Author Frank E. Bittinger writes of the complex and dichotomous dark world. All his passions, both joyous and otherwise, are woven into missives that horrify and edify fans of this complex genre. His key strokes chill, then warm, then tickle. He's a vegan who writes of blood. He's an animal advocate, despite the treacherous condition of the human beast. His cast of characters are either very pretty, or pretty despicable, and we'd expect nothing less of a trained cosmetologist who knows how to paint . . . in the flesh and on paper. And he's funny. All things claustrophobic, sinister and eerie collide, and then drip with humor. Think guilty grins and cemeteries -- and read ahead to unearth the wicked funny bones buried within this black, black "plot."

Tonight's show is about a woman who never thought she would be a published author. She wrote many things and put them aside never dreaming that one day she would not only see her work in print, but she would touch the lives of people she never knew. That woman is my friend Peggy Engeler. She is the church secretary, retired secretary for a law firm, owns a fox red lab. And to add to that she is a woman of a certain age. We all know that age. The one when we think we are too old to do.... whatever it is we want to do. News flash we are never to old. So join me as I talk about Peggy and how she got started, the books she has released and how she is living her best life.
There are bodies piling up in Key West…. Serial Killer? The bodies showing up outside a famous drag bar….is that a clue or a coincidence? A book that delves into the Life of a Drag Queen and a marvelous “Who done it?” Clever! Let's go into their world of Mascara and Stiletto Heels and observe. Who could be killing all these gay men and why? Yvonne Mason is the master, or mistress, of mystery in this rip roaring, fishnet stocking twisiting comedy mystery tale. This story could very well could have really happened as Yvonne Mason connects this story with some undisputed truth and history of NYC underworld and the “World Famous 82 Club”… it just might have happened, see for yourself…. Does the detective has a love/hate relationship with the Drag Queen or is it a lot less Hate and more Love than admitted? Exciting and Hilarious! Who will be next on the list of murder? The story is as seen through the main character's eyes and what eyes they are! Lou the mild mannered detective by day and Lola a FABULOUS drag queen by night who can get into all kinds of trouble!! How her friends try to help her find the killer and catch the monster behind these unspeakable murders.I have been a Drag Queen for over 40 years and this is the first time I have been asked to collaborate on a book. Drag Queens are my speciality and I have worked in Cabaret shows since 1968 as well as extensively in Musical Theater, Television, Radio and Films. I really was excited and honored to help with the book and this book was an ultimate thrill for me.Thanks toYvonne Mason for her faith in me, and for having the insight to choose me to help her navigate this drag queen world. Thanks to Peter for his energy and Marvolous Wit…We will always be connected with this superb Book! Vicky Lane
I write for AMR Publishing , aka Andrea Mile Rhoads. She puts out several Anthologies a year and I along with several other writers put together some of the best reading you will ever read. We have down thrillers, crime, romance, well not me, Christmas, you name it she puts it on. Usually she has a release party on Facebook and invites all to attend. Since I have revived the show, I thought it only befitting that we all come together and blow this little horror anthology out of the water here on Off The Chain. Yep, you will be able to call in and talk to your favorite author. There are five of us in the little jewel, T Elizabeth Guthrie, Pete Thorn, WS Greer, Virginia Johnson and me. This Show was set up a couple of weeks ago. Last night we lost our fearless leader Andrea Miles Rhoads. So in honor of her ..... the tribe will have this show for her. Yes, some of our authors will be live on the show and yes we will talk about The Locked Door. However, we also want to talk about Andrea and how she has impacted our lives. How we met her, how we have been on this journey with her and what she means to us a freind, publisher and go to person. A huge hole has been torn in the tapstry of our industry. One that will never be repaired. Fly high with the Angels my friend. You are already so missed

I was taking a walk through my new neighborhood and noticed one of my neighbor's dogs on a chain in the backyard. There was a perfect path where the poor thing had paced so much at the end of his chain that there was bare lawn. The owner noticed my concern and said, “Oh, that's Dingo; he has way too much energy”. I said, “well, do you ever take him off his chain?”. With a horrified expression he replied, “I can't do that, he'd run away”. Unlike this poor dog, in Christ, our Heavenly Father has let us off the chain. And we have the freedom to choose a relationship with Him or not. Galatians 5, verse 1 says, “It is for freedom that we have been set free”. In Christ, we're His sons and daughters, not slaves. He draws us in with perfect love, not demands. He paid the greatest price to call you home, so don't allow anything to you back on a chain.

At the heart of Verdi's opera “Aida” is an African love story, where an Egyptian general and an Ethiopian princess fall in love. It premiered in Cairo in 1871, but the truth is, very few Africans went to see it, let alone could afford the price of a ticket. This was a European conception of the East, for European audiences at a time when Egypt's leadership was attempting to make Egypt ‘the Paris of the East.' Verdi's “Aida” often portrays Egyptians as white and free and Ethiopians and black and enslaved, reinforcing colonial stereotypes and colorism, still present in many modern day productions. Verdi's “Aida” opera painted a picture of Africa for colonial consumption, and subjected its Egypt and Ethiopian characters to stereotypes and colorism that run rampant through even modern productions. In this episode of Every Voice with Terrance Mcknight: Joined by bass baritone Sir Willard White as the King of Egypt, soprano Angela Brown as Aida, and mezzo soprano Raehann Bryce Davis as Amneris; we hear from “Aida's” African characters in their own voices. This episode is hosted by Terrance McKnight. The Executive Producer is Tony Phillips. The Executive Producer for WQXR Podcasts is Elizabeth Nonemaker. Tyler fought nail and tooth for 5 years to join the military. Finally after 5 years he was told yes. He had his ship out date and could not have been more excited. He shipped out, and within 2 weeks, he dislocated his knee at BCT. He was still training and trying to still make it in the military. 4 days before his company graduated AIT, they informed him of his medical discharged. 5 years in the making down the drain. When he got home he started a gaming crew of friends called "The Military Rejects." Hence the day the name was born. They only employ people who are either in, has been in, or tried and can show proof they tried to be in the military. https://www.facebook.com/militaryrejectapparel https://instagram.com/militaryrejectapparel?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://www.tiktok.com/@militaryrejectapparel?_t=8W7GeYks94Y&_r=1 https://t.snapchat.com/r7xuDjio

