Die in the flesh -- live in Christ. How? The Holy Spirit! He is in us, always, Next question: How do we treat that reality? Sometimes, this truth is overwhelming that we decide to fall back and live as we are used to in fear that we don't know how to live in the Spirit. That is so fair! Being alive in Christ is brand new. It's always brand new. Know that He is in your every heartbeat. Allow Him to lead you to love Jesus --- heart, mind, and soul --- completely. His presence will become your breath. Trust Him to lead. You, follow. He will never leave you---even when you do not "feel" Him. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Savor your time with God; it will carry you throughout your day. He gives us our Daily Bread. Every day. Focus on the Daily Bread/Scripture given to you by the Holy Spirit. This is an intentional meal for the day set before you. Focus on that, and God will use it. Consider this truth: God has removed the log in your eye through the blood of Jesus Christ. Savoring His Word throughout your day will instruct you and teach you how to live "log-less." In turn, savoring His Word will allow the Lord the freedom to keep your heart clean, so that He can use you to help others do the same through the precious and powerful Word of God! Hosted on Acast. 1 Corinthians 8Here is a breath of renewal and strength, of identity and freedom, of newness and power—which is exactly what Jesus offers to us. It is exactly what Jesus desires to offer to the person beside you—wherever that may be. Therefore, Paul says, couple your knowledge of freedom with love. Hosted on Acast. Do we have the Spirit by works or by hearing with Faith? This is our question upon salvation, and it is our question day after day, moment after moment, growth upon growth. Pay attention to whom you are listening. What is the purpose behind your works -- make sure your heart follows Jesus. It is easy to lead others astray when you are not following the Holy Spirit. Satan's first presence on earth was with the intent of separating man from God and man from his wife. Why? What is in marriage that is a personal attack on Satan? Why does he hate it so desperately? Because the image of marriage is a beautiful symbolism of our personal relationship with God Almighty through the love displayed by Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. Hosted on Acast. The Spirit graciously opens our eyes to behold life through the lens of eternity rather than the earthly lens we know all too well. Insert the question of earthly beauty. How are we to behold earthly beauty through the lens of eternity? Scripture answers this questions so sweetly and without judgment. To settle a dispute among yourselves is honorable; and, friend, it is attainable. The presence of Jesus in your heart, the Spirit alive within you, and God on His Throne will help you. May we purpose—each and every day, every moment—to recall these three truths. May we etch them in our minds, write them on our mirrors, post them on our screens. Jesus is here. The Spirit is here. God is here. See it. Feel it. Walk in it. Speak in it. Respond in it. Be the evidence of it. Not because you are faking and trying to but because He is, and you are His. Proceed in His presence day by day, moment by moment, victory by victory, strength by strength; and then breathe. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Gail shared a personal self evaluation: "Am I serving the Lord or am I serving Women Inseparable?" We had a vulnerable conversation as self evaluation happened, unscripted. If today is the last day you get to serve the Lord as you know it today, then what would your tomorrow look like? Always remember: God will be with you wherever He sends you. A specific ministry isn't the identity of your relationship with God. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
When we utilize judgment as a tool of protection toward the body of Christ, we do not apply this in the same manner as casting stones of judgment. We must see the difference. If we don't, we might completely negate the love of Jesus spilled out on the cross. He died for all. He conquered sin for all. He rose again for all. But not everyone knows that. It is our sweet opportunity as the eyes that see Jesus to bring the blind to Christ. How does a child of God proclaim the freedom from sin while we sit in the mud with a Christian who refuses to get out of the mud? It is counterproductive. Hosted on Acast. If we remember who we are, and our hands are busy building upon that firm Foundation, then there is no finger space to hold or throw those condemning stones of judgment. Yet, we do. Paul declares, I am not the Judge, for “I do not even judge myself…It is the Lord who judges me.” How free to claim this truth as a woman in society today. No longer would we condemn our appearances or actions, our decisions as a wife or as a mom, or how we worship or what we wear to church. We are free from self-judgment. Therefore, we are free to no longer compare ourselves to one another. God is our Judge, and our Judge loves each of us where we are. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
