Your team is capable. Your vision is clear. Your meetings are happening. And yet execution keeps failing. This episode diagnoses exactly why. Most leaders look at poor execution and blame the team. They add more check-ins, more reporting, more pressure. And the execution problem continues.Because the problem is not your people. It is your execution chain.Every organization has an invisible chain connecting vision to outcome. When that chain is intact, execution is fluid. When it breaks — even at one point — everything downstream stalls. And here is what most leaders miss. The chain almost never breaks at the bottom. It breaks at the top. In the structure around decision-making. In the translation between what was decided and what was understood. In the handoff between authority and accountability.Today we break down the four specific places where the Implementation pillar fails inside organizations. The decision-to-action lag. The unclear accountability handoffs. The missing feedback loop on execution. And the most expensive breakdown of all — every execution decision escalating back to the leader. This is not an episode about motivation or discipline. This is a structural diagnosis of why your vision is not becoming consistent execution — and what specifically needs to change.Book the Fulfill Leadership Audit Three slots available. 90 minutes. We map your execution chain, identify exactly where the Implementation breakdown is occurring and what needs to change structurally.
Clarity is not optional. It is the difference between momentum and chaos. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why clear communication is one of the most powerful tools a leader can develop. Let's be real… If your market does not understand your offer… They will not buy. And if your team does not understand the mission… They will not execute. In this episode, you'll learn: Why complexity destroys sales and slows down execution How unclear messaging confuses your audience and kills conversions Why your team needs specific targets, not vague motivation How clear vision attracts A players and creates stronger alignment The truth is simple: A confused mind does not move. Your clients need to know exactly what problem you solve. Your team needs to know exactly what winning looks like. And your leadership needs to communicate the mission with absolute precision. No vague goals. No complicated messaging. No unclear expectations. Just direct communication. Clear standards. And measurable execution. Because when the vision is clear… The team moves faster. The market understands the value. And the business scales smoother. Speak plainly. Define the target. Lead with certainty. Your Network is your NETWORTH! Most urgent care owners spend time training their teams on what to do.But very few take the time to explain why it matters. In this episode of Walk-Ins Welcome, Nick and Michael break down the concept of vision casting and why it is one of the most overlooked drivers of team alignment, culture, and growth in urgent care clinics. The conversation was sparked by a real client situation where staff resistance wasn't a training issue. It was a lack of clarity around direction. They unpack how failing to communicate the vision leads to confusion, disengagement, and resistance to change. More importantly, they walk through how to fix it. From telling the story of how your clinic started to clearly defining where it's going, this episode gives a practical framework for building buy-in at every level of your team.If your clinic is implementing changes but your staff isn't fully on board, this is the conversation you need.
David and Todd walk through Matthew 16:1-12, contrasting the hardened skepticism of the Pharisees with the confused yet teachable hearts of the disciples. Jesus' call to us is to pursue a clear and growing understanding of Him, guarding against distorted beliefs and trusting the truth of who He is as revealed in Scripture.

When Alex Golesh says his offense at Auburn Tigers football will have an “identity,” it's more than just coach speak — it's a direct response to years of confusion, inconsistency, and offensive frustration on the Plains. In this episode, I break down what that identity could actually look like. What are the core principles Golesh is likely to build around? Tempo? Physicality? Quarterback-driven playmaking? Explosiveness? And just as important — how will it be different from what Auburn fans have endured for far too long? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Part 4 shifts from “what annoys us” to the deeper stuff: what becomes iconic, what makes us anxious, and what actually fires us up as collectors. Chris McGill lays out what might be the biggest collector question of the next decade: you can't reliably predict which cards will transcend their peers, but you can study how it happens. His take is that a card needs to hit the “main stage” of the hobby consciousness. People need to see it, compare it, and give it time for lineage and tradition to develop. He uses Nikola Jokic as an example, contrasting staple products with one season “one offs” like Clear Vision. Then he goes even further: what if the next wave is driven by collectors chasing obscurities and “forgotten artifacts” because everyone keeps posting the same cards? Josh Adams agrees prediction is brutal and adds a personal angle from the 1990s. Sometimes your collecting tastes are shaped by what your local shop actually had, and those experiences stick. From the chat