How much does adoption cost? How do I place my child for adoption? Can my spouse adopt my child from a previous relationship? Can biological parents change their decision and have their child returned to their custody? How do adoption agencies work? The questions are near endless. This book will cover these topics and guide you, so that you can make the best decisions to grow your family through adoption. You will be prepared, competent, and confident to make the first step in your adoption journey and with every step along the way. Stacy Gleaton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Mexico and Texas. She has worked in multiple social work settings over the years. One such social work job was with Child Protective Services (CPS) in New Mexico, where she first professionally learned about foster care and adoption. Stacy then continued to conduct home studies, but this time in the private sector. In 2015, Stacy began working with the military population and found it to be generally mistaken as a poor resource for an adoptive family; she enjoys advocating for military families in their adoption journey. It is her hope that this book will give you the comfort and competence needed to begin your adoption journey! Richard Nelson is 27 years old and was born in Dayton, Ohio. His father was a classical guitar teacher and taught Nelson to play acoustic guitar at a young age. Later, Nelson taught himself electric guitar and bass and performed for talent shows and small rock gigs in high school with his teenage garage band Big Pink. Nelson also studied trombone through high school and became an esteemed jazz trombonist in the state of Tennessee, winning top chairs in multiple All-State bands. Nelson attended Auburn University where he continued to pursue music both academically and as a hobby, performing with The Auburn Knights Orchestra and The Andrew Thielen Big Band. Nelson's first gig in Clovis was a solo acoustic show at Bandolero Brewery, where he showcased how he branches away from the typical country-western setlists and performed songs of every genre, to include metal and pop. Parker Baum is 29 years old and was born in Pasadena, Texas. During Baum's childhood, his father instilled in him a passion for rock n roll, listening to bands like Boston, ELO, Motley Crue and Def Leppard, and paved the way for Baum's music interest. Enamored by drummers like Tommy Lee, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, and Rick Allen, Baum found himself behind his first drum kit as a freshman in high school and knew he had found his calling. He spent the following years aiding students with recording projects. In Lubbock, Texas, he drummed for a metal act before moving to Alpine. It was here that he met another musician, Anthony Ray Wright who recruited Baum to assist with his country act. In December of 2016 Baum was featured on SA LIVE in San Antonio for a Christmas special. Electing to pursue other passions in his life, Baum took a brief musical hiatus broken in 2021 by forming the band The Owl's Offering with vocalist Kyle Liddell. Baum records powerful backup vocals in addition to producing brutal technical drum parts.

Rodney Perry loves the spotlight at center stage and will never abandon his life as a stand-up comedian delivering his brazen reality based comedy. With 24 years of marriage and six children (5 girls and 1 boy) Perry is an expert on all things family and rips the seams of crowds that attend his shows to hear all about his fatherhood fodder. Perry finds delight in giving back and sharing what he's learned over the years with his weekly improv classes that he hosts in Atlanta where he calls home. Comedy is his forte, however, this funny man isn't afraid to explore his serious side in roles as is evident his appearances in the film “Mr. Right” where he gets to flex his acting chops alongside actor Columbus Short as well as the upcoming drama Broad Street Bullies where he plays a notorious gangster. Adding producer to his long list of credentials he's also producing shows like the independent release, A Song for Jordan. The early years of comedy found Perry his first gig as a writer/warm up guy for Kim Whitley on her talk show “Oh Drama.” Being on the scene, he was able to parlay his skills into opportunity and began opening for the likes of George Lopez, Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer, to name a few. He would spend the next 10 years nonstop on television in various capacities. Hosting comedy shows like “Who's Got Jokes” helped him fine tune his craft and fueled the fire for the screen, big and small. Catching the attention of comedy lovers and industry shot callers alike, Perry got another big break with a starring role as “Harold” in Tyler Perry's “Madea's Big Happy Family” and it's only been a meteoric ride on the fast track ever since. Perry has since found a home at Bounce TV where as the host of his own comedy show “Off the Chain” he would spend the next several years giving Bounce TV its leverage in the cable market with his ever increasing ratings. “Off The Chain” would go on to become a sold out tour and in addition he would also break records for the young network with his number 1 rated comedy special “Rodney Perry: 44 and Still Ticking” Perry is resilient having survived a stroke that left him without the use of his left side. He was tireless during the rehabilitation process and today you'd be hard pressed to see any deficit in his body post stroke. He recently added COVID-19 survivor to the list, he assures us this is not deliberate. Rodney is a winner and a fighter but he takes no credit for his survival. He gives God all the credit and the glory. He believes God still has some duties that he must complete. Currently Perry is appearing in the film Coming to America 2, which should have a Christmas release. He is also producing and starring in a SiriusXM show called “That Jokers's Funny”. Rodney is also scheduled to co-write, direct and produce an 8 episode small series for Comedy Hype the internet magazine entitled “Someone You Should Know”. Rodney just won't stop!!
