In this episode of Crux True Survival Stories, hosts Kaycee McIntosh and Julie Henningsen dive into the gripping tale of Robert Schock, a 39-year-old drifter who vanished during a day run in the North Cascades with his dog. Schock defied the odds, surviving nearly a month in the wild with no shoes and minimal supplies before being miraculously found by trail crew members. The episode explores the treacherous terrain of the North Cascades, known for its high disappearance rates, and examines the psychological and physical toll survival takes in such hostile environments. Other chilling stories of lost hikers, like Rachel Lakoduck and Samantha Sayers, are also discussed, highlighting the unforgiving and unpredictable nature of the wilderness. The hosts emphasize the vital importance of preparation, proper equipment, and awareness for anyone venturing into remote areas. 00:00 Introduction and Guest Welcome 00:23 The Story of Robert Schock 01:11 Miraculous Rescue and Survival 02:24 The Treacherous Terrain of the North Cascades 03:13 The Dangerous Beauty of the North Cascades 05:40 Robert Schock's Fateful Journey 08:17 Lost and Battling for Survival 14:00 The Search and Final Moments 18:40 A Mother's Reflection 18:52 The Trail Crew's Heroic Effort 19:32 Survival Strategies and Key Lessons 20:29 Rescue and Recovery 22:50 Robert's Future and Reflections 24:03 The Dark Reality of Wilderness Disappearances 27:33 The Case of Rachel Lackaduck 30:52 The Search for Samantha Sayers 35:14 Key Lessons from the Wilderness 36:11 Essential Survival Gear and Preparation 38:37 Closing and Listener Engagement References: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Cascades_National_Park https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/missing-persons-by-state#google_vignette https://www.cascadiadaily.com/2024/sep/19/a-month-lost-in-the-north-cascades-without-food-or-shelter-hiker-details-improbable-rescue/ https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/chilliwack-river https://www.nationalparkstraveler.org/2021/02/deadliest-national-park-would-you-believe-north-cascades-national-park https://www.seattletimes.com/life/outdoors/how-the-body-of-missing-hiker-rachel-lakoduk-was-found-in-the-north-cascades-almost-two-years-after-she-disappeared/ https://nypost.com/2020/07/04/why-hundreds-of-people-vanish-into-the-american-wilderness/ https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/national-park-highest-death-rate-country-rcna68317 Email us! thecruxsurvival@gmail.com Instagram https://www.instagram.com/thecruxpodcast/ Get schooled by Julie in outdoor wilderness medicine! https://www.headwatersfieldmedicine.com/