and the panel: unpriced cards at shows are still a top annoyance whether the rookie card logo belongs on inserts why some collectors accept rookie year cards as meaningful even if they are not base rookies sticker autos vs on card autos, and how scarcity of options can force exceptions redemptions, and how Upper Deck says they have cut them down significantly Then Chris tosses a great question: what is your biggest source of hobby anxiety? Shipping cards, traveling with cards, auctions, and that final 10 seconds of bidding all come up. The chat adds more: postal delays, collection value swings, and fear that the hobby gets mistreated by people who do not love it. We also get a quick prospect moment: Josh asks about Oliver Moore, and Jason explains how inclusion can depend on debut timing and autograph deals. Finally, Chris flips the script to the opposite of anxiety: what actually gets your hobby juices flowing? For Jason it's new product concepts and the rush to get them to market. For Josh it's the hunt and finally landing the card you've been chasing. For Jeremy it's discovery, aesthetics, and going down rabbit holes on platforms like COMC, plus the real physical “butterflies” reaction a card can create. This is one of those segments that explains why we do this in the first place. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Companies claim they're too busy for AI, and leadership teams are bloated and ineffective. The UK's productivity crisis won't be solved by working harder. These aren't controversial opinions, they're the reality Gerry Tombs is seeing as he helps businesses navigate the AI transformation after scaling ClearVision from a garage startup to £7 million in revenue and 100 people before a successful exit three years ago.In this episode, Gerry breaks down why AI will expose leaders who aren't pulling their weight, why managers will soon oversee hybrid teams of humans and AI agents, and how the millennial generation (29-44) is perfectly positioned to lead in the AI era. He also shares the brutal lessons from scaling ClearVision over 25 years—from staying in hiring too long, to ring-fencing innovation teams, to building enough trust that his leadership team could hold each other accountable rather than relying on him to fire underperformers. And yes, he hit number one in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For—but missed the ceremony due to a migraine. What you'll learn:
Having a vision for where you are heading, what you truly desire, and the world you want to help build, can increase your happiness and help you flourish. But you don't live in the vision. You must live fully present and awake in this day. This is where you commit to the brave and vulnerable work of daily practice. It's only with daily practice that you bring your vision to life. But also this day is a gift. Tomorrow is not a guarantee. How you use today is how you show up tomorrow. How you treat yourself today impacts the fruit you grow 3 months or 3 years down the road. Looking back to witness your progress and be proud of yourself is healthy and wise. Looking ahead to map out where you're heading or to get honest about who you are becoming and what you truly desire is also healthy and wise. But the hard part - and the most important part of all of this - is coming back and living heart-open and awake in this day. Because this messy practice is how you bridge the gap between what is and where you are heading. Summary:This sermon focuses on the story of two disciples walking on the road to Emmaus after Jesus' crucifixion, where Jesus appears to them but they don't recognize Him initially. The pastor emphasizes that Jesus meets us in our painful moments and intense struggles, even when we don't recognize His presence. The message highlights how circumstances and pain can cloud our vision of Jesus, but truth is always available on the road of life. The sermon concludes with the importance of moving beyond mere claims about faith to experiencing the true manifestation of Jesus' power in our lives through genuine communion with Him.Key Verses:Luke 24:13-35Isaiah 53:3Luke 24:25Luke 24:29Luke 24:32Life Application:This week, identify one painful or difficult situation you're currently facing. Instead of trying to handle it alone, intentionally invite Jesus into that situation through prayer and ask Him to reveal His presence and purpose in it. Look for ways He might already be working that you haven't recognized yet.

This episode personal. I'm sharing a major life update: I'm going back to school at 49 to pursue my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. This new chapter means I'm pressing pause on the podcast so I can focus my time and energy on deeper, more embodied work with my 1:1 clients, the Clear Vision Builders Book Club, in-person gatherings, and my upcoming therapeutic training. In this conversation, I'm opening up about why now is the time for reinvention, what led me to pursue mental health counseling, and how the lineage of strong, brave women in my family shaped this decision. I also share what's continuing in my business, what's shifting, and all the ways you and I can stay connected in this next era. If you've ever wondered what it looks like to truly follow your Clear Vision in real time, this episode is an intimate behind-the-scenes look into my own evolution. With love, Lisa My Offerings Clear Vision Builders Eight weeks of coaching, meditation, community, and meaningful action. Our next cohort begins January 2026.
