Growing up in Goodyear, Arizona, Carrick Felix was bullied, called names and struggled academically. Despite his early hardships, he was able to slowly find refuge and success on the hardwood. Carrick played college basketball at the College of Southern Idaho/Arizona State University, and was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft.  After retiring from professional basketball, he found his true calling, helping people live more meaningful, fulfilled lives. He's now the CEO/Founder of IMC, working as a Personal Development Coach and Keynote Speaker. Carrick's journey has been characterized by incredible perseverance, great skill... and he's managed to succeed, while others predicted he would fail.

Carrick Felix, was an All-PAC-12 basketball star at Arizona State University where he earned a master's degree in communications, so we know he'll be easy to talk with. He was drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers until a crippling knee injury sidelined him for a while. In 2017, after a grueling rehabilitation, he made the final cut to play for the Washington Wizards. Believe it or not, we didn't ask Carrick here to talk about sports. Carrick Felix is a former NBA player, TEDx speaker, and tech entrepreneur. Carrick is an Arizona native and the founder of IMC. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2013 where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degree in Communications, finishing with a 3.85 GPA. During his time at Arizona State University Carrick was a member of the men’s basketball team where he received honors such as; Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the PAC 12, PAC 12 Player of the Week 4 times, ESPN Player of the Month, as well as being honored on the Dean’s List. Carrick was then drafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, selected 33rd overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside #1 pick Anthony Bennet.