Marshall Herskovitz Live on Game Changers With Vicki Abelson Masterclass! I've had many stimulating, fascinating, brilliant, talented, fun guests. None more so than writer, director, and producer, Marshall Herskovitz. There's a reason this human has won more Emmy, Golden Globe, Writers Guild, Directors Guild, Peabody, and Humanitas Awards than I can count… not to mention an Academy Award nomination. Wow, just wow! You don't get all those awards for writing, creating, and making great television and movies without being a great storyteller, and boy is Marshall that! From his eighth-grade short story to his first attempt at filmmaking, AFI––miracle-ing his way in, meeting Ed Zwick the very first day––a partnership that would change both their lives and all of ours… Snuffy's specifically and significantly. We talked thirtysomething from throw-away lack of interest to the cataclysmic creative shift in what was possible on series TV. From Day 1 to the present commitment to the reboot usurped by the pandemic. Marshall and Ed are still passionately committed to seeing it through to air and I don't doubt with these two at the helm it will come to pass. Marshall talked about My So-Called Life, Claire Danes, Special Bulletin, and the NBC backlash on his Emmy-winning debut, Jack the Bear, Dangerous Beauty, The Last Samurai, and Tom Cruise––wonderful inside scoop there. Likewise, DiCaprio and Blood Diamond. We talked Marshall's environmental activism and seemingly sensible solution and concluded with the political race and what 2024 may hold. A rare guest I didn't know going in, Marshall quickly felt like a dear treasured friend. The conversation was effortless, exciting, insightful, and inspiring. Loved it!Can't wait for more… on and off the screen. Send us a Text Message.“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” or so they say. But, honestly that's just not true. For all of known history beauty has been defined by society, not the beholder, and the standards have been set unattainably high. Pale and plump, tan and thin, long hair, now short hair, curly hair, straight hair, big hair, no hair, thick eyebrows, thin eyebrows, thick again, thin again, short, now tall, black teeth, no white teeth. Ever changing, swinging like a pendulum, back and forth, and ever harder and harder to actually achieve. But did you know our desperation to somehow reach these impossible standards has led us to, quite literally, poison ourselves throughout history? Let's fix that. Sources:Kallos Gallery "The Role of Kohl in Ancient Egypt"mylearning.org "Warding Off Evil"CDC "Health Effects of Lead Exposure"Medical News Today "Almost half of skin bleaching creams contain mercury"Duke University "Lead exposure in last century shrunk IQ scores of half of Americans"nobelprize.org "Women Who Changed Science"redcross.org "Marie Curie, the Red Cross, invisible light and WWI"International Museum of Surgical Science "X-Ray Hair Removal: Seeing Through the Beauty Industry"Forbes Magazine "6 Trends Shaping the Future of the $532B Beauty Industry"CDC "Researching Risks of Birth Defects Among Pregnant Nail Salon Workers and Hairdressers"The Cut "The Most Dangerous Beauty Through the Ages"National Geographic "Arsenic Pills and Lead Foundation: the History of Toxic Makeup"Global Founders London "Dangerous Beauty"a History Extra podcast episode about the history of beautya For the Love of History podcast episode called “Beauty to die for"Support the show! Buy Me a CoffeeVenmo @Shea-LaFountaine