You'll hear people tell you that you need to create “SMART Goals” or that “You have to make your professional goals line up with your personal goals.” Or, “The best way to develop your future self is to create an action plan of smaller goals moving you toward more attainable goals.”I suppose that all of those things are true. But my advice is not to overly complicate the process. In “plain speak,” figure out where you want to go, determine a route to get you there, and start moving. Here is the step-by-step goal-setting process that I use.1) Create a Clear Vision of Where You Are Heading (Long-Term Goals).2) Define Your Milestones (Your Midterm Goals).3) Set Daily and Weekly Action Plans to Move You Toward the Next Milestone (Short-Term Goals).4) Track Your Progress Visibly Along the Way. (That's One More Mile Down.)5) Review Your Goals Regularly and Make Adjustments When Needed. On this episode, I'm going to cover each of these steps in more detail.Show Notes: Set Clear Goals to Move Toward Your Vision for Success(https://www.buildingyourteam.com/create-clear-goals-to-move-toward-your-vision-for-success/)
You'll never feel ready to begin. You just decide. In this episode, Lisa shares the behind-the-scenes of her Build Your Clear Vision book launch — which hit bestseller status in multiple categories — and the deeper lesson that emerged from that milestone: readiness is not a feeling, it's a decision. She opens up about what it really takes to move from dreaming to doing, how women can release the pressure to "save the world," and why accountability, structure, and self-care are the secret ingredients to turning vision into reality. You'll also hear about the Clear Vision Builders Book Club, an 8-week live experience co-led by Lisa and meditation coach Derrick Yanford. Together, they'll help you build your Clear Vision from concept to completion with practical strategy, soulful guidance, and embodied practices that keep you grounded and in flow. In this episode: The truth about "feeling ready" and what it actually means to start The moment Lisa realized that aligned action matters more than saving the world How radical self-care fuels creative productivity Why accountability is the missing link between clarity and completion What you'll experience inside the Clear Vision Builders Book Club If you're ready to stop waiting for the perfect moment and start building what matters most, this conversation is for you.

Episode Highlights & Time Stamps 1:28 – Patterns of CEO Life 2:31 – The Importance of Vision 5:20 – Revealing Blind Spots 7:09 – Resetting Priorities 8:49 – Reframing Perspectives 9:25 – Realigning Your Team 10:56 – The Value of Coaching Understanding CEO Coaching & Overcoming Overwhelm In this episode, I delve into the true essence of CEO coaching and its transformative impact on both business performance and personal leadership growth. Many CEOs feel overwhelmed, pressured by endless tasks, and trapped in habits that don't serve their long-term goals. I discuss why working longer hours isn't the answer and emphasize the importance of letting go of lower-value work to focus on what truly drives impact. We begin by examining the first steps of coaching, identifying what a client genuinely desires for their business. Establishing a clear vision is critical, as it not only sets direction but also aligns the team. Without a well-defined objective, leaders often operate reactively rather than proactively. Through coaching, we identify these gaps and develop strategies that align with genuine aspirations. Revealing Blind Spots & Resetting Priorities A key focus of coaching is uncovering blind spots that hinder growth. Many CEOs struggle with patterns of impatience, control, or other behaviors that limit both personal and organizational progress. Through reflective questioning, leaders gain insight into these hidden challenges, enabling them to break unproductive patterns and accelerate growth. We then explore resetting priorities, helping leaders determine what they are truly optimizing for, whether financial growth, innovation, or team development. Each leader's journey is unique, and coaching provides a tailored approach to focus energy on the highest-impact areas. Additionally, we discuss the importance of reframing challenges, demonstrating how shifts in perspective can reveal new opportunities and solutions that were previously obscured. Realigning Teams & Embracing Change Growth often requires realigning teams. The people who helped build the business may not always fit the vision for the future. Coaching provides guidance on having difficult conversations and making courageous decisions that strengthen alignment toward shared goals. I share stories from my coaching experience that show how realignment can transform team dynamics and drive substantial business growth. Throughout the episode, I emphasize that maintaining the status quo won't propel leaders to the next level. By embracing change, identifying blind spots, and making strategic adjustments, CEOs can achieve faster progress, reduced stress, and greater clarity. I conclude by inviting leaders to explore my personalized coaching programs, designed to help operators evolve into visionary CEOs. These sessions provide practical tools, mentorship, and actionable insights to unlock leadership potential and accelerate business success. Key Takeaways Vision before strategy: Growth begins with defining a clear, compelling vision that aligns your entire organization. Awareness precedes change: Recognizing control patterns, impatience, or outdated habits is the first step to transformation. Prioritize for impact: Identify what you're optimizing for, financial success, innovation, culture, and align your efforts accordingly. Perspective is everything: Reframing problems often reveals the breakthroughs you've been missing. Team alignment drives results: The people who got you here may not be the ones to take you there, lead with courage and clarity. What does your ideal business and life look like? The more captivating this vision, the more motivated you'll stay when challenges arise. But vision alone isn't enough. Like training for a marathon, you need digestible action steps that move you consistently toward your goal. You wouldn't start by running 26.2 miles; you'd begin with three miles and build from there. The same principle applies to your business goals. Break down your North Star into small, manageable tasks that compound over time. The final piece—and often the most overlooked—is accountability. Checking in with yourself regularly ensures you're making progress, but partnering with someone else dramatically increases your chances of success. When someone else knows your goals and expects updates, you're far more likely to follow through. This accountability system creates a rhythm of compounding wins that gradually transform your vision into reality. Ready to create the life of your dreams? Start with these three components today, and watch how quickly your crystal clear vision begins materializing before your eyes.
