We have a Bonus episode up! It's a little early in our series, I know, but we're all gamers and every so often we just want to talk about games and events! In this episode, we talk about recent GameStop news, but also anticipation for E3!
We have a special guest and former coworker, Cricket, in this bonus episode where we discuss our post-E3 impressions. Also, about 34 minutes in, we discuss a very unlikely theory about next-gen consoles (particularly Sony and Microsoft). We also had a minor issue issue with our mics caused by the USB hub they were connected to causing them to power off, but no significant audio problems were prominent.
The Gi boys reunite to talk what did or rather didn't happen at E3 2019, Apex Legends Season 2, My Friend Pedro, The Switch Lite and more! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/giupdates/message

Some E3 news slipped through the cracks, so it's up to Daniel and Sean to catch those suckers! Fire Emblem Three Houses is very slightly less creepy than we dreaded, Pokemon Sword and Shield has less Pokemon than some people hoped, and we take another look at the hype level of Dragon Quest Hero. This week we dive into the free to play monster hunter game Dauntless. This is made by Phoenix Labs and it's similar to Monster Hunter in that you track down monsters to harvest them for better armor and weapons. It's unique in that it's totally free to play and a lot of fun despite some noticable bugs. Brett also revisits an old favorite of his on the PS4. In our news, before E3 Nintendo made sure to have a special direct revealing lots more details on Pokemon Sword & Shield. We have dynamaxing, new characters and an introduction of co-op raids. Additionally, Google announced pricing and supported games for Google Stadia ahead of E3. Destiny also announces their new DLC Shadowkeep. The discussion this week is all about the first part of E3. We talk about the weekend of conferences such as EA Play's live stream, Microsoft, Bethesda and Ubisoft. Next week we'll return with our final thoughts on the showcase with Square Enix, Nintendo and of course more details on gameplay and reveals. On today's show, Marc talks about the first day of E3, from Xbox to EA to Bethesda, touching upon everything that grabbed their interest, including the surprising announcement of a new Flight Simulator, the "what the hell is going on" appearance of Keanu Reeves, and the news of Double Fine joining Microsoft Game Studios. E3 is almost here and it's time to predict what Nintendo's going to be showing at the event! But between all the stuff that's already been announced, from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, to Link's Awakening, to Pokemon Sword and Shield, to Animal Crossing, is there even anything left to predict? This year we attended DreamHack for the first time since it came to our neck of the woods in Dallas. We had the opportunity to see Jeff Goldblum and talk to lots of great indie devs. We share our highlights such as Dreamscaper, Splitgate, Witch, Due Process and more. In the news, Death Stranding finally gets a release date and we see the first reveal of the reimagining of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Microsoft is also finally bringing Game Pass to PC! E3 2019 is upon us and that means lots of news and predictions. We dive deep into each major player in the conferences and talk about what we know and what we expect to come. From Nintendo to Microsoft, there is a lot of speculation floating around where they're both looking to have a huge year. For the first time, Playstation won't be present so Microsoft is going to have the biggest presentation most likely. Check out video clips of our news every week over on YouTube. E3 approaches and with it our predictions for everybody's favorite video-game trade show. The family gathers 'round the dinner table and dishes on their gaming hopes, dreams, and outlandish wishes. Beforehand, however, we of course pay tribute to the Headlines Goddess, the one who bestoweth the headlines upon us. This week's blessing is, of course, much lighter than most weeks considering everyone's saving their haymaker's for mid-June, but we nonetheless cover all the important stuff including the rebirth of the iPod Touch. So, if you're looking for an outstanding way to kill an hour, look no further. We've got you covered. Enjoy!

It's that time of the year again! Daniel and Sean get their full prediction coverage of E3 started, kicking off with every non-Nintendo company presentation at the event, from Electronic Arts to Square Enix to Devolver Digital. It's Daniel and Sean though, so there's still plenty of Nintendo discussion to be had. Like, how cozy are Microsoft and Nintendo gonna be? And... oh no they're talking about the Nintendo Cinematic Universe again... Also featuring a giveaway of a very cool crossover platform fighter: Indie Pogo!