Regena Thomasauer: Reclaiming Yourself & Living a Life of Pleasure

The Brave Table with Dr. Neeta Bhushan

Hey Brave Table fam, and welcome back for another super juicy episode. My guest today is Regena Thomasauer, also known as Mama Gena. She is a teacher, a mama, the New York Times best-selling author of Pussy: A Reclamation, and Founder and CEO of The School of Womanly Arts, which began in her living room in 1998 and has since turned into a global movement.    Above all else—Regena believes that women are the greatest untapped natural resource on the entire planet.    What you'll get out of this episode…    - A brief history of the divine feminine and how we moved from a matriarchy into a patriarchy - Why now is the best time to be living on this planet as a woman - The importance of pleasure in connecting to your deepest desires - The life of the Courtesan, why it was so important, and how the women's movement ended it - Why women need to fill up on pleasure as much as they can and use the lens of pleasure to reach a different paradigm - Tips to practice sensuality and self-pleasure so you can flood your body with feel-good hormones and turn on your radiance - Giving yourself permission to connect with your life force - The art of the turn-on and turning yourself on - Why you should always follow your desires, even when it leads to unexpected places - And much, MUCH more   Regena's story starts with childhood abuse. From the time she was 5 years old, she remembers feeling drained, disconnected from herself, and as though she didn't have enthusiasm for the day. She recalls being in her bed and seeing a goddess sitting on the edge of it in her peripheral vision. But every time she would turn to look at it, it would disappear.    Regena longed to find her goddess. Later in life, in her 20s, she researched ancient goddess traditions and learned about the matriarchal societies of the past to find out why the feminine was missing in our modern day.    Then one day at University, she got an assignment asking her to prepare as if the most important person in the world was coming for a visit (which, turns out, that's you!).    As women, we're always taught to take care of our partners, our kids, our parents—but never of ourselves. So with this assignment, Regena pampered herself for the first time... ever. She looked in the mirror in a state of pleasure and finally awakened the inner goddess she had been searching for. This was the moment that would change everything for her, realizing that this goddess is within every woman and that pleasure is the key to revealing it.    The reality is that we are witnessing global unhappiness among women right now. 1 in 4 women will experience depression, and only 1 in 5 will seek treatment. There are eating disorders, an alarming level of self-harm, and built-up resentment. Despite all of the gains women have made, we are still a bit lost.    But ladies, what if you could reclaim your power by exploring your sensuality and understanding what pleases you—instead of what pleases other people? Your freedom lies in following your desires; that's your life force talking to you. It's time we all find our inner goddess and lead lives of pleasure.   More resources on Regena and things she mentions in this episode…   - Buy Regena's New York Times best-selling book, Pussy: A Reclamation https://www.amazon.com/Pussy-Reclamation-Regena-Thomashauer/dp/1401950248  - Visit Regena's website at https://mamagenas.com/ and find her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/mamagena/  - More on the film Dangerous Beauty https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118892/  - A book about Regena's favorite Courtesan, Marie Duplessis, The Girl Who Loved Camellias: The Life and Legend of Marie Duplessis https://www.amazon.ca/Girl-Who-Loved-Camellias-Duplessis/dp/0804171556  - More about pleasure through sex with Alexa Bowditchhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/alexa-bowditch-being-brave-in-talking-about-sex-pt-1/id1608226580?i=1000554707395  - And part two of that convo, what you didn't learn about sex in schoolhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/alexa-bowditch-what-you-didnt-learn-about-sex-in-school-pt-2/id1608226580?i=1000554963663  - How my husband Ajit and I keep the fun and pleasure in our relationshiphttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ajit-nawalkha-part-2-on-parenthood-and-being-a-father/id1608226580?i=1000551026806  - More on healing childhood wounds with Marissa Peerhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/marisa-peer-on-being-enough-healing-childhood-wounds/id1608226580?i=1000552433781  Thanks for listening, fam. MARSHALL HERSKOVITZ is a writer, producer, and director who has won numerous awards for his work in television and film. Born in Philadelphia, he attended Brandeis University, then moved to Los Angeles in 1975, where he attended the American Film Institute. One of his classmates was Edward Zwick, and there the two created what is currently the longest-surviving creative partnership in Hollywood: The Bedford Falls Company, named for the town in Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life. In the ensuing decades they created such TV series as thirtysomething, My So-Called Life, and Once and Again; and Herskovitz variously produced and/or wrote many films with Zwick, including Legends of the Fall, Traffic, The Last Samurai, and Blood Diamond. Herskovitz also directed Jack the Bear and the cult-favorite Dangerous Beauty. In 2007, Herskovitz created the groundbreaking online series and social network quarterlife, which at the time was the internet's most successful scripted series, and the first online series to transition to network television. A longtime environmentalist, Herskovitz has served on the board of several organizations dedicated to fighting climate change. He is a past president of the Producers Guild of America. In this episode, we talk about: • The Last Samurai and working with Tom Cruise • His first role in the Entertainment industry and his first job while still at film school. • If AFI (American Film Institute) prepared him for the industry and what he took from it • The transition from writer to Showrunner and the birth of the hit show thirtysomething • Working with his partner Edward Zwick and their initial different strengths and weaknesses. • How he and Ed work together now; who directs and who writes. • Working on some of his biggest projects • Tips for aspiring actors About the Guest: Twitter Wikipedia IMDb Host: Instagram: @MentorsontheMic @MichelleSimoneMiller Twitter: @MentorsontheMic @MichelleSimoneM Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mentorsonthemic Website: www.michellesimonemiller.com Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/24mmichelle

