Character Introduction: Kin no ShitaKin no Shita is an incubus heartthrob who could charm the scales off an alligator—and probably has. Deomons of all kinds are common in this world, though a true incubus, walking around in the daylight with his companion is rare.Websters Definition for Incubus HERE.I'd been calling him a succubus. Forget I did that. Please. I'm begging you. This blue blood dreamboat survives on sexual energy, slurping up desire like it's Mrs. Piddlehinton's finest raspberry tart. Sauntering into her red house bakery, he's a walking temptation with golden hair, cheekbones sharp enough to cut bread, and pretty eyes that scream “trouble” louder than a banshee at a bake sale. His smile, complete with a cheeky fang, is a weapon, and his voice—smooth as melted butter—turns every sentence into a flirty wink. When he snaps his fingers to hush the shop's bell, you know he's the kind of guy who makes the room sit up and blush.Kin's got a thing for humans, whose juicy emotions are his favorite snack, and he's got his arm around Lisa, his stunning sidekick, like she's his personal dessert tray. But there's something Margo, our flour-dusted heroine, dosen't know. She is a walking buffet of pent-up passion, thanks to a pesky geis from her sorcerer dad that locks her chastity tighter than a witch-locked pantry. This spell makes anyone interested in her sick with allergy like symptoms. If they touch her bare skin, they will react to her like a poision, so that all attempts at phsical intimacy kill arousal, they could also, potentally, kill the one who touches her.Unfortunately for them both, Margo's bottled up energy is like catnip to an incubus. She doesn't know she's radiating enough repressed desire to power a swamp generator, but Kin sure does.Mrs. Piddlehinton even jokes he'd ditch Lisa for a shot at Margo—or maybe invite her for a spicy group bake. Kin's a guy who loves a challenge, and Margo's untouchable vibe is the ultimate blue blood bait.In this episode talk about how I see Kin – as part the anime my daughter watches part this guy:I hope you are enjoying the story! In a world where ley lines of magic act like live wires of potential anything can happen. People and creatures appear and disappear, monsters loom, and friends arrive in all the strangest of ways. Chapter 3: Men and HorsesIn Greenly Foggart's swampy heart, a new shadow loomed—Cailean Rhys, an each-uisge whose beauty masked a predator's chill. Margo, ever wary of blue bloods, saw his arrival as a taunt, his imperious gaze stirring nightmares of judgment and vulnerability. As rent loomed and Mrs. P's bakery buzzed, this water spirit's presence promised trouble—or worse. What will life be like after the apocalypse? Nothing. Like. This. In this story, the world shattered on January 1, 2000—Apocalypse Day—when the veil between realities was torn apart, unleashing magic and chaos across Earth. Cities crumbled, governments disappeared, and a dark fantasies appeared where cities once lit up the sky. Supernatural beings—the blue bloods, now rule and humans are their slaves, or worse, their prey.Meet The Main Character - this is a first person point of view story. Margo Sanchu: A 26-year-old human with sun-darkened olive skin and thick black hair. Pretty face, big light- gray eyes. Curvy shape. Cuban descent. An escaped “professional virgin,” she bears the scars of her sacrifices, the missing tips of both pinky fingers are the most glaring scars. She's bound with a geis – a spell that keeps her locked in her virginal state and deters any male who is sexually interested in her- no man can touch her without itching, sneezing, or worse. The only way to end the risk of being forced to serve as a virgin sacrifice is to break the spell and stop being a virgin.* Upcoming vote: Should Margo be two years older or a year younger?* Upcoming vote: I'm not in love with her name. Change Margo's Name?* Upcoming vote: What should Margo's name be if we change it. Andres Sanchu: Margo's father, a sorcerer frozen at age fifty. Obsessed with power, he'd carved her into his tool, using manipulation and lies. She knows that he, and any sorcerer would do anything to get their hands on her and force her back into her role as sacrifice.Unnamed Mother: A crackhead and latent witch Margo's mother disappeared before Apocalypse day.Upcoming Vote: Margo's mother needs a name. Do you have an enemy we can name her after? I started writing this world five years ago on wattpad. It's a mess, but it's still there. I refined and contiuned the world in the book Claiming Starlight, a very spicy fantasy paranormal mash-up, and I'm continuing it—with your help—in Blue Blood. Sorcerer (n.)A human practitioner of powerful magic, often aligned with secretive factions like the Sorcerers League, who emerged or gained prominence after Apocalypse Day, January 1, 2000, when magic flooded Earth. Skilled in rituals and spellcasting, sorcerers wielded blood magic—using innocents or "professional