Give me high!

This week, Alex is joined by UK content creator and food-review connoisseur: Rez Snapper (MJ)! The duo kicks things off with a deep dive into physical TCGs (Pokémon and Riftbound) before jumping into some highly anticipated new card reviews.Alex and MJ break down the latest Objective cards hitting Marvel Snap:Polaris: Why the clunky timing of the "Objective" mechanic completely ruins her synergy with Malkuth in Affliction decks.Archangel: Is this 2-Cost resurrect card a total skip? (Plus, a hilarious "cheat code" involving Colossus).Mother Askani: The absolute star of the show. The hosts rate this card a massive 4.5 Stars, detailing how copying a juiced-up card in your hand breaks open decks for Sebastian Shaw, Daken, and Hit-Monkey.Storm: Can you afford to skip turns 1 and 2? Alex pitches an insane Surfer/Hit-Monkey hand-dump synergy to maximize her +2 buffs.Later in the show, Alex puts on his tinfoil hat to discuss the "Hot Location Conspiracy"—is Second Dinner intentionally placing Hot Locations right after a season launch to buff the Season Pass card? They also vent about terrible High Voltage missions, demand more impactful OTAs (Justice for Spider-Woman!), and clarify the pricing math behind 1200 vs. 800 Gold Event Passes. Finally, they wrap up with what MJ does best: reviewing bizarre UK food creations, including Bacon Double Cheeseburger Pringles.Join Alex Coccia and special guest Rez Snapper as they chat about this and more on this episode of The Snap Chat—and catch Cozy and Alex every week as they discuss all things Marvel Snap.Have a question or comment for Cozy and Alex? The skilled trades are getting squeezed from both sides: demand is rising—driven by grid upgrades, battery storage buildouts, and the reshoring of manufacturing—while the workforce pipeline keeps narrowing. Across construction, manufacturing, and other skilled trades, employers are facing a demographic cliff: for every five workers who retire, only two replacements enter the workforce. Contractors feel that imbalance acutely—not just in the field, but increasingly in supervision and leadership. This growing gap has made skilled trades mentorship important, especially as experienced foremen disappear faster than they can be replaced and project timelines continue to stretch. So where do people turn for real guidance—parents, students, or mid-career workers—when the traditional advice channels no longer understand the trades, and misinformation fills the gap?Welcome to Straight Outta Crumpton. In the latest episode, host Greg Crumpton sits down with Doug Winston, CEO of D&M Electrical Contracting and founder of TradeMentor.org, to talk about what it actually takes to build a durable trades career today. Their discussion spans Doug's path from a skeptical high schooler to an electrical contractor running advanced, niche work (think medium-voltage utility systems and multi-megawatt battery storage), and why he's now building a mentoring network to help people enter the industry with clear expectations and credible direction.Top insights…Niches beat commodity work. Doug explains how D&M grew by repeatedly moving into vertical markets others avoided—utility, storm restoration, cell tower builds, and now battery storage—focusing on “revenue per person” rather than racing to the lowest bid.The trades shortage is also a leadership shortage. Beyond the labor gap, Doug argues the industry has weakened the traditional path from field → foreman → estimator → PM → executive, leaving a managerial credibility gap on job sites.TradeMentor is designed to fix the information problem. The platform focuses on skilled trades mentorship, connecting people with region-specific, face-to-face guidance so candidates understand real working conditions, career pathways (union, non-union, pre-apprenticeship, trade school), and the business side for future owners.Doug Winston is a veteran electrical contractor with more than 30 years of experience, serving as President and CEO of D&M Electrical Contracting and its affiliated utility and equipment services companies, specializing in union electrical work, transmission and distribution, storm restoration, and heavy power infrastructure. He is known for building highly efficient teams, operating in niche markets, and scaling complex electrical and utility operations across the Northeast and nationwide. In 2025, he founded TradeMentor.org, a nonprofit dedicated to providing accurate guidance, resources, and one-on-one mentoring for individuals pursuing careers in the skilled trades.
Despite the allusion in the title, today's song has no spiritual content or religious references. It's just a description of life on the road with a hard rock band that's paying its dues. And, as the band members would tell you, they were–and are–a rock band, not a punk band, thank you very much. AC/DC was formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young in their hometown of Sydney, Australia. The band name came from an electrical adapter on a sewing machine owned by their sister and not, dear reader, from the street slang that hints at one's sexual orientation. Within two months, the brothers Young were in the studio at their first recording sessions, and five months after that's they were touring Australia supporting and opening for Lou Reed. Their first lead singer, Bon Scott, joined the band in time to record their first studio album, High Voltage, in November 1974. That record was released in a limited market at first, but it did give the band its first Top 20 hit (“Baby, Please Don’t Go”) and their first radio play in the United States. The follow-up, T.N.T., led to an international deal with Atlantic Records in 1976. The next five years were undoubtedly the golden years for the band. Their third offering, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, was released in late 1976, and the band toured extensively around Australia, Europe and the Americas for the better part of the next three years. Put yourself in their shoes — 4 albums in as many years, with each album requiring at least 128 concerts a year — and you'd start to think of the road as being hellish. And that's the origin of the song we dive into in this episode.