Sometimes all I want in this world is strong arms around me, someone who has my back, and a soft place to fall. That's when I pull out a good bodyguard romance. Nothing in the world makes me feel safer than these stories. They've got me dreaming of an avenger, a 24/7 personal protection officer of my very own.https://www.confessionsofaclosetromantic.comMovieThe Bodyguard (1992) is one of the first things that comes to mind when you think "bodyguard romance." It looks a bit clunky to my eyes now, but the chemistry between Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston is an eternal flame.Books Goodreads has a great round-up of bodyguard romances to get you started. If you're like me and don't enjoy suspense and violence with your romance, definitely read the reviews of these books first before you go in.Girl Gone Viral, part of the short Modern Love series, is about two vulnerable people finding love and security in each other. Family and mental health issues are woven so skillfully throughout--the focus is always firmly on this gorgeous couple.Dangerous Beauty is a slow-burn bodyguard romance, full of hot sexual tension and bunker love, but the full-on sexytimes come right at the end–-AND it ends on a cliffhanger. Book 1 of 3. Arrrrghhh.Pawn is Book 1 in the Ironclad Bodyguards series. If the other bodyguards in this series are like Sam, I'll be reading every book.Rock Chick is completely bonkers and the hero is definitely an over-protective alpha right to the end, but the heroine is a firecracker and it's a sexy, fun ride with mild/brief suspense & danger. Vulnerable is Book 1 in the 14-book McIntyre Security bodyguard series, and it brings all the juicy tropes: wounded heroine, secret protector, age-difference, virgin, millionaire, and band of brothers romance. Imperfect, Book 5, is about a combat-blinded former Navy SEAL, a McIntyre brother, who falls in love with his scarred artist neighbor. Fantastic disability rep in this book. CW for brief descriptions of physical assaults in both books.I finally made my bed alcove dreams come true. Some pictures to inspire you to create a sleep bunker of your very own.

Wholeness with Melissa Kathryn

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 17, 2019 27:00

During this episode of the Wholeness podcast, Melissa Kathryn continues the conversation from last week about being in your feminine by describing what it looks like to own your worth. Many women, like those at the recent Weight Loss for Life retreat, struggle to empower themselves to be who they are deep inside and be open to the intuitive guidance that is available to them. One of the clearest demonstrations of this is the inability of most women to recieve. For example to accept compliments without reciprocating.    As women, we have been brought up in the world to believe that we need to live into other people’s stories rather than writing our own, trying to fit into the boxes created by our parents or friends or role models, rather than fully embracing ourselves and standing in our worth and love.    Owning your worth and unapologetically knowing that you are more than enough exactly as you are, comes from establishing your own truth and being confident in who you are. The best way to get to the heart of your truth is to ask yourself these two questions: Who do I need to be to be happy now? What do I need to have in my life to be happy now?   Consider these questions in all aspects of your life and remove the harsh judgments that you might be prone to by instead approaching each day as if it is your last. With this perspective, you can choose to be happy and joyful without overanalyzing or obsessing over what you do not have.    The integration of faith into this mindset makes all the difference, helping you focus on something greater than yourself which will guide you to your highest joy and your best self.    Along this journey, it will be helpful to ground into your good feeling state. Think about a time when you felt the best in your life – the most worthy, the most loved, the most accepted, the most confident – and write down this experience. Refer back to it whenever you need to get grounded again in how you need to feel in order to cancel out negative thinking and unlock your light.   Melissa Kathryn then offers her description of the queen that all women should strive to be. The queen knows her worth and stands in it, dresses beautifully and exudes power, only eats nourishing food and always takes time for herself, uses her voice from her heart unapologetically, knows she is deserving of love, makes time for play and pleasure amidst her work, and she is mated with her own soul, whole and complete even without a partner. The queen confidently leads her kingdom because she is aligned and able to receive divine guidance to do so. You can be that queen.   What You’ll Learn:   Being in your feminine Owning your worth How to be the Queen Choosing happiness Practicing gratefulness Grounding in your good feeling state     LINKS:    “Dangerous Beauty” movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118892/    Melissa Kathryn’s website: http://melissakathryn.com/   “Eat Right for Your Archetype” by Melissa Kathryn: https://www.amazon.com/Eat-Right-Your-Archetype-Effortlessly-ebook/dp/B0196VK45Y   Eat Right for your Archetype Quiz: http://melissakathryn.com/quiz/ Follow Melissa on social media: Instagram: @Melissa.kathryn https://www.instagram.com/melissa.kathryn/   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/radiancemk/   Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp8zL6mzH5-Hs2R2Sxfdf7g

