I watched, rated and ordered 74 movies from 1971 to 2024 in order to attempt to figure out just what exactly could be the greatest of them all. A good chunk of us are probably buried under snow right now, so why not grab our skis and hit the slopes? While we're at it, we might as well crank some obscure 80s Swedish hair metal but be careful - they rock so hard that their music sometimes causes avalanches! It should be fine… What's worse is there's a murderous group of Hills Have Eyes knockoffs chilling in the nearby factory and definitely not enough lighting on set to show the viewer who's killing who. From the Bayou to the Mountains this week talking 1985 snowy slasher BLOOD TRACKS!!! A hair band, some models, a famous actress and some crew heads into the mountains to shoot a music video where they happen upon a family that's been hiding out in this factory for 40 years(maybe)! There's a million characters and they're all incredibly dumb, like… really dumb. This whole movie is basically just a meat grinder. Anyway, it's still pretty fun and has at least one cool death. So, there's that! Highway or city?

This week we head to Sweden! It's a movie that's supposed to take place in Colorado, but was shot in Sweden with a Swedish director and some bad dubbing over the dialogue. Blood Tracks. When a film crew goes up a mountain to shoot for their rock music video, they decide to use an old condemned factory as a spot for some footage. However, there's a family of hermits living there who have been hiding out for 40 years and they don't take kindly to strangers invading their space. Also, we need your help students. Get out your Aqua Net go get stoned with a savage. The beef is back with some new reviews for you. I am sans Jamie and X on this one. I am joined by two very capable folks being Lee Russell from They Must Be Destroyed On Sight and Willis Wheeler of N.F.W. and Two Drink Minimum Commentaries and of course Terror Troop.  We cover two films where white folks are messing where they shouldn’t have been messing being the slasher in the snow with Blood Tracks and the Michael Berryman machete wielding, drug infused, Jonestown promoting and Willie Aames loving Cut and Run.

It's the third episode of Blood on the Tracks, and this episode comes as a result of a poll Lee ran on the TMBDOS! Facebook page. The people voted for Heavy Metal Horror, so Lee went down a much deeper rabbit hole than he initially expected. Most of these tracks come from films that do feature heavy metal as part of the plot, but in some cases it's just films that are well-known for their metal soundtracks/scores. So make a devil sign; tell Gene Simmons to fuck off, because he doesn't own the rights to it; and come bang your head with Lee for an hour. Note: Lee mentions that the film "Demons" (1985) contained a score from Claudio Simonetti using the Goblin name. This is an error: Simonetti is credited as himself for his work on that film.
