Ducati's announcement that it was entering the off-road space was big enough news, but moving Paolo Ciabatti, who headed up the fantastically successful MotoGP effort, over to head the new motocross program was just as important to insiders. This is proof of how serious Ducati is about success on the dirt, and the brand takes a big step this weekend when Antonio Cairoli (!) returns to MXGP on the Ducati 450. Ciabatti was busy in another series last weekend, though, as he stopped by Unadilla to take in Pro Motocross. Jason Weigandt and Jason Thomas were able to get a few minutes with him for the Big Interview on the SMX Insider show. This podcast is an extended, full-length version of the shorter interview that ran in the show. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is hosted by Jason Weigandt and presented by Yoshimura, On Track School, and Racer X Brand.
It's another two-for today as world champ Antonio Cairoli talks about his switch to Ducati, his involvement in the new 450MX'er, whether he's going to race again and more. Then 1990 125Sx champ Denny Stephenson calls in to talk about making his return to AX as a pit reporter, thoughts on the series itself, his upcoming webcast from Daytona AX, his new job and more.
The Vital MX 'MXGP Podcast Show' recaps Antonio Cairoli's move to Ducati, Jorge Prado's vacation in the United States and the release of the 2024 fixtures. Hosts Lewis Phillips and Adam Wheeler reflect on the recent goings on in the sport with support from Polisport, FXR and 24MX.
In the latest Between The Races podcast, Red Bull KTM MX2 star Andrea Adamo talks to MX Vice Editor Ed Stratmann about his incredible season so far, working with Antonio Cairoli and Joel Smets, training alongside Jorge Prado, his intelligent approach to racing, MXoN and more.
Jeffrey Herlings on his retirement plan, working with Antonio Cairoli, improvements to KTM's 450 SX-F and predictions for 2023 Monster Energy Supercross.
Antonio Cairoli is the latest in a long—and now rare—line of motocrossers who crossed the Atlantic to compete in AMA Pro Motocross. Davey Coombs reads his feature story from the August 2022 issue of Racer X magazine. For more from DC, Jason Weigandt, Steve Matthes, and the rest of the Racer X crew, subscribe to Racer X.
Jason Weigandt catches up with Honda HRC's Ken Roczen, who is preparing to return to the track for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship on May 28. Roczen explains what he went through physically that led him to withdraw from Monster Energy AMA Supercross, but why he still loves the sport and still has a will to win. Plus, his take on racing longtime friends Ryan Dungey and Antonio Cairoli this summer. Enjoy this episode of the Racer X Exhaust Podcast, presented by Yoshimura, Leatt, and OnTrack School.