virgins" like Margo for potent sacrifices—despite the First Law's prohibition, enforced by the Reaper. Marked by ambition and manipulation, they sought to control magical beings and artifacts, exploiting ley lines and the post-apocalyptic chaos. Margo viewed them as cruel and obsessive, exemplified by her father, Andres Sanchu, whose abuses left her scarred and convinced they warped humanity into tools for power, their cunning masked by a veneer of purpose.Read more from this story on REAMFind my socials and hype me up with a follow: https://hype.co/@isoellenThanks for listening and following along! In case you're wondering, estries are Jewish owl-shifting bread-eating female vampires! This book is my new favorite, and I'm not the only one. This debut novel won gold from the Sydney Taylor Book Award AND the National Jewish Book Award! I welcome back Paranormal/Romance Author Wendy M. Kok to the show. It's always a pleasure chatting with Wendy. On this episode we talk about Wendy's new audible book just released, A Grey Resort. A Grey Resort is also released in paperback and eBook as well. An Awakening is the second book in that series released also. I've read both and I must say they are in deed worth the purchase. Wendy is currently putting the final touches on the third and final book in the series that will be released in the spring of 2025.Along with Wendy's books, she also has a fantastic podcast called The Juicy Pair. The Juicy pair touches on the paranormal along with many other interesting guests and topics that keep you coming back for more.We also touch on Wendy's latest adventure of jumping out of a plane. This week Fika with Vicky is thrilled and chilled to welcome Author Victoria Clapton. Reading “Of Myth and Memento Mori” on a rainy September afternoon, I was transported to Halloween. I could smell autumn as I walked the haunted trails of a pumpkin farm, feel my hands grow warmer as they held a steaming cup of hot chocolate, and see the mist and the secrets it held. Enchanted by these things, and the naturally smooth storytelling, I knew this was a book for Fika, and my Halloween pick for 2024. We'll also be looking into one of Victoria's series “The Binding Universe.” There are many more. You don't have to bring a coffee, Herschel will be happy to serve you any of your Fika favourites at Hiraeth Hollow Halloween. About Victoria - Southern-born Victoria Clapton is no stranger to writing. She completed her first book of poetry at age eight and her first novel at age thirteen. Then, the attacks begin. Soon, Lenore and her friends face a nightmare from folklore; a bedtime story comes to life. [00:02:30]Multifaceted Background - The conversation covers Leslye's unique background in film and computer science and how these fields have influenced her writing career. [00:33:45]Importance of Community - Leslye emphasizes the value of having a supportive community for writers and creators, and how it has influenced her journey. [00:42:30]Key Takeaways:Embrace Your Unique Journey: Leslye Penelope's path to becoming an award-winning author was non-traditional, involving a background in film and computer science. This highlights the lesson that individual experiences and diverse skills can contribute to one's success as a writer, and that there is no single, correct path to achieving success in the arts. The Writing Process is a Series of Decisions: Leslye's discussion about her writing process, from the inception of an idea to the final draft, underscores the lesson that writing is a complex endeavor requiring numerous decisions. This includes the choice of genre, plot development, character creation, and the incorporation of feedback, all of which are critical to crafting a compelling story.Community and Feedback are Vital: The conversation about the importance of community for creators and the role of trusted feedback in refining one's work teaches the lesson that authors should not work in isolation. Engaging with a community of readers and fellow writers can provide the support and constructive criticism necessary to improve one's craft and navigate the challenges of literary categorization.Leslye's Social Media Links:Website: lpenelope.comX(twitter): @leslyepenelopeInstagram: leslyepenelopeFacebook: Leslye/L. Obsession Month may be almost over, but if Lisa Frankenstein (2024) has taught us anything, it's that not even death is permanent. For our last episode all about love that crosses the line, we knew we had to cover Diablo Cody's new horror romance. Starring scream queen Kathryn Newton and a nearly mute Cole Sprouse (possibly the ideal Cole Sprouse), this fantastical flick combines the bright color palette of the '80s with the weird world of Jennifer's Body — and then brings it all to life with a broken tanning bed. We don't know if it's too soon to declare this movie a cult classic, but one thing we can say with confidence is that it's definitely going to join our Spooky Tuesday sleepover lineup.
