Bradley’s story from depression and drugs to helping children and families around the world. How managing expectations and experiences are the keys to a thriving family unit. About Bradley Callow: Bradley Callow is revolutionizing the way affluent families teach and learn passion, performance and perseverance. Bradley is now dedicated to providing the inspiration, tools and blueprints for transforming how families interact with themselves, each other and the world. In 2016, Bradley Founded Rich Legacy which has rapidly become a trusted resource for Fortune 10 Executives, Inc. 50 Entrepreneurs, and Middle Eastern Royals and their families. Like most catalysts for transformation, Bradley Callow, Founder of Rich Legacy, loves helping people to succeed. But unlike most of them, he focuses on working with the affluent families. When asked about that, Bradley says that there may be different pressures that exist, but at the end of the day, human beings are much the same. Bradley grew up in a good two-parent home that it’s often surprising to people to know that he started selling drugs at eleven years old and almost killed himself with a gun by the time he was 26. He chose to focus on entrepreneurs and executives for the most part because he wants to create maximum impact and believes if he can change the hearts and minds of those executives and entrepreneurs around how they feel about work life integration, they can take that to their work culture and impact all their employees. In this episode, Doug and Bradley Callow discuss: Bradley's story How Bradley found himself dealing drugs at 11 years old Nature vs. nurture Working through the problems, not around them Key Takeaways: The suicide rate has quadrupled since 1950 and the greatest increases have come in the affluent demographic What is traumatic to one person vs. another is largely based on perspective You've got to use your problem solving brain to try and piece together the puzzle when someone is acting out Once you develop your passion, you get your purpose and with purpose comes performance "What ends of developing is more of a shame vs. guilt mentality… that's just a spiral you don't want to begin to associate with." - Bradley Callow Connect with Bradley Callow: Twitter: @BradleyCallow LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradleycallow/ Website: http://betterdads.richlegacy.com/free-guide Reach The Nice Guys Here: Doug- @DJDoug Strickland- @NiceGuyonBiz Nice Guys Sponsor: Interview Valet is the best podcast booking service. Gordie did not take the smooth route to get where he currently is in life. If there was an easy way or a "how to" book that would enable one to discover him or herself, Gordie definitely did not read it. His journey involved addictions to numerous substances and multiple mental illness diagnoses. From rock bottom, he describes the experience, the emotions, the pain and his journey back to reality. It is now his mission to share his story and inspire millions of young adults. Using their platform, Rich Legacy, Gordie Bufton, and his partner Bradley Callow, help high-performing families from around the world empower their children in a way that moves them away from self-destructive behaviors. Having both barely escaped prison and death, they now provide eye-opening insights from the perspective of the child. This approach inspires parents to engage with their children in a way they never dreamed possible. With a focus on the child's perspective, they deliver live events, workshops, information products, and family consultation to support children and their parents as they navigate the unique challenges not found in other types of families. Their Five Principles of Family Realignment are rooted in our personal journeys, as well as conversations with thousands of children, parents, and professionals who come from or work with driven-families. Their mission is to provide the understanding, connection, patterning, empowerment, and balancing needed to ensure a rich and healthy legacy for the families they reach. Christopher and Allan continue their interview with Bradley Callow. The Moderation Institute was created to offer a solution for those experiencing undesirable patterns of drinking. An estimated 23 million people struggle with substance use issues in the United States and only 2.3 million are participating in treatment. We were inspired to ask why. Why were so few people willing to seek treatment? Why were only a fraction of them being successful? Here are our discoveries… Most treatment methods available have: Success Rates - Lower than 10% - Grossly Outdated Approaches - Excessive Costs - Abstinence Only Philosophies - Significant Time Commitments There had to be a better way. The next year was spent pursuing all possible avenues for a more effective alternative. The findings sounded too good to be true, so Dr. Yasinski went to work developing The Moderation Method. The next three years were dedicated to researching, testing, and retesting. The results were nothing short of amazing. The program created challenged everything about existing treatment models. The Moderation Method delivers: A Success Rate Greater than 80% - Modern Evidenced-Based Approach - Cost Effectiveness - Moderation Philosophy - Extremely Limited Time Commitment This is the future of alcohol treatment. www.TheModerationInstitute.com Learn more about your ad choices.