God leads us to the words we need to hear and what He has in store for us daily. It's humbling to think God gave us a piece of Himself to live inside us. This truth ought to help us look at our daily situations as Spirit filled rather than as a "natural man" (past internal records). The Holy Spirit meets each of us as we are/where we are. And here we stand on the foundation of Christ with a free mind to choose how we are going to build. We see the six resources listed: gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw. And this entire process sounds so new, so hard. But like the early Corinthian believers, we, too, need to get to work. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The more we consume the Word of God, the more confidence we have in the truth of the Word of God. Scripture says we have the mind of Christ; therefore, consume the Word with His mind --- full faith and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit. This will grow us in His knowledge allowing us to be vigilant in testing what we hear (worldly teaching/false teaching) against Scripture. There are a lot of lies out there. May we combat every lie with the Sword---just as Jesus did! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Today, as I write this study on a book that I battle with so terribly, I pray. And in my prayer for wisdom and knowledge, I see, “but we have the mind of Christ.” I sit silently in this truth. (Stand in Truth; page 26) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We know He's always with us --- that we are always filled with Him. Sometimes we feel it; other times we do not. Regardless of the earthly feeling, we trust that Scripture is true and that the Holy Spirit is always present. This truth gives us the freedom to be real with Him and with one another. John 10 and Ezekiel 34 came to life in our discussion today. May we never trample or muddy what the Lord provides for others. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
May I set out a basket? I hope it will be a small one, but setting out a basket is necessary. Here is my request as you enter this study: Will you drop a rock into our beloved basket? You can label it or drop it in anonymously. You can cling to it if so desired. I certainly do at times. Feel free to shove your rock in your pocket or cute handbag. Again, I certainly have. In fact, when starting this journey through the letter to the Corinthians, I had a basket of stones decorating my desk, a few scattered at my feet, and a couple propped beside my keyboard—just in case. We can relax and rest in the work the Holy Spirit is doing with our unsaved family and friends. The Holy Spirit can give us peace even when we see friends and family walking in darkness. The job of the Holy Spirit is to work around the lives of the unsaved and in the lives of the saved. The Holy Spirit never stops working. 2000 years without rest. Ponder that. Allow this truth to be a salve to your heart for your unsaved family and friends. Instead of wearing the weight of your unsaved person, will you lift them up in prayer and embrace the Joy of the Lord? The Holy Spirit has it! Hosted on Acast. Past mistakes/regrets of saying no to God help us grow to saying yes more easily. May we not condemn ourselves for saying no; rather, may we learn to trust God's work in us. God uses us to do terrifying things to: 1) help us grow, 2) help us see things through the eyes of Eternity. 3) allow us to obey and trust Him, 4) keep us filled with that childlike excitement! The first step is not measurable or actionable. The first step is sweetly saying yes. Enjoy the process of practicing. Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ -- one step at a time. Hosted on Acast. The Holy Spirit wants us to take that step of faith. Scripture will always back up what the Spirit tells us to do. Trust the Lord! Who are we to stand in God's way? Consider this: God has confidence that you will say yes to what He desires to do in and through you -- let us not stand in His way with our doubt, fear, apprehensions, etc.... Hosted on Acast. A believer's decision to ignore the presence of the Holy Spirit in their life does not have the authority to remove the Spirit of God from their life. They are, however, making a personal decision to live a Christian existence that is void of an intimate relationship with God. My prayer is that we will all allow the Holy Spirit to testify the truth of John 1 within our hearts, souls, and minds. The Word of God helps us grow in our relationship with Him. It's a precious love letter to you and to me. It is alive! God desires to reveal something new to you, daily. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Easy answer -- they choose to. How do we know the Bible is true? It is the Holy Spirit in us that points us to the truth of the Word of God. The Spirit testifies because the Spirit is the truth. When a person falls in love with Jesus Christ, the Spirit has the freedom to point her to the truth of His Word. The Holy Spirit, history, and His death on the cross all testify and agree on who Jesus is. The first step to believing the validity of the Bible is to fall in love with Jesus Christ as your Lord and as your Savior. Romans 10:9-10 Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
What an abundant discussion! We found ourselves having a Spirit led Scripture study in Luke 9. The disciples were able to see the Holy Spirit in Jesus and experience the Spirit in them for a moment, for the purpose of fulfilling God's eternal plan. After Jesus ascended (Acts 1) then the Disciples were given what you and I have today --- the Holy Spirit in us 24 hours a day! Let Jesus be your example of what being led by the Spirit looks like and Follow Him. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Consider our God -- God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: One! The Disciples were given a physical relationship with Jesus. They did not need the Holy Spirit inside them because they had Jesus with them. Whenever Jesus sent them out 2x2, He gave them the Spirit. If Jesus remained in the flesh, His impact would have been for that generation. But the Holy Spirit can impact the world. The Spirit points us to Jesus on the Cross and the empty Cross points us to the Father. Selah Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