It's the wild west when it comes to beauty treatments and illegal devices are ending up in the hands of licensed skincare professionals in an industry that is virtually self regulated. Consumers on realself.com In this fourth edition of BEAUTY GPS - IN THE HOT SEAT WITH MARY SCHOOK Annette Hanson discusses how these devices ended up in spas and skin clinics. Spas have never been under more pressure to give the public results at any cost, but a growing number of devices used in spas are NOT cleared by the FDA and people are getting permanently damaged by estheticians who are practicing outside of their licenses and are embarrassed or afraid to report it. Incidences at spas can happen at any time, but it's time to educate the consumer on services being self regulated by the industry before to help prevent skincare casualties. Annette Hanson, founder of Atelier Esthetique Insititute, was instrumental in writing the curriculum for the New York state esthetics license and is heavily diplomaed Internationally through her studies in France with Carita, Payot and Lancome. Today, Skincare Industry Icon Annette Hanson is in the HOT SEAT to talk about spas and skin clinics that advertise high-tech procedures using illegal medical devices. Spas have never been under more pressure to give the public results at any cost, and a growing number of devices that are NOT cleared by the FDA are being performed out of the scope of the skincare pro’s license. The Times reported as far back as 2011 that personal injury from non-physician operators had risen by 78%. In my own practice consumers with severe or permanent damage are being sent to me on a weekly basis by doctors, dermatologists, and agents since I’m notorious for helping to calm the situation. Incidences at spas can happen at any time, but permanent damage is not only physically scarring, but emotionally scarring to the consumer. From what I gather most consumers are afraid or embarrassed to report their permanent damage as a result of these illegal services and equipment. These services are even on menus and visible in MAJOR department stores so the consumer can only assume they must be legal. Keep in mind that the skincare industry is having a wild west moment and the regulators have made it up to the industry to police itself. Reactions and random accidents are bound to happen, but it’s important to disclose everything to your chosen skincare provider to reduce any skincare mishaps. Annette Hanson, founder of Atelier Esthetique Insititute, was instrumental in writing the curriculum for the New York state esthetics license and is heavily diplomaed Internationally through her studies in France with Carita, Payot and Lancome. She is also a published author, educator, lecturer, and founder of two groundbreaking skincare lines. I kept this raw version of Annette Hanson’s interview because there’s just too much information that is beneficial to both the consumer and aspiring estheticians. Annette and I also talk about about her beauty hacks after over 40 years in the skincare industry and her non-surgical secrets to her youthful neckline and eyes. Please note that all opinions of Annette Hanson are that of her own and not to be taken as legal advice. You can check with your state’s laws and guidelines at beautygps.com for further information.

It's the "Movies We Love!" episode. Sean and Ben discuss two films which they both greatly enjoyed- "Ready Player One" and "Dangerous Beauty". One of these films features boobs and jedi mind tricks. The other includes corporate espionage and a bad movie date. Which is which??? Along the way, Sean and Ben also discuss cool cars, copyright infringement, unusual books, and the King of France. What an amazing podcast! Sorry about the audio quality. Ben finally got a job, so maybe he can afford to buy some mic stands so that they're not just shouting into a condenser mic from across the table. Unfortunately that also means he'll have less time for editing episodes. Look forward to big changes in our podcast as we try to figure out a format which better fits into the schedule of two gainfully employed dudes.

