Then, Urban Farming for social justice with Duron Chavis. 25th Anniversary of the Durban Declaration Criminalizing the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and the Fight for Reparations Roger Wareham is a human rights lawyer who specializes in International Law & Criminal Law.  He was a lead counsel in the Central Park 5's (now the Exonerated 5) convictions in New York City and in the federal class action lawsuit seeking reparations from 17 major U.S. corporations.  He is a former political prisoner and has represented several political prisoners.  Roger is a founding member of the December 12th Movement, a Black non-governmental organization defending the human rights of Black people, both in the U.S. and throughout the African Diaspora. Dr. Lawrence “Jahi” Johnson is a professor of Sociology at Brooklyn College at the City University of New York.  His teaching and scholarly interests revolve around the study of Black Politics in the United States. He is a member of the December 12th Movement, a Pan-African human rights organization who operates locally and internationally on issues from police brutality to reparations. Urban Farming for social justice Duron Chavis is an Urban Farmer, Educator, Change Maker. Duron has been a pivotal figure in community advocacy in Richmond. He is the founder of the Central Virginia Agrarian Commons, and Happily Natural- organizations that work to increase access to land and healthy food for black and brown communities.
