It was great to catch up with AJ Donaldson.  I spent a long weekend with AJ and his family in Bimini (Bahamas) in the beginning of October.  The annual EPIC Gala was held in paradise and I was asked to do the keynote speech and interview AJ on stage about the important work that he is doing with his organization.  I immediately connected with this unbelievable human being and I am honored to call him a friend.  In this episode, we talk about being raised by a single mom, AJ's experience as a "Renaissance Man" and the important role that mentoring played in his life.   AJ Donaldson is a father, husband, son and a mentor! He was born and raised in Miami by a single mother. Growing up, he leaned on mentors to help navigate his life choices and education. At a young age, he realized he would one day be a mentor to kids in his community and beyond. Years later, AJ graduated from the University of Miami with a dual Bachelor of Art and Sciences in Electrical and Audio Engineering, while playing football for the university. With an evident passion for serving students in underserved communities throughout South Florida, AJ started The Epic Foundation in 2014. He's from that same underserved community and knows how life changing it can be to have the right after school support supplementing students' in-classroom education and guidance to a viable career path. The EPIC Foundation has served more than 250 students to date and their reach grows daily.EPIC Instagram EPIC Website Building Men InstagramBuilding Men WebsiteBuilding Men YouTubeBuilding Men FacebookBuildingmencoach@gmail.comBook a free coaching call with Building MenIf our podcast resonates with you, please consider rating, reviewing and sharing it with anyone who you believe would benefit from the message. Visit our sponsors - Finish The Race – Home of the official Building Men gearBecome Stronger Industries - Makers of handmade steel hammers and maces - enter code “buildingmen” for 10% off your entire orderFor more information about our Hero's Journey Men's Retreat email us at: Buildingmencoach@gmail.com

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ashley Saunders during my time in Bimini and I had the good fortune of him showing me around the Dolphin House. Ashley told me about his life and how everything changed after he swam with a group of wild dolphins. Since then he began building this Dolphin House (or Poetry In Stone) 26 years ago and he is still building it. Ashley has dedicated his life to creating the house in honor of the dolphins that he swam with. Read the full article HERE.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

To celebrate the big 200, Alex invites Erik Stark back onto the show to talk about giving back and the importance of going above and beyond for the people in your community. Last year, Alex and Erik made a big impact by hosting a Holiday Mastermind to help victims of Hurricane Irma get back on their feet. This year, they will be hosting a similar event in Bimini (Bahamas), in mid-July to support We Are GRACES. If you're interested in this mastermind, reach out to Alex for more info!   Key Takeaways: THANK YOU!!! 200 episodes is a milestone for this podcast, and I appreciate you for supporting the show. Alex personally believes in giving back regularly and being a servant of God. Erik also has similar beliefs and shares why giving back is so important. One of the worst things that can happen to you is you die and you didn't live your full potential. Alex inspired Erik to move down from Michigan to South Florida to start a new life with his family. How did Alex and Erik start the Holiday Mastermind? When the Hurricane Irma hit, the destruction was bad and here Erik was selflessly giving back to the community. To be honest, Alex felt guilty he wasn't doing enough. Don't sit on your hands. If you think you can do something, do it. Too many people wait for others to lead when it can be YOU! Last Christmas, the charity work Alex and Erik did brought smiles to about 100 children who virtually had nothing. One person can impact an entire generation or family. One person! What were some of the key takeaways that Erik learned at the holiday mastermind? Want to support the Holiday Mastermind? Alex and Erik are hosting the next one in Bimini (Bahamas) in mid-July.   Mentioned in This Episode: I would greatly appreciate an iTunes Review :-) Flip Empire on iTunes Email Alex: Alex@FlipEmpire.com Download my Holiday Mastermind Notes Here: flipempire.com/holiday Episode 008: (Erik Stark on Owner Finance & Deal Structure - Part 1) Episode 010: (Erik Stark on Owner Finance & Deal Structure - Part 2)   Tweetables: “There are a lot of people in pain and if you're making $50-75k a year, you're making more money than 80-90% of the world.” “One of the worst things that can happen to you is you die and you didn't live your full potential.” “If you're able, you're obligated.” Ask Alex A Question: Have a question you want featured on an upcoming Flip Empire Show? Sierra has loved dolphins and whales her whole life, but after first swimming with wild dolphins for the first time in June of 1997, her life would never be the same. Sierra came home and created The Divine Dolphin and began to take people to swim with the dolphins and whales in Bimini, Bahamas and Silver Bank, Dominican Republic because she wanted to share this amazing experience with others. Sierra later was drawn to Costa Rica, and purchased 10 acres in Drake Bay, on the Osa Peninsula, where she built an eco lodge and founded The Vida Marina Foundation which conducted research on their tours for the eco lodge's guests. Today, working part time amid an assortment of wildlife, including her beloved dolphins and whales from her jungle home and part time from beautiful San Diego, California, Sierra contributes to books, articles, websites, and interviews on weight loss, the law of attraction and dolphins and whales. She is highly respected and inspires thousands with her wit and clarity. Sierra also facilitates spiritual trips to swim with wild dolphins and whales in the best places for close interactions on the planet: Bimini Bahamas, Silver Bank Dominican Republic and trips to Costa Rica which combine the incredible sea life and rainforest life. She is also currently working on a coffee table book, a DVD and other products featuring her amazing photos and videos of dolphins, whales and other nature beings.