WE ARE RE-AIRING OUR JUNE 18TH CHAT WITH ACTOR, RUFUS SEWELL, AS AMAZON PRIME'S ACCLAIMED SERIES, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE WILL BE PREMIERING SEASON 3, ON OCTOBER 5TH.    Actor extraordinaire, Rufus Sewell, is no stranger to the theatre, film and television genres. In fact, he has been acting professionally for over 25 years, leaving his mark with his intensity, diversity, wit, piercing eyes and charm. His acclaimed film performances include A Man of No Importance, Dangerous Beauty, Dark City, A Knight’s Tale, The Illusionist, All Things to All Men, Hercules, and Tristan + Isolde. But, Rufus has also graced our TV screens with memorable roles in Middlemarch, Cold Comfort Farm, ShakespeaRe-Told, The Last King,  Eleventh Hour, The Pillars of the Earth and  Zen, just to name a few. Rufus is on the cusp of becoming an international heartthrob with his sensitive and  melancholy portrayal, of the beloved Lord Melbourne in Masterpiece Theatre’s “Victoria” He left the viewers in a tailspin of emotions and thousands of empty boxes of tissues. In Amazon Prime’s “The Man in the High Castle” he, yet again, left the viewers emotionally drained and conflicted in his intense performance as Obergruppenfuhrer, John Smith, the Nazi you love to hate. Rufus was once quoted as saying” I want to be able to do anything. I know it’s probably not reasonable to expect, but that’s what I’d like to do”. Well, Rufus, it seems very reasonable to us.

In episode No. 4 of the Femin Is series, I sat down with writer and curator Elisabeth Kirsch to talk about feminism and the Kansas City art scene of the 1970s. We talked about the challenges and limitations placed on women artists and how her early encounters with the feminist art movement influenced her career. I also wanted to hear about the Women Artists ‘77 exhibit, one of, if not the first, all-women regional shows at a time when women artists struggled to be included in galleries and museums. Kirsch was the gallery assistant for the exhibition and had a behind-the-scenes perspective on the process with juror and feminist art movement icon Miriam Schapiro. We also talked about a few of the artists she’s reviewed over the years and she revealed what may be one of my favorite bucket list items: to be a Guerrilla Girl for a day. Kirsch's Review of Linda Lighton:  Dangerous Beauty, Review magazine, August 2006 She also discussed an artist who showed at the Douglas Drake Gallery. You can see a wide range of collages by Vivian Torrence here. As solid evidence that Elisabeth Kirsch is still hard at work, here is the latest review by Kirsch, of artist Hyeyoung Shin and her recent exhibition, "Unapologetic," at Studios Inc. Finally, during our interview, I asked Kirsch about the impact of the Women Artists 77 Exhibition in the following years. Looking at the longer term, I think it is a safe bet to say that one of those lasting impacts was to influence a young student who would go on to contribute volumes of thought and energy to the Kansas City arts scene.

The Wigglian Way Pagan Podcast

Hello Wigglians! We just had the opportunity to interview two fantastic Red Wheel/Weiser authors and they are ready to go for Episode 143 of The Wigglian Way. First, I spoke with Courtney Weber who wrote the most useful (to me) tarot book yet. It's called Tarot for One. There are exercises for you to do to better know yourself and tarot. The second interview is with the writer of Love Magic, Lilith Dorsey. Considering how Wigglians feel about love magic in general, this book is a keeper. Not only does Lilith have great spells for all kinds of love, she discusses the ethics of love magic, which to us, is quite important. Our Feature Album for this episode Meredead, by Leaves Eyes. We hear: 1. Meredead 2. Velvet Heart 3. Spirit's Masquerade We also hear 2 Know, 2 Will, 2 Dare, 2 Rock from the album Tip My Cup to the Gods, by Witch's Mark. To complete the musical part of the show we have Pandemonaeon (so sexy) with Lover's Pardon from Dangerous Beauty. You are all Wigglian Dangerous beauties and we love you! Thanks for listening.

