d'un milliard d'euros investis par l'État marocain, pour une infrastructure multifonctions. « On parle du conteneur, on parle du trafic TIR, on parle justement des hydrocarbures verts, de l'hydrogène vert, de l'industrie de la pêche, et de la réparation navale. Tout cela, ce sont des segments d'activités qui ont beaucoup de potentiels et qui existent et qu'on a identifié pour pouvoir les drainer à travers un port en eau profonde, et un grand port comme le port de Dakhla Atlantique », détaille Iouzzi Nisrine.« Une opportunité pour augmenter le commerce extérieur »Selon la vision étatique, ce port permettra le développement économique des « Provinces du Sud », vocable marocain dans un contexte de territoire disputé. Ses concepteurs le présentent comme une nouvelle option pour les États du Sahel enclavés, qui n'ont d'accès direct à la mer. « Désenclaver les pays du Sahel,c'est également une opportunité pour augmenter le commerce extérieur, et également créer des investissements et la création d'emploi, et le développement économique de façon générale », assure la directrice de suivi et de supervision de la réalisation du port.Instrument d'ancrage territorial et outil de développement de nouvelles routes commerciales maritimes, notamment avec l'Amérique du Sud, les enjeux stratégiques, géopolitiques, sont nombreux, tout autant que les défis d'ingénierie et environnementaux, dans une zone écologique sensible. Pour gagner en tirant d'eau, et accueillir les plus gros porte-conteneurs, un pont de 1,2 km de long a été construit perpendiculaire à la côte, et l'équivalent de 28 hectares de terrain en mer. Nisrine Iouzzi, casque sur la tête, a troqué sa veste noire pour un gilet jaune de chantier : « On a pensé aussi que c'était important de ne pas totalement fermer le courant littoral, et donc on a réfléchi d'abord à faire le pont pour avoir les plus hauts-fonds et également aussi pour une question environnementale faire une digue pour ne pas fermer le contact entre le trait de côte et la première profondeur. »Le projet a atteint un taux d'avancement de 45 %, et la livraison du port est attendu pour décembre 2028, avec une mise en exploitation en 2029. 35 millions de tonnes de marchandises pourraient y transiter chaque année.