The Masked Singer is back! America's favorite celebrity competition has returned for a fourteenth helping. Host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora welcomed a new set of undercover performers to the show. Little do they know that Rita's Descendants co-star, Kylie Cantrall, infiltrated the competition as the show's first Masked Singer (MS) Insider. Last week, she entered the competition as the Cat Witch and, along with fellow competitors Galaxy Girl, Hangman, Pugcasso, Queen Corgi, Scarab, Snow Cone, and Stingray, advanced. However, her competitors, Googly Eyes and the Croissants, were forced to leave the show. Baseball legend David “Big Papi” Ortiz was behind the Googly Eyes costume, while the Season 14 premiere episode ended with the identity of the Croissants just about to be unmasked. On the second episode of The Masked Singer: Season 14, fans learned the Croissants' true identities and experienced Fear Night, where five new costumed performers – Calla Lily, Eggplant, High Voltage, Le Who Who, and Owl – made their debuts along with guest panelist Johnny Knoxville, who hosts the revival of Fear Factor: House of Fear. Lured Up Podcast 372: Spending With Reckless Abandon Live Streamed on - 11/18/25 Publish Date - 11/21/25 What an incredible month of gameplay we are getting. Since the level cap increase, the game and community have felt alive and well, with excitement, motivation, and dedication flowing all around us. We recap our last week of gameplay through Into The Wild, the Silver Bottlecap, and finally, with Wild Area:Global. Adam was able to make the most of his limited gameplay and Raided from the toilet, while Ken was able to get 16 hours of core gameplay in Red Bank and Philly. The Community Celebration Event in Philly was incredible. It somehow captured the magic of a much larger IRL event like GO Fest, in a City Safari like setting. Niantic may really be on to something here, as these events capture the magic of a large event, while being powered by local communities, which sets a unique tone for the gameplay. Nearly 1,500 Trainers checked in on Campfire and Raid Trains packed with a few hundred Trainers were marching through the city for the entirety of the event. A group of creators was able to meetup at the event to bring their individual styles of gameplay and content to the community. We take a look at each of the featured creators, and highly recommend you check them out and give them a follow. There is some real magic to be had when you combine core gameplay, and creators that like to get their hands dirty on the grind. We have a few remaining events in November, with High Voltage keeping us busy until this weekend's DMAX Eevee Max Battle Weekend. With Eevee only being Tier 2, most Trainers will have no problem taking it down. We hope you saved some Max Particles from Wild Area, because making sure you can evolve into the full line, you are going to need a fair amount of DMAX Eevee in your inventory. Don't forget to take advantage of Trade Day on Sunday to help you fill in your missing Eeveelutions. This week, we're reaching back into the archive, and re-releasing an episode from back in May with Jereme Kent, the CEO of One Power Company. Given our recent episodes focusing on AI-driven enterprises, we thought it would be a good time to revisit this episode where Jereme discusses the need for a modernized grid to power those projects. Enjoy! Summary: The world has changed a lot in the last century, but it might surprise you to learn that the US power grid has remained pretty much the same. In this country, energy is by and large controlled by regional utilities with de-facto monopolies, and no real incentive to innovate. That inertia impacts the entire economy, as industrial projects are starved of the power they need to get off the ground. Jereme Kent is the founder and CEO of One Power Company. Under his leadership, One Power is trailblazing the creation of the customer-centric power grid of the future. Before founding One Power in 2009, Jereme led the construction of some of the world's premier wind projects. As a field engineer, erection superintendent and site manager, he has overseen more than a billion dollars in wind turbine construction. Jereme joins us to discuss how and why current US power infrastructure is falling short, and how the One Power model could both energize and decarbonize America's efforts to re-industrialize. This week we're introducing Raven to Sydney Sweeney and we learn about the dangers of "slut-shaming"; Bi-Weekly apparently has two different definitions; Americans are drinking at record-low levels, or are they? French streamer Jean Pormanove dies during a nearly 12-day streaming challenge, and the details are insane; Is jacking off in an airplane bathroom illegal? If you missed Raven's documentary screening in Boston, you'll have future opportunities to attend other screenings; We hear stories where fans ask for strange things, and learn that kink-shaming is apparently a bad thing, unless it's Feeney's kink; What are the tag teams Power Company and High Voltage at today? Fanmail, and of course, all the usual perversions.