Told ya! We had no doubts. We are really stoked about the show and all the interviews, information, and interesting add ons that we want to bring you in upcoming episodes.  This episode was pretty special for us to make. It didn't start that way. At first we were both going to do informational segments. I know I had mine prepared and ready to go, and I am almost positive that Mojo's segment was polished to gleaming as well.  Those segments so didn't happen. I had asked on Facebook if anyone wanted to weigh in on my "Forgiveness" (now) series. The specific topic was on "forgiving onself" and we got some great replies. I opened my email to find a well thought out response from a dear friend. When I read her response I knew that we had to invite Brenda Titus on the show to share her thoughts on forgiveness and the work she is doing in that vein. Brenda is a hypnotherapist and you can find her at Orange County Hypnotherapy. You can join or follow Brenda at her at her Healing Path Hypnosis facebook page.  Our feature album AND first segment are all HEATHER DALE. Heather Dale ROCKS. We love her! When you meet her you will too. We love you too Ben! Mojo got to sit down over skype and talk with Heather about her new crowdfunding project. We think the Celtic Avalon tour would be massively successful and so much fun. To view and support Heather's project click here. You know you wanna!   From Heather Dale we presen The Gabriel Hounds. From this album we hear Mountain,  Odin's Other Eye, and to wrap up the show, Joan.  Sadly, very sadly, we cannot make it to Pantheacon this year. Our friends Sharon and Winter are playing the Cedar/Pine room on Saturday night at 9pm, with their band Pandemoneaon. From the album Dangerous Beauty we hear The Tower and Queen of Shadows.

The Wigglian Way Pagan Podcast

First, I seem to have a code in my node but that didn't stop us from making this episode. Twice. Long story, but I think Mojo covers it in the show.  Wow, did we ever have a great time at Pantheacon 2013. For anyone who missed it, we missed you, and we hope to see you next year. Both of us LOVE the atmosphere at Con. It's so us and we have so much fun.  Some of the fun we had included gorgeous ladies of music. I got to interview Wendy Rule and Sharon Knight. Together. At the same time. I was sweating (er...glowing) bullets. However, they were both so kind and so generous with their thoughts that they made it easy for me. I know you will enjoy the interview.  Wendy and Sharon both have courses that are beginning very soon. Wendy's is called Living a Life of Magic and Sharon's is The Ring of Enchantment. I am so tempted to take both these courses.  Of course, considering that they are both musicians, all our music this episode comes from Wendy and Sharon. The feature album is Live at the Castle on the Hills, by Wendy Rule. From that cd we hear Dance of the Wild Faeries, Animus, and Guided by Venus.  From Pandemonaeon we hear The Goat is on the Pole from Dangerous Beauty and The Shimmering Sheen from the album Pandemonaeon (in this song Winter does the main vocals).  We were so lucky to win a silent auction at Pantheacon for a gorgeous Grandfather drum called "SunDog". He is a beautiful and already well loved part of our coven and the rest of the group hasn't even met him! "SunDog" was created by Don Schulz who is the proprietor of The Different Drum. Thanks so much Don!  We met Dodie McKay for the first time at Pantheacon. She is a film maker and fellow Canadian. Dodie's film, The Winnipagans is on our coven movie night list, and I cannot wait to see it.  That wraps that up! Thanks for listening! Thanks for walking, The Wigglian Way.

The Wigglian Way Pagan Podcast

Buenos Noches, dear listeners! We hope that you are having a most wonderful time in this cold month! We made it back and forth from PantheaCon in one piece! Another great Wigglian road trip and as usual, you had something to do with it! Tonight we talk about our first PantheaCon experience. Feature Album is by Pandemonaeon, the 2010 release, Dangerous Beauty. From Dangerous Beauty we hear Dangerous Beauty and Hunter, we end the show with Eater of Sorrow. We also hear from Kan'Nal with Space Child and Cruachan's Summoning of the Sidhe. Podkin Love! Thank's to everyone we met over the weekend at PantheaCon! You made the weekend great! It's all about the Love!
