If you've been feeling stuck, spiritually dry, or just going through the motions, this message is for you. In this sermon from our Half-Hearted series, Pastor Joey McLaughlin shares a practical and hope-filled call to move from burnout, distraction, and emotional exhaustion into a life of purpose, peace, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus. This message speaks to anyone searching for meaning or longing for a deeper connection with God—reminding us that real transformation doesn't come from doing more, but from returning to what matters most. Through simple, biblical practices like time with God, community, generosity, and worship, you'll be encouraged to rediscover joy, clarity, and the fullness of life God created you for.
Financial anxiety, a $100 million church renovation, and Joel Osteen's mansion — Brian opens the show with some honest questions about money, contentment, and whether our attitudes toward both line up with the posture of Jesus. Then, a disturbing story from one of the country's largest school districts, where teachers may be keeping parents in the dark about their children's gender transitions. Plus: the fascinating differences of Gen Z, including why nearly half of them report feeling anxious all the time. Brian closes with a convicting list from pastor JD Greer — five subtle symptoms of a spiritual heart condition — and a challenge to stop hiding behind correct doctrine and a busy calendar, and return to your first love.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We want to hear from you! Send us some Fan mail! What happens when we keep ignoring the signs God gives us?
Send us Fan MailMany of us have had this experience routinely - we think we are doing good and then we do something that reveals our heart is not good. We try to be good but to no avail it seems. Trusting in Jesus and being open and honest with Him about our wretched hearts is the first step to victory.
Jadyn shares a message finalizing our Check Your Heart Series challenging us with a simple question: What do you treasure? He shares practically about how we're called to handle money well and how we're to die to self in the area of our wallets and wealth.
Alex shares about how control can become an idol in our life in trying to take our own lives in our hands and as a result fear stepping out of our comfort zones to where God may be leading. She encourages us to hand control back to God in the fear of the Lord and allow Him to be King in our lives again.
Tyler unpacks the need for us to lay down the idol of comfort & apathy and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.
Caleb unpacks the importance of Deuteronomy 6:4-5 and what it means to love God with all our heart, soul & strength. February 2026, 1st Sunday Communion Message.
Crispin shares from Matthew 20:20-28 and challenges us to ask ourselves what do we really want from closeness to Jesus and how we can avoid the temptation of status or power.
Caleb launches our new teaching series, Check Your Heart, and unpacks how God calls us to have no other gods before Him and to be those who love & follow Him wholeheartedly.
Jaclyn reviews Matthew 15 and the hearts of the Pharisees as they strive to follow their own man-made laws rather than God's laws. SummaryIn this episode of "Coffee & Christ," Robert Bolden shares his transformative journey through faith and community. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the desires of one's heart, drawing from Matthew 6:21, which states that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Bolden encourages listeners to reflect on their own desires and how they align with their spiritual journey, highlighting the significance of community and connection in living out one's faith. He shares personal anecdotes about his experiences in community-building and the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit in daily life. The conversation transitions into a reading from Galatians 5, where Bolden discusses the acts of the flesh versus the fruits of the Spirit. He reflects on the challenges of modern culture, including issues like selfish ambition and divisiveness, and how these can distract from a life led by the Spirit. Bolden concludes with a powerful reminder of the transformative power of Jesus and the importance of self-discipline in overcoming life's challenges, encouraging listeners to trust in God's power for change.Takeaways"Don't overthink it. True transformation starts with the heart. Choosing peace, purity, and truth leads to authentic living and strengthens your connection with God and others.
Sometimes the best answer to the question of whether something is right or wrong is:It depends… Our passage today begins with Mary performing an act of extravagant love! But Judas complains! “This stuff is expensive! It could have been sold to take care of the poor!” Which is true, but notice how Jesus responds: “Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my burial. For the poor you will always have with you, but you do not always have me.” (Vs. 7)Was Jesus implying that we shouldn't take care of the poor?!Of course not! He was saying; Circumstance matters! If you're wondering what the right thing to do is in any given situation:Check your heart!Message: Check Your Heart Scripture: John 12:1-11
This Morning Glory Devotion titled "Check Your Heart" reminds us to give attention to the state of our hearts towards God as often as possible. This was aired on Radio HCI Today via the WeLove Radio App.

Is your vision clear enough to see your own heart before judging others? ABOUT THIS MESSAGE: In "Clear Vision, Clean Heart," we explore Jesus' powerful teaching on hypocritical judgment from Matthew 7:1-5. Like trying to navigate with a foggy mirror, our own sins and flaws can distort our vision, leading us to judge others harshly while ignoring our own issues. This sermon calls us to first examine our hearts, confront our sins, and embrace the transformative grace of the cross. Only then can we help others with humility, clarity, and love. I've had a recent prompting and examination of my heart after praying Psalm 139: 23 “Search me, God, and know my heart.” Here's what I figured out … don't ask if you're not willing to respond to God's findings. He went to work on bringing to light why I do what I do. Where's my […]

A lot of the times, we fail to check our own hearts and motives on a daily basis. We cry out to God and ask Him for us to make us pure; but we must look at the deepest parts of our hearts to then examine it. Check your heart, sets you on the path for repentance in order to progress in purity. The goal of a follower of Jesus should be to allow our hearts to break for thethings that break God's heart. When you are faced with another person in a tough situation or in desperate need, how does your heart respond?
One way to test the spiritual condition of your heart is to listen to the words you say. In Matthew 15:10–20, Jesus teaches that the words we say reveal what's in our hearts. Monitoring the nature of your words can help you monitor the condition of your heart. When it comes to your heart, do you hear yourself?
