What you wear is most times tied to your identity. So what happens when your partner tells you they don't like what to wear? How can they comment on your dressing style without putting you on the defensive? That's what happened with me and Cera. When we met, I used to wear a rugged mustache, torn boots and everything that didn't look out of place with these. For sure I was ready for the wardrobe upgrade. So when Cera called for a complete make-over, I heard no reservations and let her take care of how I look.On this week's episode of 'The Interracial Couple Podcast', we dive into:1. Who do you dress for? Do you dress to impress your partner/ others? Or do you dress to just feel good about yourself?2. Can you tell your partner how to dress? At what stage of the relationship can you have this conversation?3. Fast fashion Vs. As people who thrive on routine, Matthew and I have been drifting for the last few months since we lost our morning rituals. It all started back in Kenya with the uncertainties about our travel back to the States due to the pandemic. Yet even after we finally arrived here, it feels like we're still in the air -being blown around at the mercy of other people's schedules and other things going on in the world. This has culminated in a slow spiral into a kind of depression for both of us.So last night and during our walk this morning, we had to reflect on how we ended up here and how we can get back on track. On this week's episode of 'It's Not All Black & White', we discuss:1. The need for each partner in a relationship to stick to their routine even after the other falls off the wagon2. Whether it's such a bad thing at all to be in the funk sometimes3. We moved out of our home in Kenya to come back to America on an American Repatriation flight in the era of COVID-19. Day 1 back in Northern California, Cera learned how to weed whack - then woke up at night to a tick biting her thigh. She squeezed and killed it and woke up Matthew, who claimed that the tick was already dead. He did not believe that she had actually been bitten by a live tick. So the arguments started. When we argue - we always both think we're right. We BOTH have experiences and simply saw it differently. And we ALWAYS think our own experiences are the right ones and our partner just experienced it wrong! In this case, we'll never know who was truly right - but we both are 100% sure we are each right and the other is wrong.ABOUT USCERA graduated from UCLA with a degree in International Development and Entrepreneurship in 2018, after living in Los Angeles for eight years. She grew up in rural Kenya and at the age of nine, she lost her childhood home to civil war. That's why I was mortified when my best friend coerced me into spending my birthday weekend on a luxury yacht full of sugar daddies. Now all I want is for the silver fox named Mateus to take me to his cabin and make me his. Mateus Harley's a charter guest on the yacht that I captain, which means she's off limits. Though it was love at first sight, well, maybe it was lust, I couldn't cross that line. When that bastard put his hands on her in front of me, it changed the game. All bets were out the window and I went into protective mode. I played a game of Mr. Steal Your Girl and won. Now she's mine and I'm never letting go. Lunchtime Chronicles: Served by Best-Selling Author Brooklyn Knight Colt The minute I saw Savannah's face plastered on that dating website (unbeknownst to her), I made the decision to leave my ranch and head to the city to collect her. Savvy is a wanted woman - in more ways than one, and there's no way she's escaping my clutches this time. Fifteen years ago, she left, without giving me a chance to right my wrong. Now I've found her, and there's no way in hell I'm letting her go. Savannah When that cocky cowboy, Colton Wright, decides to show his face in my nightclub, I know nothing good will come of it. Colt is trouble, a lesson I learned fifteen years ago. But when he tells me the police are looking for me, I make the decision to lie-low at his ranch. Only for forty-eight hours; but forty-eight hours is a long time to be locked up with a cowboy like Colt. I escaped him before, but this time, I have a feeling I won't... At least not before I get served. This story contains extremely passionate and descriptive sex scenes. Not suitable for readers under the age of 18 years, or those who may be offended by somewhat graphic descriptions of sexual encounters. This story also contains scenes which include expletives. Hey HB's! We're here with The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory. It's a contemporary, BWWM romance that's... mostly about donuts and coffee? THAT'S UNFAIR. Listen, we really wanted to love this one and we didn't.  BONUS CONTENT: Hey skippers! You're in luck because Erin is over banter. Melody might be extra critical because she's acclimating to her hormonal IUD, but she doesn't think that's the problem. Awkwardness that can happen in interracial relationships, illegible muppet notes, has Erin been to her own wedding?, Michael's secret Toy Story obsession, bathroom trips with friends new and old, that one wedding where Erin was double-fisting double gins and Melody was heaping dairy on her plate (intolerance be damned), tip-of-the-nose-kissing gets a boop on the snoot, Snoot Boopers: a new show for dogs, *BING BOONG BONG* HIPAA Violations with Erin, and the problem with depictions of body issues with no orgasmic band-aid. We mention Black Chick Lit Podcast and Lacey's GoodReads review of The Proposal! Check them both out! Twitter: @blackchicklit, Instagram: @bclpodcast Not Your Mom's Romance Book Club also has a review about this novel! Twitter and Instagram: @notyourmomsrom Self Love Recommendations:  Melody: don't feel bad about DNFing a book. Read something you know you'll love like I did with Surrender to Sin and The Devil's Submission by Nicola Davidson.  Erin: You guys there's this new show called Snoot Boopers that's a riot and a half. So if you're a dog in a TV rut, check that nonsense out! Episode Sponsor:  Bubbles and Books! Use the offer code HEAVINGBOSOMS10 to get 10% off your first order! No, not someone who helps authors finish their manuscripts, but rather a shy, friendly ghost that rearranges text to solve cozy mysteries, correct grammar, help children learn, and basically make everything better. Ghost writers are known to travel through time, illuminating historical texts for today’s readers and giving new voice to history. They are known to hang out with Jamal, Gabby and the gang in Brooklyn in 1995, but also curled up with a cup of tea and a feline companion when not on the job. In related news, boy, do we hope you watched the American kids TV show, Ghostwriter.

Yo and Holly try to talk about this book, but get into a more serious discussion about sexual assault in romance literature. This episode could be triggering so keep that in mind when listening. As serious as we can get, we also have a good fun time with this one too! We aint all doom and gloom. So come on it, settle down and we'll get into the weird world of people that have animal DNA and mate humans. Or something. If you want to follow along with us, we will be back next month reading The Minotaur's Kiss, a BWWM paranormal romance by Erin St. Charles.

Do black girls like white men? There's something you have to know about interracial relationships and dating. It's a hard pill to swallow but a lot of black girls are into white guys. And a lot of white guys are attracted to black women. But both sides struggle. They don't admit it and some of them will allow the judgment and opinions of others to destroy something that has potential. Don't let others dictate who you can date and who you can't date. Don’t forget to check out my book: https://www.globalseducer.com/rise-of-the-phoenix/
