What does it look like to raise children with faith, grace, and courage in a world full of fear and comparison? In this heartfelt conversation, Shelley Giglio sits down with DeAnza Duron—pastor, mother of seven, and grandmother to twenty-one—to talk about the power of grace in motherhood, the gift of trust in God's plan, and the daily choice to live in peace instead of fear. Together, they discuss the foundational truths of parenting—keeping a clean heart, anchoring your home in God's Word, and raising children to love and serve others. They also tackle fear, trust, and joy—reminding every woman listening that peace is possible, joy is worth fighting for, and choosing life in Jesus changes everything. With warmth, humor, and deep faith, DeAnza shares stories of raising her kids (including her daughter and fellow Grove girl, DawnCheré Wilkerson), practical wisdom for moms in every season, and the reminder that God fills in every gap we miss. DeAnza's stories will remind you that you don't have to get everything right—because God fills in the gaps. From French toast breakfasts and scripture at the table to singing “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” at bedtime, she shares how simple, faithful rhythms shape generations.Whether you're a mother or simply someone learning to trust God with what you can't control, this episode offers encouragement to fight for joy, walk in courage, and believe that grace is always enough. The Grove is an extension of all God is doing at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. What happens when “biblical parenting” becomes more about control than compassion? In this episode, I talk with Kelsey McGinnis and Marissa Burt, authors of The Myth of Good Christian Parenting, about the rise of evangelical parenting culture, from James Dobson and Bill Gothard to today's influencer economy, and how these ideas have shaped generations of families. Together, we explore how fear and hierarchy took root in the church's imagination, why so many parents feel trapped by formulas and shame, and what it might look like to recover freedom, grace, and mutuality in our homes. This is a conversation about rethinking authority, rediscovering gentleness, and learning to see our children as people to love, not projects to manage.Marissa Franks Burt (MTh, Columbia International University) is a novelist, editor, teacher, and cohost of the At Home with the Lectionary podcast. As our culture has emphasized subjectivism, placing the individual at the center of knowledge, emotions have become the arbiter of authority. This has led to tragic consequences. This sermon focuses on the biblical purpose and methods for parenting. Focusing on Hebrews 12, we learn principles of discipline, instruction, and long-term effects of parenting.

We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson is a carefully crafted full-on rant about two awful cultural failures, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift. Both, in their own ways, are failing the next generation and pushing the normalization of pedophilia. Trump refuses to release the Epstein list or hold powerful pedophiles accountable. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift flaunts her naked body on her album cover marketed to an audience that includes young girls who are already being tempted by a society pushing them toward OnlyFans. Feminism has clearly failed. We need to bring back the biblical patriarchy, AKA Christianity. At some point, we have to stop asking why is all of this happening and start living biblically individually, in our families, and as a society. For the sake of our own wellbeing and (far more importantly) the protection of our children. If we can't even agree to safeguard their innocence, what are we doing? On today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we're taking a hard look at Taylor Swift's new pornographic-themed album cover, The Life of a Showgirl. From the drinking and partying she parades as normal to her descent into porn culture, Swift has become a dangerous influence on young girls—and really, on everyone. We'll also address the cult-like following surrounding her, and why parents have a biblical responsibility to guard their children from this idolatry and from being exposed to Taylor Swift's sinful pornographic example. Darkness must be exposed, and the Word of God gives us the standard by which to measure it. We will also discuss how disgusting it is to excuse sin by simply labeling it “adult entertainment.” Unfriendly reminder: Civilization is currently collapsing. Today, we're discussing the recent controversy surrounding Shiloh Hendrix, who called a black child a racial slur at a playground instead of taking the concern to the child's parents. This behavior is not only unacceptable—it's unchristian. As followers of Christ, we are called to be above reproach (1 Timothy 3:2), especially when dealing with the next generation. God will not judge us by our skin color, so why are we so quick to judge others by theirs? We can simultaneously be aware of the statistics about certain cultures within particular races, and realize that this is not how we handle those problems. We'll explore the biblical approach to conflict resolution. When there's a problem with a child's behavior, the godly route is to speak directly with their parents—not to attack the child. Christians must hold one another accountable. --https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

Teaching children how to manage disputes will not only help their sibling and peer relationships but will also set them up for success in marriage, work, and friendships as they grow.Forgiveness is a choice, not just a feeling. The Bible teaches that we should forgive as we have been forgiven, meaning that choosing to forgive—rather than holding onto resentment—leads to healing, unity, and restored relationships. Helping children understand this truth early on will equip them with the ability to extend grace to others.Strong relationships are the foundation for reducing conflict. When children feel secure, loved, and connected, they are less likely to engage in unnecessary disputes.
